The location of festival is Torrita di Siena SI in a square of a beautiful medieval town of Tuscany, near the famous hill of Montepulciano, Pienza and Cortona.

Thousand fans come at Torrita Blues every year to see the famous overseas and euopean blues artist.

Over 200 band played at Torrita Blues like the most famous in the blues word scene: Peter Green, Taj Mahal, John Mayall, Robben Ford, Roy Rogers, Bettye Lavette, Popa Chubby, Canned Heat, Rick Estrin, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Eric Sardinas, Jimy Dawkins, Sam Myers, Luther Allison, Charlie Musselwhite, James Cotton, Magic Slim, Shemekia Copeland, Tom Principato, Michael, Coleman, Carey Bell.

June 22nd Main Stage 10.30 pm As a duo, guitarist/vocalist Dave Peabody and pianist Colin Earl play an entertaining mix of blues ‘n’ boogie and good ol’ rock and roll as heard on their new CD ‘Frets & Keys’. Dave and Colin are two true musical veterans of the British and international music scenes. They first met ten years ago when Dave was asked to become the vocalist in the King Earl Boogie Band - a group that Colin originally formed with fellow member Paul King after they left Mungo Jerry. Colin and Dave’s mutual love of blues and boogie has led to the pair moonlighting from the band to play numerous gigs as a duo.

Dave Peabody has gained recognition on the blues circuit having performed consistently since the mid 1960’s. His first band the Honest John Three won the National Jug Band Contest in 1966 and Dave has been voted UK Acoustic Blues Artist of the Year three times (for 1995, 2000 & 2001) by The British Blues Connection. Dave first recorded in 1971 as a member of Tight Like That and has subsequently appeared on over 40 albums and CD’s.

He’s played, toured and recorded with many American blues artists including Big Joe Duskin, Honeyboy Edwards, Charlie Musselwhite, Chicago Bob Nelson and Big Boy Henry. Known mostly for his acoustic playing he has in fact played in a number of electric bands including ex- Yardbirds guitarist Top Topham’s Bluestime.

June 22nd Main Stage 10.30 pm Colin Earl was inspired to play piano by Jerry Lee Lewis. A founder member of Mungo Jerry he played with group from ‘68 to ‘72 and from ’76 to ’80 and played on the band’s first three albums; ‘Mungo Jerry’ (1970), ‘Electronically Tested’ (1971) and ‘You Don’t Have To Be In The Army’ (1972) as well as the No. 1 singles ‘In The Summertime’ and ‘Baby Jump’. Colin played on the first Foghat album in 1971 going to the USA to play with the group between the years with Mungo Jerry. Colin’s first album with the King Earl Boogie Band was ‘Trouble At Mill’ recorded in late ‘72.

The group then recorded three albums as Skeleton Crew. Paul King left the band in ’96 and since Dave Peabody fulfilled the vacant slot the King Earl Boogie Band have recorded two live CD’s ‘Feelin’ Good’ recorded in Denmark in 1998 and ‘Loaded & Live’ recorded in Cornwall, UK in 2005

Fabrizio Poggi singer, Hohner Award harmonica player, traveller, musicologist, writer, journalist and amazing performer began to give birth, with music and words, to his musical inspiration: the blues and the amazing folk music of the Southern United States. http://joelouiswalker.com June 22nd Main Stage 11.30 pm San Francisco’s Fillmore District of the 1960s is known worldwide as the birthplace of psychedelic rock. But it was also a hotbed of modern electric blues, and it was the place where one of the genre’s top musical trailblazers, Joe Louis Walker, was born, raised and schooled. The award-winning guitar slinger, deeply soulful vocalist and gifted songwriter has been releasing groundbreaking music since 1986, but his career goes all the way back to the mid-1960s. As a 16-yearold, he was the house guitarist at San Francisco’s famed musical playground, The Matrix, where he played with or opened shows for everyone from Lightnin’ Hopkins (who once threw him off the stage) to Jimi Hendrix to Thelonious Monk. These ear-opening surroundings explain the ease with which Walker blends blues, rock, gospel, jazz and country, making it seem as if the walls between the styles never existed in the first place. The New York Times raves, “Walker is a singer with a Cadillac of a voice. He delivers no-nonsense, gutsy blues. His guitar solos are fast, wiry and incisive, moaning with bluesy despair.” According to Living Blues, he is “one of today’s modern musical masters.” Rolling Stone simply calls him “ferocious.”

Nowhere is that more apparent than in Walker’s Alligator Records debut, Hellfire. Produced by songwriter/drummer Tom Hambridge (producer of Buddy Guy’s two most recent Grammy-winning CDs, Skin Deep and Living Proof, as well as albums for Susan Tedeschi, George Thorogood and others), Hellfire burns with rock energy and intense blues feeling. Walker, who wrote or co-wrote seven of the CD’s eleven tracks, says it’s the hardest rocking and most deeply soulful album of his career. His blistering blues guitar playing and gospel-tinged vocals effortlessly blend throughout the album. From the psychedelic overtones of the title track (a harrowing and personal tale of the struggle of good versus evil) to the slow, simmering and pleading What’s It Worth to the Stones-y rocker Ride All Night, Hellfire is the work of a man possessed. Walker’s original showstopper Soldier For Jesus (featuring vocal harmonies from The Jordanaires, who also appear on Don’t Cry) fits seamlessly alongside the other selections, making perfect thematic sense in the tradition of Al Green, Marvin Gaye or Prince, who all successfully combined carnal desires and gospel devotion.

Joe Louis Walker was born in San Francisco on Christmas Day of 1949. His parents were both from the South and they brought their love of blues with them when they headed west. Joe’s dad played blues piano, and his mom played B.B. King records. Even though he wasn’t raised in the South, his exposure to the blues was pure and real. Walker picked up the guitar as a child, and by the time he was 16 was regularly backing touring blues artists rolling through town. Out of the house and on his own, under the wing of famed musician/pimp Fillmore Slim, Walker worked the local club scene steadily as an in-demand musician. San Francisco’s music scene was quickly becoming a melting pot of blues, jazz and psychedelic rock, and Walker was right in the center of it. In addition to his work at The Matrix, he was a regular at Bill Graham’s famed Fillmore West.

The blues legends Walker accompanied shared not only musical knowledge but also their personal wisdom with the teenage up-and-comer. Fred McDowell, Ike Turner, Albert King, Freddy King, Robert Jr. Lockwood, Lightnin’ Hopkins and many others taught, fed, and chastised the youngster. At one gig, Hopkins glared at Walker and, adding improvised lyrics to the song he was singing, ordered him off the stage for playing a sour

Torrita Blues Festival 2012 guide note. Lesson learned, Walker backed Hopkins the next time he was through town and all was forgiven. Blues icon Willie Dixon told him to set his sights high. “What’s your style? You need your own sound,” Dixon preached. Walker took the advice to heart and developed his own fiery, melodic, and always unpredictable guitar attack.

Walker met guitarist Michael Bloomfield in 1968 and the two became fast friends. Bloomfield introduced Walker to many of the day’s top rockers, including Sly Stone, Carlos Santana, Steve Miller, Bob Weir (of the Grateful Dead), Jorma Kaukonen (of Jefferson Airplane) and even jazz legend Wayne Shorter. Bloomfield helped push Walker’s blues in a more rock-fueled direction, and he became the single biggest influence on Walker’s sound. The two shared an apartment for years and remained close friends until Bloomfield’s death in 1981. Walker is quick to acknowledge Bloomfield’s impact, saying, “I can sometimes feel him in my playing.”

From 1975 to 1985 Walker performed nothing but gospel music, playing and singing as a member of The Spiritual Corinthians. During this period he attended San Francisco State University and earned two degrees, one in English and one in Music. While performing with The Spiritual Corinthians at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival in 1985, Walker was inspired by the R&B, blues and rock music swirling around him. He decided he could no longer limit himself to gospel music and returned to playing the blues. On the strength of a demo tape sent to Hightone Records, Walker was signed to his first recording contract. In 1986, the label released Walker’s debut CD, Cold Is The Night. Firmly rooted in blues, gospel, R&B and rock, the album caught the attention of music fans around the country. Billboard called it “a contemporary blues find.” The San Francisco Chronicle said, “He expertly updates the timeless urban blues sound.”

Since then, Walker has released 23 more albums and two DVDs and toured worldwide. He’s won four Blues Music Awards, including the 2010 Album Of The Year Award for Between A Rock And A Hard Place (Stony Plain Records), and has been nominated for 43 more. He’s also recorded as a guest with some of the blues world’s best-known artists, including appearances on Grammy-winning records by B.B. King and James Cotton.

With each subsequent release, Walker’s audience continues to grow, as his touring schedule continues to expand. He’s played major European festivals, including Northsea Jazz Festival, Glastonbury, Notodden and Montreux, as well as festivals in Japan, Australia, Taiwan, Ireland, Turkey and Brazil. He’s appeared on national television, with performances on Late Night With Conan O’Brien, The Don Imus Show and Later With Jools Holland in the UK. Fans and critics have been celebrating Walker for years. Blues Revue calls Walker “one of contemporary blues’ most dynamic and innovative musicians, releasing consistently exciting music. No matter what he’s singing, Walker’s approach is soulful, heartfelt and spellbinding.” Living Blues says, “His fretwork is indelibly stamped with his own trademark blend of emotional heat and impeccable precision—even at his most flamboyant, Walker sounds as if he’s playing ideas, not just notes.” A bluesman of immense talent and drive, Walker tours constantly, playing concerts and festivals across the globe. www.toddsharpville.com June 22nd Main Stage 11.30 pm Without a doubt, Todd Sharpville is one of the most soulful blues guitarists in the world today along with having a burgeoning reputation for being an incredibly sought-after songwriter & lyricist: a veritable “Randy Newman of the blues”! Additionally, his shows are famed for being highly intense affairs, emotionally charged and full of spirit. One of a small minority of British acts who’s a regular “face” on the international touring circuit, Sharpville is in the process of taking the USA by storm and reminding blues fans around the world of the invaluable contribution that Britain still offers to blues culture.

Born in London into a family of mixed heritage (half South American & half British) he was originally inspired as a child by 1950’s culture, purposely shunning the late 70’s & 80’s mainstream culture that surrounded his childhood.

Musically, he was touched by blues artists such as T. Bone Walker, Magic Sam, Hubert Sumlin, Freddie King, Peter Green & Lightnin' Hopkins. His non-blues heroes included artists as diverse as Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Lennon/McCartney, Willy Nelson & Woody Guthrie. Sharpville was lucky enough to have been mentored from the age of 16 by the legendary Californian bluesman Joe Louis Walker, having befriended him whilst Walker was on tour. This relationship heavily affected the young bluesman’s musical outlook and understanding of the idiom as a whole. Todd says “to this day, I still hear a bit of Joe in every lick I play. His unswerving individuality as an all-round musician deeply affected me. He taught me the most important lesson very early on in my development: how to be myself. Joe schooled me along with a couple of other kids at the time, and all of us ended up becoming pretty well known. He always referred to us as his puppies. I’m honoured to be a JLW puppy & will proudly tip my cap to Joe ‘till the day I die.” Todd began to develop his craft whilst surrounded by the backdrop of the London blues scene. He was inspired by a range of guitarists who shared jam session stages with him at venues like the “Station Tavern”, Camden’s “Dublin Castle” & the now legendary “Marquee Club” (where he played his first official show as a solo artist). He cites London guitarists Johnny Whitehill (of Paul Lamb & The Kingsnakes), early sidekick Roger “Mad Dog” Cohen and Snowy White as being formative teenage influences. Sharpville’s recording career ensued in 1994 when he was signed by the infamous British blues label Red Lightnin’ Records. Label boss Peter Shertser was historically known for a stable that included John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Peter Green & Buddy Guy, yet he found himself fascinated by Sharpville’s stylistic feel. Todd’s debut album "Touch Of Your Love" (Red Lightnin` Records RLCD0095) was recorded on an original 1950’s vintage valve multi-track at Bryn Derwyn studios in North Wales and released later that year. It featured a guest appearance from long-time British harmonica favourite & friend Paul Lamb. Up until then Todd could be found jamming at a variety of clubs and bars both home and abroad but it was in the wake of his debut release that he found critical acclaim from amongst the wider auspices of the blues world. Red Lightnin’ promptly licensed Sharpville’s material to a variety of other labels who added him to a mass of compilation releases, some of these selling in excess of 100,000 units. Since then, his discography (not even counting the numerous commercial sessions he has played on) boasts an impressive 36 releases. In 1994 Todd won "Best Album" in the British Blues Connection’s British Blues Awards shortly before winning "Best Guitarist" in 1995 (beating fellow nominees, Eric Clapton & Gary Moore). Todd consequently spent 23 years on the road promoting his debut, covering much of Europe along with parts of the USA. Interestingly, Todd remembers his debut with sadness: “I was angry that the label kept sub-licensing my music without my permission. I was too young & dumb at the time to really know what I was doing. The same goes for my musicality, it was pretty immature. I’d have preferred a longer gestation period before being thrown in at the deep end. I’m not fond of that record because of it. Also, my backing guitarist Roger “Mad Dog” Cohen had contributed to many of the songs but was never credited in the liner notes. He even played a couple of awesome solos on the album, but the label blamed their art department for accidentally missing him off. I guess they were trying to keep the focus on me. That’s like one of the worst things you can do to a musician, pretend that history didn’t happen. Bad karma.” Around this time he was also regularly called upon to provide backing for visiting American artists, many of whom were the very legends that had inspired him as a child. These included Hubert Sumlin, Byther Smith, Chuck Berry, and Ike Turner. By the time Todd finally took a break from the road in early 2000 he had won the respect of many of these early heroes. His guitar skills have since been regularly called upon on a session basis by a variety of moremainstream “names” including Van Morrison, George Michael & Robbie Williams. The 90’s had also seen a long-term musical collaboration with British blues diva Dana Gillespie. Todd & Dana had originally become close friends because the ex-Jools Holland sax virtuoso Mike Paice had been moonlighting in both their bands. This friendship led to Todd guesting on 5 Dana Gillespie albums and doing countless performances with her around the world (including the now legendary “Mustique Blues Festival” on the Caribbean island of the same name). By this phase of his life Sharpville had launched what was to become London’s most notorious blues jam session at the “Weavers” club in Islington, which he co-hosted for 8 years with Earl Green (Otis Grand’s old frontman, referred to

by Todd as the “finest blues singer in Britain”). Guest jammers read like a who’s who of the blues world including Larry Garner, the Fats Domino Band, Joe Louis Walker, Jerry Portnoy, Paul Lamb, Eugene Bridges, Larry McCray, Dana Gillespie, and Nine Below Zero (with whom Todd shared the same management for over 5 years). The Weavers jam saw some of the most compelling performances and magical combinations of UK & foreign artists in the most sociable of environments. It also gave birth to a host of new bands & partnerships, many of whom went on to achieve great things. These include Ian Siegal, Matt Schofield and Todd’s then harmonica player Lee Sankey.

Despite a three-year musical gap in his solo career caused by contractual difficulties with his label, Todd legally won back the right to record under his own name and returned with an all-out traditional release. “The Meaning Of Life” (Cathouse/Revolver/Universal CRCD 0057 - 2001) eclectically embodied every old-school tradition bar the Delta. It also featured a host of guest vocalists and players: ex Rolling Stone Mick Taylor, Snowy White, Eugene “Hideaway” Bridges, Paul Lamb, 70’s pop icon Leo Sayer, and Keith Dunne. Outselling every other blues release from Britain that year, “The Meaning Of Life” spearheaded Todd’s re-emergence in Europe. He toured the album heavily with both Mick Taylor & Leo Sayer individually appearing as his special guests on the road to promote it. Additionally, the new album opened the ears of the industry to Todd’s writing skills, both musically & lyrically. This resulted in various writing collaborations that include 4 songs with Mick Lister (Amy Winehouse, The DumDums, Bad Company, S Club 7, etc) & the opening cut of Ana Popovic’s 2003 release “Comfort To The Soul” (Ruf Records) entitled “Don’t Bear Down On Me”. The tour schedule for “The Meaning Of Life” also introduced Sharpville to the USA’s Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise. This annual week-long festival on a 5 star ocean liner in the Caribbean is spearheaded each year by Taj Mahal, and consistently features the crème de la crème of the American blues scene (luminaries such as Etta James, the late Koko Taylor, Dr John, Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi, Bobby Bland & Tommy Castro).

Nowadays the LRBC is commonly referred to by America’s blues media as “the Mecca of the blues.” Having been spotted by one of the LRBC staff on the main stage at the Moulin Blues Festival in the Netherlands in 2002, Todd found himself being invited to be the first European artist in the LRBC’s history to play on their bill. Since then, he has been a regular fixture on the LRBC appearing as a surprise special guest on no less than 6 cruises. The bond between the artists and the 3000 or so fans is a strong one and Todd firmly attests that his “cruiser family” is still one of the most important facets of his existence. 2004 marked a pivotal time in Sharpville’s personal life being the year that his marriage collapsed. He found himself unable to cope with the separation from his 2 children & subsequently suffered a nervous breakdown by the end of the year. This resulted in his hospitalisation for a month with a “reactive depression” diagnosis. This also marked the beginning of a 4 year court battle for increased contact with his children (indeed, the US wing of “Fathers 4 Justice” welcomed Todd’s public support & streamed a pertinent song he wrote for his children, “Just Because” on the home page of their website). It was during this difficult time that Sharpville was invited by his friend Leo Sayer to a residential studio in Denmark to guest on 5 tracks on his “Voice In My Head” album (Edel Records), along with contributing a track to his “Endless Journey” album (Sony Records). Sayer purportedly arranged a meeting with the chief consultant of the psychiatric hospital where Sharpville was staying and convinced the medical staff to release him into his custody in order to guest on his album. The consultant agreed and Sharpville was released a week early & placed on a flight to Denmark in his dressing gown and pyjamas! This form of “music therapy” proved successful and it was whilst he was recording at Lundgaard Studios in Denmark that he met the legendary Californian songwriter, Albert Hammond. They soon became close & Hammond retained Sharpville as his musical director & guitarist. This relationship was cemented by the album “Revolution Of The Heart” (SPV) highlighting Sharpville’s arrangement skills, his electric & acoustic rhythm & lead, and additionally featuring him on bass guitar on every track. Todd toured Europe with Hammond to promote this album (with Hammond’s influence rubbing off on his writing ability). This period spawned an eclectic song-writing spree resulting in Todd’s mainstream singer/songwriter divorce album “Diary Of A Drowning Man”.

This album was produced by Dave Hyatt (Stone Roses/Ian Brown) in Denmark & Steve Power (Robbie Williams) in London. It featured a duet with the legendary british diva Sam Brown. “Diary Of A Drowning Man” soaked up £180,000 worth of studio time and witnessed 3 record labels in a row going bankrupt before it could ever be released. Regardless, one of the album’s main tracks, “Sole Survivor” generated over 87,000 plays on myspace & the album became a firm favourite on the web. The album’s copywrite has since reverted back to Sharpville’s ownership and “DDM” is currently on the shelf unreleased. On the live front, this period saw Todd opening-up on the continent for artists across the musical spectrum, from rock n’ roll legend Bo Diddley (shortly before his death) to pop diva Pink; Joe Cocker to BB King (including the honour of supporting the legendary “King of the blues” on the last night of his European farewell tour at the D’Coque arena in Luxembourg). During this time Sharpville made full use of the arena stages and developed an infamous reputation for highly dramatic, large-scale production performances. These shows eccentrically featured mini comedy movie screenings, cavorting nude women on stage (who’d feed Sharpville grapes whilst he’d recline mid guitar solo on velvet chaise longues), and motorcycles being ridden by Queen Elizabeth II look-alikes who would ride him off stage every night. Regardless, these larger than life party fuelled performances were always augmented by charisma and blistering musicianship. Todd therefore remained continuous in his plight to put the blues back into the crazy world that he felt had enveloped him. In 2007 he signed a management agreement with one of the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise business partners, David L. Jones (Cathouse Music LLC). Jones additionally went on to represent Todd’s friend & mentor Joe Louis Walker, and in 2009 Sharpville was asked by Walker to guest on his Stony Plain Records comeback release “Witness To The Blues”. This resulted in a trip to Rhode Island to Duke Robillard’s studio where the album was being produced by the New England guitar legend. Robillard and Sharpville had bonded 8 years earlier & had managed to reconnect during the recording of Walker’s album. Robillard swiftly became a huge fan of Todd’s shelved “Diary Of A Drowning Man” and proposed that he produce Sharpville’s next blues release. Todd found himself in the midst of another writing spree which resulted in the recording of his double album “Porchlight”. The process was sadly interrupted by the un-expected death of Sharpville’s father which inevitably changed the ethos of the album. Work swiftly resumed with Robillard holding court behind the mixing desk (though the “Duke” did find time to guest on the humorous track “Lousy Husband But A Real Good Dad”). The musicians on “Porchlight” comprised the majority of Robillard’s touring band (including long time Roomful Of Blues stalwart, Doug “Mr. Low” James on baritone sax).

In addition, Todd asked Kim Wilson (of the Fabulous Thunderbirds) to play harmonica on 4 tracks, and guitar duelled with Joe Louis Walker on “When The Blues Come Calling”.The album comprises 15 songs; 14 Sharpville originals & 1 cover: “If That Ain’t Love What Is” (an irreverent Shel Silverstein song, originally written for country artist Bobby Bare). Musically, it marks a journey that spans a plethora of blues styles & eras, all intertwined by the common thread of Todd’s passion for the idiom and his need to get his emotions off his chest. Having successfully beaten off a few of life’s unwelcome interruptions along his journey, “Porchlight” heralds Todd Sharpville’s return to the international blues arena. Older, wiser, and sporting a more empathetic view of the world that surrounds him & his place within it, Sharpville continues to place British blues back onto the revered plinth where it so aptly belongs.

www.macarnold.com Mac Arnold must have known at an early age that his music career would read like a “Who’s who” of Blues/R&B Legends. His high school band “J Floyd & The Shamrocks” were often joined by none other than Macon, Georgia native, James Brown on piano. After deciding to pursue a professional music career, he joined the Charles Miller group until 1965 when he made the move to Chicago to work with recording artist/saxophonist A. C. Reed.

In late 1966, at age 24, came the opportunity of a lifetime to join the Muddy Waters Band and help shape the electric blues sound that inspired the rock and roll movement of the late 60’s and early 70’s. Regular guests of the band included Eric Clapton, Paul Butterfield, Mike Bloomfield, and Elvin Bishop. The Muddy Waters Band (as a unit) shared the stage with the likes of Howlin’ Wolfe, Elmore James, Jimmy Reed, Junior Wells, Big Joe Williams, and Big Mama Thornton just to name a few. During this time, Mac played on John Lee Hooker’s “live “album, Live at the Café Au Go-Go, as well as Otis Spann’s classic recording “The Blues is Where It’s At”.

After more than a year with Muddy Waters, Mac formed the Soul Invaders which backed up many artists, including The Temptations and B. B. King. In the early 70’s, he moved Los Angeles to work at ABC Television and LAFF RECORDS (Redd Foxx). This led to working on the set of Soul Train from 1971 to 1975 and then working with Bill Withers (“Lean On Me”) before moving back to South Carolina in the 80”s.

Mac now resides in Pelzer, SC, where at the age of ten he got his first taste of the blues when he learned to play his brother Leroy’s home-made guitar. Going back to his roots. Mac is serving up a mess of Blues with his own band, “Mac Arnold & Plate Full O’ Blues”. The band consists of Danny Keylon on bass and vocals, Austin Brashier on guitar and vocals, Max Hightower on keyboards, harmonica, guitar, and vocals, Mike Whitt on drums, and Mac Arnold on vocals, bass and Gas Can Guitars.

Mac & Muddy Waters In 1965, having already established himself back home as a bass player, playing with J Floyd & the Shamrocks including James Brown on keyboard , Mac Arnold decided to take a trip to Chicago to check out the Blues scene. He was obviously impressed because 3 months later 24 year old Mac packed up and moved to the Windy City to expand his music career.

There was a club called the Green Bunny Club on 77 & Halstead St. where Mac first met his sax man A. C. Reed who at the time needed a bass player. Mac was the right man for the job. He played with A. C. for only a short time when he got a chance to play with Muddy Waters. He was asked to come out to Big John’s Grill on the North side to sit in with the band. Muddy asked him where he was from, he replied Greenville, South Carolina. Muddy said, “son, if you’re from the South, then you can play,” and so he did for over a year. The band would play most of the show and Muddy would play the end of the set. On occasions he would play every other set. This gave the guys a chance to show their stuff. Mac had an edge because he’d been working with James Brown in the past. A lot of people had yet to of heard of James Brown, so when Mac would play that funky stuff, it got a lot of people’s attention. Mac is a left handed bass player, and if you listen to some of his early recordings, you will hear he was way ahead of his time.

The band would tour from the East to West Coast and all points in between. Cruisin’ in a 1965 Fleetwood Cadillac, all 7 band members and the driver (Bo) at the wheel. Bo could drive almost non-stop from St. Louis to San Francisco with no sleep. One time they were passing through Mississippi, they stopped in to see some of Muddy’s relatives and wound up doing a show. Mac stayed at Muddy’s cousin’s house, and when L. A. he would stay with George Smith and his family of 6 kids. While touring the West Coast, Mac fell in love with the California weather. When he returned to Chicago he told his wife “we’re moving.”

Mac talked to Muddy and told him he would give him time to find another bass player. Muddy wished him luck and said “he would have him back any time,” and that was it. Mac is one of the last surviving members of the Muddy Water’s era, and so Mac Arnold & Plate Full O’ Blues begins.

A Canadian blues musician who got his start playing the harmonica at the age of 12, Paul Reddick would eventually form the band the Sidemen in 1990 and become a mainstay of the Canadian blues scene. With the Sidemen, Reddick released a handful — three — of full-length albums, and toured for the majority of the decade. The critically acclaimed album Rattlebag was released in 2001, and from that year Reddick's career took a decidedly plaudit- and award-filled turn. In 2002 the band won a three Maple Blues Awards, and spent the next two years bringing its sound to a wider audience in the United States. In 2004, Reddick and collaborator Colin Linden released the acclaimed Villanelle. Reddick was back in the spotlight in 2008, as he was nominated in the blues category in that year's Juno Awards.

NO! N O!: ‘’Save your face….’’ In an interview the Cyborgs said: "we come from the future, in the present, to keep the past alive.." Their name are "Zero" and "One" Cyborg-0 sings and plays guitar with his never stopping chunky chunk thumb of his right hand Cyborg-1 plays keyboard bass with his left hand, and drums with the other parts of his freaky body In summer 2011 opened the concert of Jeff Beck and in february 2011 Johnny Winter n° 0 Guita and voice n°1 synth, piano, drums and more
