What is Just 12? - EXTENDED FOR A FURTHER WEEK

Just 12 is the name we have given to a 12-question survey about employee engagement, developed by global analytics firm Gallup. The survey will ask questions designed to measure how engaged you are both at work and with the organisation’s goals and to support creating a workplace where individuals and teams can thrive.

The survey will close Monday 6 October 2025.

You will receive an email from Gallup that contains a link to the survey. You will also be able to scan the Just 12 QR code in the blah blah blah, and posted around the hospital, if you wish to complete the survey from your smart device.

Opt into the prize draw and you could win a $50 gift card, sponsored by RemServ. There’s one gift card to be given away each day of the survey. Click here to read the terms and conditions.

Daily prizes will continue for a further week.

Health Safety and Wellbeing

October Saftey Month

October is National Safe Work Month, and this year’s theme is “Safety: every job, every day.”

Throughout October, we’ll be going back to basics with a four-week campaign focused on building a safer workplace for everyone.

Each week, we’ll cover a key safety topic:

Week 1: Identifying Hazards

Week 2: Assessing Risks

Week 3: Controlling Risks

Week 4: Reviewing Controls

Please print and display these materials in a prominent area of your unit for the month of October. Each poster includes a QR code—just scan it to access more information and resources from Safe Work Australia.

By working together and keeping safety front of mind, we can help protect ourselves, our colleagues, and our patients every day.

Stay alert. Stay safe!

You can click the “posters” to print, download, and share amongst your colleagues or in your department for Safety Month.

Child Sexual Abuse Service Consultation Lines are available statewide

About the consultation line

The Queensland Health Child Sexual Abuse Service (QH-CSAS) has a new 24/7 consultation line to provide specialist medical advice to healthcare staff caring for children under 14 years who have experienced sexual abuse.

This service is available to healthcare professionals from Emergency departments, Child Protection Units and general Paediatricians. It complements existing local care pathways and supports timely, trauma-informed care for children across Queensland. Clinicians are encouraged to initially consult their local HHS paediatric service where available.

How you can help

We’d appreciate you sharing the news about this expansion with your colleagues, and we’ve attached an internal news story, fact sheet and flow chart.

This referral line strengthens connections between teams, helping us share knowledge and expertise, support local responses, and ensure consistent, high-quality care wherever a child presents.
