OHIO UNIVERSITY

ATHENS, OHIO

In 1786, 11 men gathered at the Bunch of Grapes Tavern in Boston to propose development of the area north of the Ohio River and west of the Allegheny Mountains known then as the Ohio Country. Led by Manasseh Cutler and Rufus Putnam, the Ohio Company petitioned Congress to take action on the proposed settlement. The eventual outcome was the enactment of the Northwest Ordinance of 1787, which provided for settlement and government of the territory and stated that “…schools and the means of education shall forever be encouraged.”

In 1803, Ohio became a state and on February 18, 1804, the Ohio General Assembly passed an act establishing “The Ohio University.” The University opened in 1808 with one building, three students, and one professor, Jacob Lindley. One of the first two graduates of the University, Thomas Ewing, later became a United States senator and distinguished himself as cabinet member or advisor to four presidents.

LOCAL ADVISOR CAMPAIGN

During the transition from Jackson Hole Real Estate Associates to Compass Real Estate. We wanted to keep our local roots, as many of the agents who are on the team were born and raised in Jackson, it was imparitive to keep the connection to the community.

I developed an initial three month campaign that included an open letter to the community of Jackson that spoke to how much each and every person on the team had deep roots, and love for the area.

To the right you will see examples from the campaign, including social media posts, newspaper ads, and newsletter templates.

Dear Jackson Hole, You have been our home since day one. We have weathered your winter storms. heard the elk bugle in the fall, witnessed the riverbanks swell in the spring, and spent countless hours on your trails in the summer. We’ve told your story around 1,000 camp fires. We may have a new name, but we are here to keep telling your story as we enter a new chapter. And while changing a storyline is never easy, we will be here with you every step of the way. That’s what happens when you grow up together. Cheers to the best chapter yet.

Jackson Hole Real Estate Market Report MID-YEAR

QUARTERLY MARKET REPORTS

Quarterly I create market reports for three areas, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Star Valley, Wyoming and Teton Valley, Idaho. These market reports are the most indepth of their kind in their respective areas.

Starting with extracting and compiling the data. I then interpret it, and design a well thought out, cohesive presentation, that explains the data in an easily digestable way. Telling the story of each market.

Deliverables include: A comprehensive report to be used both digitally and printed, social media assets, and a newsletter template.

BIANNUAL CATALOG

Printed twice yearly, Experience Jackson Hole: Catalog of Fine Properties and Lifestyle, is a flagship publication. Featuring a selection of exceptional properties alongside in-depth articles about what makes the region and us extraordinary, the Catalog offers a turnkey, cost-effective way to reach a broad audience of discerning buyers, sellers, visitors and locals.

There is a lot of preparation that goes into this catalog, gathering properties, writing articles, and ad and layout design. I work with a team of writers and designers to make this piece happen in the summer and winter.

Here is the most recent version.

MARKETING MANAGER

JACKSON WHOLE GROCER, WYOMING

Jackson Whole Grocer was an independent, locallyowned grocery store focused on high quality everyday essentials and organic natural foods. The Whole Grocer is a community space for locals to eat, shop, and be inspired by local and natural foods.

The photo to the left was taken in 2017 before the solar eclipse.

Jackson Whole Grocer, was recently purchased by Whole Foods.

As the Marketing Manager at Jackson Whole Grocer, I created and led company marketing initiatives through strategic planning, community outreach, integrated media placement, and brand development.

Restructured marketing programs, processes, policies, and standards to improve customer, partner, and employee experience. Created voice and structure tailored to the community, for social media and e-news campaigns that align with customer demographics, and increased engagement.

Facilitated continued education for the marketing team to create professional growth and employee retention. Developed and managed a six figure budget.

GET ROOTED

Each month I developed campaigns that could be experienced throughout the store. I would work with the department managers to develop a plan around what types of products were in season and promote them accordingly.

Get Rooted was one of my favorites, as we featured local vendors, root vegetables, and held a locals discount day.

Deliverables included: In-store signage in all departments, social media, newsletters, and a featured item in all departments.

BEST IN SHOW

While I was at Jackson Whole Grocer, we were the first grocer in the valley to launch online shopping. It was a difficult program to pitch, but once it caught on, it soared to heights we couldn’t have predicted.

For 10 consecutive years JWG was voted best grocer in the valley, best health food store, and placed in the sustainability category.

Bacon Fest was another favorite campaign of mine, and Explore Your National Porks was ultimately fitting given the location.

Deliverables included: In-store signage in all departments, social media, newsletters, and a featured item in all departments.

LET’S GET IN TOUCH

I am looking forward to the chance to introduce myself, and get to know you better! Please reach out when it is convenient for you.
