Hey Key Clubbies!

As winter settles in and we transition into the new year, I think it’s important for all of us to take a moment and remember the blessings we had throughout the past school year and service year. Hey Key Clubbies!

First off, thank you to everyo who has stuck around for thi service year thus far! I hope that we can all enter the year of 2023 with more service and dedication :) With that being said, we had a bunch of fun events throughout December and January that I would like to highlight. As usual, the NYSo Holiday Mania was the epitom of December as we celebrat holiday festivities while havin houses, dressing up as reindeers, and spreading love to kids with a shower of gifts! To end off the year, our annual Ice Skating fundraiser with Bayside Key Club spread joy and love as members skated their way around the icy rink and supported St. Jude’s Hospital! During the month of January, our Laser Tag fundraiser really started the year off with a BANG! (literally) as participants had the chance to play unlimited arcade games and shoot laser beams in the glowing dark. Not only that, the Lunar New Year Parade gave us a chance to appreciate the start of a new year in China while witnessing the iconic lion dances. As we approach the new service year, I hope that we can put in our all for the last two months <3

Out of all the events that I attended at this point, I believe that Holiday Mania was my favorite event to volunteer in.

Funnily enough, this was the third event I attended hosted by NYSOM, as well as the third event I went to overall. They are a great organization and I cannot wait for any of their upcoming events.
