Hearing Aid Performance Checks

Wondering if your hearing aids are working properly? We can test how well they’re performing with something called electroacoustic analysis. This means that we can check your hearing aids’ performance against the standards they are supposed to meet. If you’re having trouble hearing and wear technology, it might not be your hearing – your hearing aids could be the issue. Most practices don’t offer this kind of testing, but it’s the only way to know if your hearing aids are doing their job right.

Superior Disaster Preparedness Workshops

NATURE AND FOREST THERAPY

All Ages | Community Park

The Disaster Preparedness and Recovery team is proud to introduce Nature and Forest Therapy to the community – an exciting milestone in the Town of Superior’s commitment to resilience, recovery, and well-being. This initiative expands our ability to offer meaningful, naturebased experiences that promote healing and renewal for the body, mind, and spirit.

What is Nature & Forest Therapy? Inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku (forest bathing), Nature and Forest Therapy is the art of immersing oneself in nature to support health, wellness, and overall happiness. Through guided experiences, certified guides invite participants to fully engage their senses, fostering a deep and restorative connection with the natural world. Research has shown that forest therapy can boost immune function, lower blood pressure and stress levels, enhance mood and cognitive focus, increase energy, and improve sleep quality.

Each guided walk provides a unique and profound opportunity for both individuals and the land to heal together – and no, this is not a strenuous hike!

Join us for this restorative journey in nature!

swimgrouplesson overview

The purpose of the Town of Superior Group Swim Lesson Program is to teach kids how to be comfortable and safe in water, and to develop their swimming skills so they can go on to enjoy a lifetime of swimming. We do this by focusing on the three pillars of Water Acclimation, Water Safety, and Stroke Development.

How Do I Enroll My Child?

The summer Group Swim Lesson Class Schedule can be found online at superiorcolorado.gov/pools.

If necessary, please reference the “Which group swim lesson class is right for your child?” chart to assist in choosing the correct class during registration. Please note that swimmers willbeassessedonthefirstdayofclassandwemightneed tomoveyourswimmertoamoreappropriatelevel.

The online registration option at superiorcolorado.gov/pools is the easiest way to register and has the most accurate information on when classes are full, added or canceled. Registration is on a first-come, first-filled basis. Our classes are small groups with no more than 4 swimmers per instructor in most classes, so they fill up quickly!

How Can I Help My Child Succeed in Swim Lessons?

The first day of class, swimmers’ skill levels will be tested to make sure they are in the appropriate classes. If we determine after the session begins that your child needs to be placed into a different skill level for the session, please discuss with the Site Manager supervising lessons. If there is room in another class (either current or future), we will make the transfer and the class roster will be updated. If we are unable to place your child into a different class, you will need to go online and request a class refund or household credit.

Each child progresses differently. Many swimmers take more than one session to master the skills needed to graduate from a level. If your child is enrolled in a current ongoing session and you want to register for a future session, pleasespeaktoyourchild’sinstructorandtheSite Managerbeforeregistering . Doing this will help prevent confusion or uncertainty down the road if it’s determined your child is not in the appropriate class.

If you have questions or concerns regarding your child’s lessons, including which level is correct for them, please talk to the Site Manager or reach out to the Swim Lesson Coordinator: Paul Garboczi at paul@elevationswim.com

Registration Helpful Hints

Be sure to verify at registration that your phone number and email address are accurate. If a class is canceled, a waitlist spot opens up, or there are any changes, we will contact you by email. Ifyourdesiredclassisfull, addyourchild’sname to the waitlist . We will open up additional classes based on the waitlist.

Class sizes are a minimum of three children and a maximum of four (Levels 1 - 4) or six (Levels 5 -6). Classes with less than 3 kids registered will be cancelled or merged with another class. If your class is cancelled or moved you may also request a class refund or household credit.

What If…

My child is sick? Please be considerate of other participants. Do not bring your child to lessons if they do not feel well. There are no credits or make-up lessons for missed classes.

Inclement weather? If a class is cancelled due to inclement weather you be notified by the Elevation Athletics Swim Lesson Coordinator. Makeup lessons will be held on Fridays at the same time as the regular class.

Other Options?

Private swim lessons are available for all ages. To learn more, visit superiorcolorado.gov/pools
