ԳԱՂԱՏԱՑԻՆԵՐՈՒՆ ԳՐՈՒԱԾ ՆԱՄԱԿԷՆ 4.3-18 Նոյնպէս ալ մենք, երբ մանուկ էինք, աշխարհի սկզբունքներուն տակ ստրուկ էինք: Բայց երբ ժամանակը լրումին հասաւ, Աստուած ղրկեց իր Որդին՝ որ կնոջմէ ծնաւ եւ Օրէնքին տակ մտաւ, որպէսզի փրկանքով գնէ Օրէնքին տակ եղողները. որպէսզի մենք որդեգրութի՛ւնը ստանանք: Եւ քանի որ դուք որդիներ էք, Աստուած ձեր սիրտերուն մէջ ղրկեց իր Որդիին Հոգին, որ կ՚աղաղակէ. «Աբբա՛, Հա՛յր»: Հետեւաբար ա՛լ ստրուկ չես, հապա՝ որդի. ու եթէ որդի, ուրեմն՝ Աստուծոյ ժառանգորդը Քրիստոսի միջոցով: Ուրեմն այն ատեն երբ չէիք ճանչնար Աստուած, կը ծառայէիք անոնց՝ որ բնութեամբ աստուածներ չէին: Սակայն հիմա որ ճանչցաք Աստուած, կամ մա՛նաւանդ՝ ճանչցուեցաք Աստուծմէ, ի՞նչպէս կը վերադառնաք այն տկար եւ աղքատ սկզբունքներուն, որոնց դարձեալ կ՚ուզէք ստրուկ ըլլալ: Կը պահէք օրերը, ամիսները, ժամանակներն ու տարիները. կը վախնամ ձեզի համար, որ գուցէ զուր տեղը աշխատած ըլլամ ձեր վրայ: Եղբայրնե՛ր, կ՚աղերսե՛մ ձեզի, ինծի՛ պէս եղէք, որովհետեւ ես ալ ձեզի պէս եղայ. դուք բնա՛ւ վնասած չէք ինծի: Դուք գիտէք թէ ի՛նչպէս՝ մարմինիս տկարութեամբ՝ աւետարանեցի ձեզի առաջին անգամ. բայց մարմինիս վրայ կրած փորձութիւնըս չանարգեցիք, ո՛չ ալ պժգացիք. հապա Աստուծոյ հրեշտակի մը պէս ընդունեցիք զիս, Քրիստոս Յիսուսի պէս: Ուստի ո՞ւր է՝՝ ձեր այդ ատենուան երանութիւնը. քանի որ ես կը վկայեմ ձեզի թէ եթէ կարելի ըլլար՝ ձեր աչքե՛րը պիտի խլէիք եւ զանոնք ինծի տայիք: Միթէ ձեր թշնամի՞ն եղայ՝ ձեզի ճշմարտութիւնը խօսելով: Անոնք նախանձախնդիր են ձեզի հանդէպ, բայց ո՛չ բարի նպատակով. նոյնիսկ կ՚ուզեն մեզ վտարել, որպէսզի նախանձախնդիր ըլլաք իրե՛նց հանդէպ: Սակայն լաւ է նախանձախնդիր ըլլալ բարիին հանդէպ՝ ամէ՛ն ատեն, եւ ո՛չ թէ միայն երբ ձեր մէջ ներկայ եմ: Որդեակնե՛րս, ձեզի համար դարձեալ երկունքի ցաւ կը քաշեմ, մինչեւ որ Քրիստոս ձեր մէջ կերպաւորուի: Կ՚ուզէի հիմա ձեր մէջ ներկայ ըլլալ ու շեշտս փոխել, որովհետեւ ձեր մասին վարանումի մէջ եմ: 3

ՂՈՒԿԱՍԻ ԱՒԵՏԱՐԱՆԷՆ 4.14-23 Յիսուս Հոգիին զօրութեամբ վերադարձաւ Գալիլեա, եւ անոր համբաւը տարածուեցաւ այդ գաւառին ամբողջ շրջակայքը: Ինք կը սորվեցնէր անոնց ժողովարաններուն մէջ, ու կը փառաւորուէր բոլորէն: Երբ եկաւ Նազարէթ, ուր ինք մեծցած էր, իր սովորութեան համաձայն Շաբաթ օրը մտաւ ժողովարանը, ու կանգնեցաւ որ կարդայ: Տուին անոր Եսայի մարգարէին գիրքը: Երբ բացաւ գիրքը, գտաւ այն տեղը՝ ուր գրուած էր. «Տէրոջ Հոգին իմ վրաս է. որովհետեւ օծեց զիս աղքատներուն աւետարանելու, ղրկեց զիս կոտրած սիրտ ունեցողները բժշկելու, գերիներուն՝ ազատ արձակում եւ կոյրերուն տեսողութիւն յայտարարելու, հարստահարութիւն կրողները ազատ արձակելու, Տէրոջ բարեհաճութեան տարին յայտարարելու»: Յետոյ գոցեց գիրքը, տուաւ սպասաւորին, ու նստաւ: Բոլոր ժողովարանը եղողները իրենց աչքերը սեւեռած էին անոր վրայ: Ուստի սկսաւ ըսել անոնց. «Այսօր այս գրուածը իրագործուեցաւ, ու ձեր ականջները լսեցին»: Բոլորը կը վկայէին անոր մասին, կը զարմանային անոր բերանէն ելած շընորհալի խօսքերուն վրայ, եւ կ՚ըսէին. «Ասիկա Յովսէփի որդին չէ՞»: Ինք ալ ըսաւ անոնց. «Իրաւ դուք ինծի պիտի ըսէք սա՛ առածը. “Բըժի՛շկ, դուն քե՛զ բուժէ: Ո՜րչափ բաներ լսեցինք՝ որ Կափառնայումի մէջ կատարուեցան. հո՛ս ալ ըրէ՝ քո՛ւ բնագաւառիդ մէջ”»:

GALATIANS 4.3-18 So also, when we were underage, we were in slavery under the elemental spiritual forces of the world. But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, c Father.” So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.

Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by nature are not gods. But now that you know God—or rather are known by God—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable forces? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again? You 4

are observing special days and months and seasons and years! I fear for you, that somehow I have wasted my efforts on you.

I plead with you, brothers and sisters, become like me, for I became like you. You did me no wrong. As you know, it was because of an illness that I first preached the gospel to you, and even though my illness was a trial to you, you did not treat me with contempt or scorn. Instead, you welcomed me as if I were an angel of God, as if I were Christ Jesus himself.

Where, then, is your blessing of me now? I can testify that, if you could have done so, you would have torn out your eyes and given them to me.

Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?

Those people are zealous to win you over, but for no good. What they want is to alienate you from us, so that you may have zeal for them. It is fine to be zealous, provided the purpose is good, and to be so always, not just when I am with you.

LUKE 4.14-23 Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside. He was teaching in their synagogues, and everyone praised him.

He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read, and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written: “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him. He began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips. “Isn’t this Joseph’s son?” they asked. Jesus said to them, “Surely you will quote this proverb to me: ‘Physician, heal yourself!’ And you will tell me, ‘Do here in your hometown what we have heard that you did in Capernaum.”

UNITED ARMENIAN COUNCIL OF ONTARIO (UACO) PRESS RELEASE Toronto, Ontario.

A coalition of 20+ Armenian churches, organizations, associations, political parties, and independent community leaders announce the formation of the United Armenian Council of Ontario (UACO), established on Sunday, October 11, 2020. UACO builds upon crosscommunity collaboration that has taken shape across the province over the past several years, especially since the centennial commemoration of the Armenian Genocide.

Now, at a time when our Armenian nation faces its biggest existential threat since the Genocide, Armenians around the world have come together to stand up for the survival of our people and our two Republics – Armenia and Artsakh. It is with this spirit that we announce the formation of UACO. On September 27, after Azerbaijan launched the war against Artsakh, the Armenian community of Ontario immediately mobilized across all fronts: securing humanitarian aid, fundraising, and raising awareness on social, political, and academic stages. UACO will enable the coordination of all activities in Ontario related to the war in Artsakh – coming together as one to ensure the survival of our people through peaceful means.

Broadly, the UACO’s mission will be to: • implement and realize projects of a pan-community nature, • encourage and assist projects which advance the collective interests and the rights of Armenian communities across Ontario, and • gather and apply the Armenian community’s resources for the benefit of the community’s interests as well as the welfare of the Republics of Armenia and Artsakh.

As we all know, unity is strength. The more we speak in one voice, the more powerful we become as a global nation. Together, we will ensure that what is just - human rights and the rights of the people of Artsakh will prevail. Together, we will be victorious.

OUR CHURCH HAS REOPENED Dear faithful, It is with a heart full of spiritual happiness we announce that based on the decision of Mr. Doug Ford, Ontario Premier, and the blessings of H.E. Bishop Abgar Hovakimian, Primate of the Armenian Church of Canada, Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church reopened its doors to the faithful on Sunday, June 14, 2020.

The church will be open for prayers and visits every: Sunday for Divine Liturgy, from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. Live streaming will be available on the church Facebook page.

Wednesday, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm, prayers for the recovery of those who are ill. Live streaming will be available on the church Facebook page.

Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 3:00 pm, during the church office hours, for private prayers and lighting of candles.

In order to register names for baptisms, weddings, funeral services, as well as requiem and prayers for health or to visit the church office, you are kindly advised to contact the office beforehand: Tel.: 416-431-3001 ext. 226

ATTENTION We would like to draw your attention to the following important points: According to the decision made by the Provincial authorities, we will be able to admit only a limited number of faithful, in order to be able to apply all security measures: keeping 6 feet apart. Families living in the same household will be allowed to sit together; however, each person will be counted separately in the headcount. No handshakes and hugs, please.

All those who visit the church must wear a face mask. Please bring your own to help ensure supplies last.

A designated person will record the names of the visitors and escort them to their assigned seat.

The collection tray will not be passed but rather placed in the Church lobby, where people can make their offering on their way out.

All those in high risk groups are strongly urged to stay home.

You cannot enter the Church if any of the following applies to you: 1. a family member or anybody in your immediate surrounding has any of the symptoms listed below or has tested positive for Covid-19; 2. have fever; 3. have a cough; 4. have a sore throat; 5. have loss of taste or smell; 6. traveled outside the province of Ontario APPRECIATION We extend our thanks to the deacons and the members of the church choir, who voluntarily participated in the ceremonies during these difficult times and to you, dear faithful, for your patience, prayers and your donations to support the mission of our Church.

Նահանգային կառավարութեան առած որոշումին համաձայն, առայժմ մենք արարողութիւններուն պիտի կարենանք սահմանափակ թիւով հաւատացեալներ ընդունիլ, ապահովութեան բոլոր միջոցները կիրառելու համար, 6 ոտք հեռաւորութիւն պահելով։ Ընտանիքներ, որոնք նոյն յարկին տակ կը բնակին, կրնան միասին նստիլ, բայց իւրաքանչիւր անձ իբրեւ առանձին թիւ պիտի նկատուի հաշիւին մէջ։ Ձեռնուիլ եւ փաթթուիլ պէտք չէ ըլլայ։ Բոլոր անոնք որոնք եկեղեցի կ'այցելեն, պարտին դիմակ կրել։ Հաճեցէք միշտ ձեր անձնական դիմակները հայթայթել։ Նշանակուած անձ մը ձեր անունները պիտի արձանագրէ եւ ձեր տեղերը առաջնորդէ։ Պատարագի դրամահաւաքի պնակը չպիտի դարձուի, այլ պիտի դրուի եկեղեցւոյ նախասրահի մէջ, ուր ելլած ատէն պիտի կարենաք ձեր նուէրները դնել։ ԶԳՈՒՇԱՑՈՒՄ Բոլոր այն անձերը որոնք հիւանդանալու բարձր կարելիութիւն ունին նախընտրելի է որ տունը մնան։ Եկեղեցի չէք կրնար մտնել եթէ հետեւեալ կէտերէն որեւէ մէկը կը կիրարկուի.

1. ձեր անմիջական շրջանակին կամ ընտանիքին մէջ ոեւէ մէկը վարակուած է Գովիտ-19-ով եւ կամ ունին հետեւեալ ախտանշանները՝ 2. ջերմութիւն, 3. հազ, 4. կոկորդի ցաւ, 5. հոտառութեան կամ համի զգալի պակաս, 6. Օնթարիօ նահանգէն դուրս ճամբորդած էք։
