Three Year Club’s Virtual Cocktail Class By Katie Susko
M
embers who have been part of the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club for three years or less form the Three Year Club, which has events throughout the year. To kick off 2021, the club got an exclusive virtual cocktail class with a member favorite, bartender Kishor. Members were able to pick up all of the ingredients to make three different cocktails at home, along with recipe cards to keep. Then, they logged onto Zoom on January 28 ready to learn. Kishor was stationed at the old Spinnaker Bar with Commodore Gary Marowske, who was the official on-site taste tester for the class. Kishor demonstrated how to make each cocktail while the members at home worked alongside him. The rosemary maple bourbon sour was the crowd favorite, but the honey-kissed cosmopolitan and the hot tea toddy were also well loved. The group loved the conversations and cocktails with Kishor and Commodore Marowske.
