ԿՈՐՆԹԱՑԻՆԵՐՈՒՆ ՈՒՂՂՈՒԱԾ ԵՐԿՐՈՐԴ ՆԱՄԱԿԷՆ 10.18-11.10 Որովհետեւ գնահատելի է ո՛չ թէ ա՛ն՝ որ ինքզինք կը յանձնարարէ, հապա ա՛ն՝ որ Տէ՛րը կը յանձնարարէ: Երանի՜ թէ կարենայիք քիչ մը հանդուրժել իմ անմտութեանս. եւ իսկապէս՝ հանդուրժեցէ՛ք ինծի: Որովհետեւ նախանձախնդիր եմ ձեզի հանդէպ՝ Աստուծոյ նախանձախնդրութեամբ. քանի որ մէ՛կ ամուսինի նշանեցի ձեզ, որպէսզի Քրիստոսի՛ ներկայացնեմ ձեզ՝ մաքրակենցաղ կոյսի մը պէս: Բայց կը վախնամ որ, ինչպէս օձը խաբեց Եւան իր խորամանկութեամբ, նոյնպէս ձեր միտքերը ապականին Քրիստոսի հանդէպ եղած պարզամտութենէն: Որովհետեւ եթէ մէկը գար եւ քարոզէր ուրի՛շ Յիսուս մը՝ որ մենք չենք քարոզած, կամ ստանայիք ուրիշ հոգի մը՝ որ չէք ստացած, կամ ուրիշ աւետարան՝ որ չէք ընդունած, լաւ կը հանդուրժէիք այդպիսիին: Քանի որ ես կը սեպեմ թէ ոչինչո՛վ ետ մնացած եմ գերագոյն առաքեալներէն. ու թէպէտ անվարժ եմ խօսքի մէջ, բայց ո՛չ՝ գիտութեամբ. սակայն ամէն բանի մէջ մենք մեզ ամբողջովին բացայայտեցինք ձեզի:Միթէ սխա՞լ գործած եղայ ես զիս խոնարհեցնելով՝ որպէսզի դո՛ւք բարձրանաք, քանի որ ձրի քարոզեցի ձեզի Աստուծոյ աւետարանը. կողոպտեցի ուրիշ եկեղեցիներ՝ թոշակ առնելով անոնցմէ, որպէսզի սպասարկեմ ձեզի: Ձեր մէջ ներկայ եղած ատենս՝ երբ կարօտութեան մէջ էի, ձեզմէ ո՛չ մէկուն բեռ եղայ. որովհետեւ Մակեդոնիայէն եկող եղբայրնե՛րը լրացուցին ինչ որ կը պակսէր ինծի. եւ ամէն կերպով զգուշացայ ձեզի ծանրութիւն ըլլալէ, ու դարձեալ պիտի զգուշանամ: Քանի որ Քրիստոսի ճշմարտութիւնը իմ մէջս է, ո՛չ մէկը պիտի արգիլէ զիս այս պարծանքէն՝ Աքայիայի շրջանները: 3

ԱՒԵՏԱՐԱՆ ԸՍՏ ՄԱՐԿՈՍԻ 10.1-12 Կանգնելով՝ անկէ գնաց Հրէաստանի հողամասը, Յորդանանի միւս եզերքէն: Դարձեալ բազմութիւնները անոր շուրջ կը համախմբուէին, եւ ինչպէս սովորութիւն ունէր՝ դարձեալ կը սորվեցնէր անոնց: Փարիսեցիները եկան անոր քով ու հարցուցին՝ փորձելու համար զայն. «Արտօնուա՞ծ է մարդու մը՝ որ արձակէ իր կինը»: Ան ալ պատասխանեց անոնց. «Մովսէս ի՞նչ պատուիրեց ձեզի»: Անոնք ըսին. «Մովսէս արտօնեց ամուսնալուծումի վկայագիր մը գրել եւ արձակել»: Յիսուս պատասխանեց անոնց. «Ձեր սիրտին կարծրութեա՛ն համար գրեց ձեզի այդ պատուէրը. բայց արարչութեան սկիզբէն՝ Աստուած զանոնք արու եւ էգ ստեղծեց: “Այս պատճառով մարդը պիտի թողու հայրն ու մայրը, եւ պիտի յարի իր կնոջ, ու երկուքը պիտի ըլլան մէ՛կ մարմին”: Ուստի ա՛լ երկու չեն, հապա՝ մէկ մարմին. ուրեմն մարդը թող չզատէ ինչ որ Աստուած իրարու միացուցած է»: Տունը՝ իր աշակերտները դարձեալ նոյն բանը հարցուցին իրեն: Ըսաւ անոնց. «Ո՛վ որ արձակէ իր կինը եւ ամուսնանայ ուրիշի մը հետ՝ շնութիւն կ՚ընէ անոր դէմ: Ու եթէ կին մը արձակէ իր ամուսինը եւ ամուսնանայ ուրիշի մը հետ՝ շնութիւն կ՚ընէ»: 2 CORINTHIANS 10:18-11:10 For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.

I hope you will put up with me in a little foolishness. Yes, please put up with me! I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him. But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you 4

received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.

I do not think I am in the least inferior to those “superapostles.” I may indeed be untrained as a speaker, but I do have knowledge. We have made this perfectly clear to you in every way.

Was it a sin for me to lower myself in order to elevate you by preaching the gospel of God to you free of charge? I robbed other churches by receiving support from them so as to serve you. And when I was with you and needed something, I was not a burden to anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied what I needed. I have kept myself from being a burden to you in any way, and will continue to do so. As surely as the truth of Christ is in me, nobody in the regions of Achaia will stop this boasting of mine.

MARK 10:1-12 Jesus then left that place and went into the region of Judea and across the Jordan. Again crowds of people came to him, and as was his custom, he taught them. Some Pharisees came and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”

“What did Moses command you?” he replied.

They said, “Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce and send her away.”

“It was because your hearts were hard that Moses wrote you this law,” Jesus replied. 6“But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ a 7‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, b 8and the two will become one flesh.’ c So they are no longer two, but one flesh.

9Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

When they were in the house again, the disciples asked Jesus about this. 11He answered, “Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her. And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery.”

ԱՅՍ ԿԻՐԱԿԻ - THIS SUNDAY ԲԱՐԵԿԵՆԴԱՆ ՎԱՐԱԳԱՅ ՍՈՒՐԲ ԽԱՉԻՆ Այս Կիրակի Սեպտեմբեր 20-ին Բարեկենդան է Վարագայ Ս. Խաչի տօնին: Հայ եկեղեցին տարուայ մէջ, Ս. Խաչի նուիրուած չորս տօներ կը նշէ, որոնք են՝ Ս. Խաչի Երեւման Տօն, Ս. Խաչի Վերացման Տօն, Վարագայ Ս. Խաչի Տօն եւ Ս. Խաչի Գիւտի Տօն: Ս.Վարագայ Խաչի տօնը յատուկ է միայն Հայաստանեայց եկեղեցւոյ եւ նուիրուած է Վարագայ լերան վրայ Սուրբ խաչափայտի մասունքին գտնուելուն: Խաչափայտի մասունքը Հայաստան աշխարհ բերած է Ս. Հռիփսիմէ կոյսը եւ Վարագայ լերան մօտէն անցած ատեն հոն ամփոփած է: Այդ մասունքը հրաշափառ տեսիլքով կը գտնուի 7-րդ դարուն եւ այդ իրողութիւնը կը դառնայ Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցւոյ խաչին նուիրուած 4 տօներէն մին՝ Տօն Վարագայ Ս. Խաչի անունով:

EVE OF THE FAST OF THE HOLY CROSS OF VARAK This Sunday, September 22 is the Eve of the Feast of the Holy Cross of Varak. In the Armenian Church Calendar there are four feasts dedicated to the Khach: The Apparation of Holy Cross, the Exaltation of Holy Cross, the feast of Holy Cross of Varak and the feast of Discovery of Holy Cross.

The feast of Holy Cross of Varak is celebrated only by Armenian Apostolic church and is dedicated to finding the relic of Holy Cross on the Mount of Varak. The relic of the Holy Cross was brought to armenian

by St. Hripsime and was hidden in the Mount Varak. The relic was found in the 7th century by a miraculous vision and the Armenian Apostolic Church dedicated a feast to commemorate this extraordinary event.

ՀԱՆՐԱՊԵՏԱԿԱՆ ՄԱՂԹԱՆՔ A BLESSING OF THE REPUBLIC PRAYER ՀԱՆՐԱՊԵՏԱԿԱՆ ՄԱՂԹԱՆՔ Ամէն տարի Մայիսի 28-ին եւ Սեպտեմբերի 21-ին՝ Հայաստանի առաջին եւ երկրորդ Հանրապետութիւններու Անկախութեան տօնին կը հնչէ «վասն Հանրապետութեան Հայաստան աշխարհի» մաղթանքը։ Առաջին անգամ սոյն մաղթանքը հնչեց՝ 1919 թ. Մայիս 28-ին, Ամենայն Հայոց Գէորգ Ե. Սուրենեանց Կաթողիկոսի հրահանգով։ Հայ Եկեղեցին նորաստեղծ հանրապետութեան առաջին տարեդարձը նշած է մեծ հանդիսաւորութեամբ։ «Հանրապետական մաղթանք» եկեղեցական կարգի ընթացքին հնչող շարականի հեղինակը Եպիսկոպոս Գէորգ Չորէքչեանն էր, որ յետագային դարձաւ Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոս Գէորգ Զ Չորէքչեան։ Խորհրդային շրջանին Հայաստանի մէջ մոռացութեան տրուեցաւ Մայիս 28-ը եւ անոր հետ նաեւ «Հանրապետական մաղթանք»ի կարգը։ 1989 թ. Մայիս 26-ին ՀԽՍՀ Գերագոյն Խորհուրդի նախագահութեան հրամանագրով 1918 թ. Մայիս 28-ը ճանչուեցաւ Հայաստանի պետականութեան վերականգնման օր։ Նոյն թուականի Յունիս 14-ին, Վազգէն Ա Կաթողիկոսը իր հայրապետական կոնդակով Հայաստանի եւ Սփիւռքի բոլոր եկեղեցիներուն թելադրեց գոհաբանական մաղթանքներ կատարել Մայիս 28-ին՝ Սարդարապատի հերոսներու եւ Հայոց պետականութեան հաստատման համար իրենց կեանքը զոհաբերած հայորդիներու յիշատակին։ 1991 թ. վերանկախացած Հայաստանի մէջ «Հանրապետական մաղթանք»-ը վերստացաւ իր նախկին խորհուրդը, եւ այսօր այն կը կատարուի նաեւ Հայաստանի երկրորդ Հանրապետութեան անկախութեան տօնին` Սեպտեմբեր 21-ին։ Այդ օրերուն, հայկական բոլոր եկեղեցիներէն ներս յաւարտ Ս. Պատարագի կը կատարուի Կարգ Հոգեհանգստեան՝ ի յիշատակ հայրենիքի ազատագրութեան համար զոհուած զինուորներու եւ հայորդիներու, ապա եւ «Մաղթանք վասն տարեդարձի անկախութեան Հայաստանի»։

A BLESSING OF THE REPUBLIC PRAYER Every year on May 28 and September 21, in commemoration of the Independence of first and second Republics of Armenia, the Armenian churches conduct a special Blessing of the Republic Prayer service for the safety and prosperity of Republic of Armenia. For the first time this service took place on May 28, 1919. It was dedicated to the 1year anniversary of independence of the first Republic of Armenia and was ordered by the Catholicos of that time His Holiness Kevork V Surenyants. The ecclesiastical hymn sung during this ceremony was written by Bishop Kevork Chorekchyan, who later became the Catholicos of All Armenians Kevork VI Chorekchyan. This service was forgotten during the soviet regime in Armenia.

On May 26, 1989, the government of Soviet Republic of Armenia passed a motion re-establishing May 28, 1918 as the Independence Day of the first Armenian Republic. On June 14 of that same year, by the Pontifical Encyclical of Catholicos Vazgen I all churches in Armenia and Diaspora were ordered to hold a Blessing of the Republic Prayer service on May 28 in honour of the heroes of Sardarapat and for all who gave their lives for independence of our homeland Armenia.

On September 21, 1991, the second Armenian Republic declared its independence from Soviet Union. The Armenian churches started to celebrate this beautiful Prayer Service not only on May 28, but also on September 21. During the Blessing of the Republic Prayer service, after the Divine Liturgy a Requiem Service is held in memory of fallen soldiers and heroes, which is followed by the Special Blessing of the Republic Prayer for the peace and prosperity of our Motherland.

ԳԻՏԷԻ՞Ր ԹԷ Նորանկախ Հայաստանի Հանրապետութեան առաջին անձնագիրը տրուած է Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Վազգէն Ա Ծայրագոյն Պատրիարք Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսին ՀՀ առաջին նախագահին կողմէ: Վազգէն Ա. Հայրապետը ողջունեց եւ օրհնեց Հայաստանի անկախութեան հռչակագրի ընդունուիլը, ինչպէս նաեւ օրհնեց նորանկախ Հանրապետութիւնը:

DID YOU KNOW? The first passport of newly independent Republic of Armenia was issued to His Holiness Vazgen I, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians. The passport was presented to the Pontiff by the first President of Republic of Armenia. Vazgen I also welcomed and blessed the adoption of Declaration of Independence of Armenia. His Holiness also blessed the newly independent Republic of Armenia.

OUR CHURCH HAS REOPENED Dear faithful, It is with a heart full of spiritual happiness we announce that based on the decision of Mr. Doug Ford, Ontario Premier, and the blessings of H.E. Bishop Abgar Hovakimian, Primate of the Armenian Church of Canada, Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church reopened its doors to the faithful on Sunday, June 14, 2020.

The church will be open for prayers and visits every: Sunday for Divine Liturgy, from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. Live streaming will be available on the church Facebook page.

Wednesday, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm, prayers for the recovery of those who are ill. Live streaming will be available on the church Facebook page.

Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 3:00 pm, during the church office hours, for private prayers and lighting of candles.

In order to register names for baptisms, weddings, funeral services, as well as requiem and prayers for health or to visit the church office, you are kindly advised to contact the office beforehand: Tel.: 416-431-3001 ext. 226

ATTENTION We would like to draw your attention to the following important points: According to the decision made by the Provincial authorities, we will be able to admit only a limited number of faithful, in order to be able to apply all security measures: keeping 6 feet apart. Families living in the same household will be allowed to sit together; however, each person will be counted separately in the headcount. No handshakes and hugs, please.

All those who visit the church must wear a face mask. Please bring your own to help ensure supplies last.

A designated person will record the names of the visitors and escort them to their assigned seat.

The collection tray will not be passed but rather placed in the Church lobby, where people can make their offering on their way out.

All those in high risk groups are strongly urged to stay home.

ՈՒՇԱԴՐՈՒԹԻՒՆ Ձեր ուշադրութիւնը կ'ուզենք հրաւիրել հետեւեալ կարեւոր կէտերուն. Նահանգային կառավարութեան առած որոշումին համաձայն, առայժմ մենք արարողութիւններուն պիտի կարենանք սահմանափակ թիւով հաւատացեալներ ընդունիլ, ապահովութեան բոլոր միջոցները կիրառելու համար, 6 ոտք հեռաւորութիւն պահելով։ Ընտանիքներ, որոնք նոյն յարկին տակ կը բնակին, կրնան միասին նստիլ, բայց իւրաքանչիւր անձ իբրեւ առանձին թիւ պիտի նկատուի հաշիւին մէջ։ Ձեռնուիլ եւ փաթթուիլ պէտք չէ ըլլայ։ Բոլոր անոնք որոնք եկեղեցի կ'այցելեն, պարտին դիմակ կրել։ Հաճեցէք միշտ ձեր անձնական դիմակները հայթայթել։ Նշանակուած անձ մը ձեր անունները պիտի արձանագրէ եւ ձեր տեղերը առաջնորդէ։ Պատարագի դրամահաւաքի պնակը չպիտի դարձուի, այլ պիտի դրուի եկեղեցւոյ նախասրահի մէջ, ուր ելլած ատէն պիտի կարենաք ձեր նուէրները դնել։ ԶԳՈՒՇԱՑՈՒՄ Բոլոր այն անձերը որոնք հիւանդանալու բարձր կարելիութիւն ունին նախընտրելի է որ տունը մնան։ Եկեղեցի չէք կրնար մտնել եթէ հետեւեալ կէտերէն որեւէ մէկը կը կիրարկուի.

1. ձեր անմիջական շրջանակին կամ ընտանիքին մէջ ոեւէ մէկը վարակուած է Գովիտ-19-ով եւ կամ ունին հետեւեալ ախտանշանները՝ 2. ջերմութիւն, 3. հազ, 4. կոկորդի ցաւ, 5. հոտառութեան կամ համի զգալի պակաս, 6. Օնթարիօ նահանգէն դուրս ճամբորդած էք։

ԳՆԱՀԱՏԱՆՔ Շնորհակալութիւն կը յայտնենք Բարեշնորհ սարկաւագներուն եւ դպիրներուն, այս ընթացքին արարողութիւններուն իրենց սիրայօժար մասնակցութեան համար, ինչպէս նաեւ ձեզի, սիրելի հաւատացեալներ, այս դժուարին օրերուն ձեր համբերութեան, աղօթքներուն եւ եկեղեցւոյս առաքելութեան ի նպաստ ձեր կատարած սրտաբուխ նուիրատուութիւններուն համար: Շարունակենք մեր աղօթքներուն մէջ յիշել համավարակի պատճառաւ անցեալին եւ այսօր տառապանքի ենթարկուածները եւ բոլոր անոնք, որոնք իրենց անձնուրաց ծառայութիւնը կը շարունակեն բերել այս դժուարին շրջանին: Յառաջիկայ փոփոխութիւններու պարագային գրաւոր կերպով ձեզ տեղեակ կը պահենք։
