ՊՕՂՈՍ ԱՌԱՔ. ԿՈՐՆԹԱՅԵՑԻՆԵՐՈՒՆ ԳՐԱԾ 1-ԻՆ ՆԱՄԱԿԷՆ 6.18-7.11 Նոյնիսկ դո՛ւք կ՚անիրաւէք ու կը զրկէք, այն ալ՝ եղբայրներո՛ւն. չէ՞ք գիտեր թէ անիրաւները պիտի չժառանգեն Աստուծոյ թագաւորութիւնը: Մի՛ մոլորիք. ո՛չ պոռնկողները, ո՛չ կռապաշտները, ո՛չ շնացողները, ո՛չ իգացեալները, ո՛չ արուագէտները, ո՛չ գողերը, ո՛չ ագահները, ո՛չ արբեցողները, ո՛չ հեգնողները, ո՛չ ալ յափշտակողները պիտի ժառանգեն Աստուծոյ թագաւորութիւնը: Եւ ձեզմէ ոմանք այդպիսիներ էին. բայց լուացուեցաք, բայց սրբացաք, բայց արդարացաք Տէր Յիսուսի անունով ու մեր Աստուծոյն Հոգիով: Ամէն բան ինծի արտօնուած է, բայց ամէն բան օգտակար չէ: Ամէն բան ինծի արտօնուած է, բայց ես ո՛չ մէկուն իշխանութեան տակ պիտի ըլլամ: Կերակուրները փորին համար են, փորն ալ՝ կերակուրներուն. բայց Աստուած ասիկա՛ ալ, անո՛նք ալ պիտի ոչնչացնէ: Իսկ մարմինը պոռնկութեան համար չէ, հապա՝ Տէրոջ, ու Տէրը՝ մարմինին համար: Եւ Աստուած՝ որ յարուցանեց Տէրը, պիտի յարուցանէ նաեւ մե՛զ՝ իր զօրութեամբ: Չէ՞ք գիտեր թէ ձեր մարմինները Քրիստոսի անդամներն են: Ուրեմն Քրիստոսի անդամները առնելով պոռնիկի անդամնե՞ր ընեմ: Ամե՛նեւին: Չէ՞ք գիտեր թէ ա՛ն որ պոռնիկի կը միանայ, անոր հետ մէկ մարմին կ՚ըլլայ. քանի որ Գիրքը կ՚ըսէ. «Երկուքը պիտի ըլլան մէ՛կ մարմին»: Իսկ ա՛ն որ Տէրոջ կը միանայ, անոր հետ մէկ հոգի կ՚ըլլայ: Փախէ՛ք պոռնկութենէն: Ամէն մեղք՝ որ մարդ կը գործէ, իր մարմինէն դուրս է. բայց ա՛ն որ կը պոռնկի, կը մեղանչէ իր մարմինի՛ն դէմ: Չէ՞ք գիտեր թէ ձեր մարմինը տաճարն է Սուրբ Հոգիին՝ որ ձեր մէջն է. զայն Աստուծմէ ստացաք, եւ դուք ձեզի չէք պատկանիր, քանի որ մեծ գինով մը գնուեցաք. ուստի փառաւորեցէ՛ք Աստուած ձեր մարմինին ու ձեր հոգիին մէջ, որոնք կը պատկանին Աստուծոյ: Ուրեմն, ինչ կը վերաբերի այն բաներուն՝ որոնց մասին գրեցիք ինծի, լաւ է մարդուն համար՝ որ կնոջ չմերձենայ: Բայց պոռնկութենէն խուսափելու համար՝ իւրաքանչիւրը թող ունենայ իր կինը, եւ ամէն կին թող ունենայ իր ամուսինը: Ամուսինը թող հատուցանէ կնոջ ինչ որ կը պարտի, նմանապէս կինն ալ՝ իր ամուսինին: Կինը 3

իշխանութիւն չունի իր մարմինին վրայ, հապա՝ ամուսինը. նմանապէս ամուսինն ալ իշխանութիւն չունի իր մարմինին վրայ, հապա՝ կինը: Մի՛ զրկէք զիրար, բայց միայն համաձայնութեամբ՝ ատենի մը համար, որ դուք ձեզ աղօթքի յատկացնէք ու դարձեալ գաք իրարու քով, որպէսզի Սատանան չփորձէ ձեզ՝ ձեր անժուժկալութեան համար: Ասիկա կ՚ըսեմ՝ արտօնելով, ո՛չ թէ հրամայելով: Որովհետեւ կ՚ուզէի որ բոլոր մարդիկ ըլլային ինծի պէս. բայց իւրաքանչիւրը ունի իր յատուկ շնորհը Աստուծմէ, մէկը՝ այսպէս, իսկ միւսը՝ այնպէս: Ուստի կ՚ըսեմ ամուրիներուն եւ այրիներուն. «Լաւ կ՚ըլլայ անոնց համար՝ եթէ մնան ինծի պէս»: Բայց եթէ ժուժկալութիւն չունին՝ թող ամուսնանան. որովհետեւ աւելի լաւ է ամուսնանալ՝ քան բորբոքիլ: Իսկ ամուսնացածներուն կը հրամայեմ, ո՛չ թէ ես, հապա՝ Տէրը. «Կինը թող չզատուի իր ամուսինէն, (իսկ եթէ զատուի ալ՝ թող մնայ անամուսին, կամ հաշտուի իր ամուսինին հետ,) եւ ամուսինը թող չձգէ իր կինը»: ՄԱՏԹԷՈՍԻ ԱՒԵՏԱՐԱՆԷՆ 19.3-12 Փարիսեցիները մօտեցան անոր եւ փորձեցին զայն՝ ըսելով. «Արտօնուա՞ծ է, որ մարդ մը արձակէ իր կինը՝ որեւէ պատճառի համար»: Ան ալ պատասխանեց անոնց. «Չէ՞ք կարդացեր թէ ա՛ն՝ որ սկիզբէն ստեղծեց, արու եւ էգ ստեղծեց զանոնք, ու ըսաւ. “Այս պատճառով մարդը պիտի թողու հայրն ու մայրը, եւ պիտի յարի իր կնոջ, ու երկուքը պիտի ըլլան մէ՛կ մարմին”: Հետեւաբար ա՛լ երկու չեն, հապա՝ մէկ մարմին. ուրեմն մարդը թող չզատէ ինչ որ Աստուած իրարու միացուցած է»: Ըսին իրեն. «Հապա ինչո՞ւ Մովսէս պատուիրեց ամուսնալուծումի վկայագիր տալ եւ արձակել»: Ըսաւ անոնց. «Մովսէս ձեր սիրտին կարծրութեա՛ն համար արտօնեց ձեզի՝ որ արձակէք ձեր կիները. բայց սկիզբէն այնպէս չէր: Սակայն կը յայտարարեմ ձեզի. “Ո՛վ որ կ՚արձակէ իր կինը՝ առանց պոռնկութեան պատճառի, ու կ՚ամուսնանայ ուրիշի մը հետ՝ շնութիւն կ՚ընէ: Եւ ո՛վ որ արձակուածին հետ կ՚ամուսնանայ՝ շնութիւն կ՚ընէ”»: Իր աշակերտները ըսին իրեն. «Եթէ ա՛յդ է պարագան մարդուն եւ իր կնոջ միջեւ, օգտակար չէ ամուսնանալ»: Բայց ինք ըսաւ անոնց.

«Բոլորը չեն ընդունիր ասիկա, հապա անոնք՝ որոնց տրուած է: Որովհետեւ կան ներքինիներ, որոնք ա՛յդպէս ծնան՝ իրենց մօր որովայնէն. կան ներքինիներ, որոնք մարդոցմէ՛ ներքինի եղան. ու կան ներքինիներ, որոնք իրենք զիրենք ներքինի ըրին՝ երկինքի թագաւորութեան համար: Ո՛վ որ կրնայ ընդունիլ՝ թող ընդունի»: 1 CORINTHIANS 6.18-7.11 For they refreshed my spirit and yours also. Such men deserve recognition.

The churches in the province of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Priscilla a greet you warmly in the Lord, and so does the church that meets at their house. All the brothers and sisters here send you greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss.

If anyone does not love the Lord, let that person be cursed! Come, Lord !

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.

Now for the matters you wrote about: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife. Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

I say this as a concession, not as a command. I wish that all of you were as I am. But each of you has your own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that.

Now to the unmarried a and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I do. But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband. But if she does, she must remain unmarried 5

or else be reconciled to her husband. And a husband must not divorce his wife.

MATTHEW 19.3-12 Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?”

“Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

“Why then,” they asked, “did Moses command that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?”

Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.”

The disciples said to him, “If this is the situation between a husband and wife, it is better not to marry.”

Jesus replied, “Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given. For there are eunuchs who were born that way, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others—and there are those who choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it.” Հետեւաբար, սիրելի՛ եղբայրներս, հաստատո՛ւն եւ անշա՛րժ եղէք, ու ամէն ատեն յառաջդիմեցէ՛ք Տէրոջ գործին մէջ, գիտնալով թէ ձեր աշխատանքը ընդունայն չէ Տէրոջմով:

(Ա.Կորնթ. 15:58) Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

ԵՓԵՍՈՍԻ ՍԲ. ԺՈՂՈՎԻ 200 ՀԱՅՐԱՊԵՏՆԵՐՈՒ ՅԻՇԱՏԱԿՈՒԹԵԱՆ ՕՐ 1 ՕԳՈՍՏՈՍ Եփեսոսի Տիեզերական 3-րդ ժողովը գումարուեցաւ 431 թ. Հրաւէրովը Թէոդոս Բ. Կայսեր՝ կարգադրելու համար նեստորական վէճերը։ Ժողովը նախագահեց Կիւրեղ Աղեքսանդրիացի Պատրիարքը

եւ ժողովիններկայեղան 200 հայրապետներ։ Նեստորը քարոզիչ հոգեւորական էր Անտիոքի շրջանէն, որ 428թ.Կ. Պոլսոյ պատրիարք ընտրուեցաւ։ Նեստորի ուսմունքին համաձայն Քրիստոս ծնած է որպես հասարակ մարդ, ապա Աստուածութիւնը բնակած է անոր անձին մէջ: Ուստի Ս. Կոյս Մարիամը Աստուածածին չէ, այլ մարդածին: Ժողովը գրեթէ միաձայնութեամբ դատապարտեց Նեստորը եւ իր ուսուցումը։ Ժողովը ընդունեցաւ Կիւրեղ Աղեքսանդրիացիի ուսմունքը որուն համաձայն Քրիստոսի Աստուածային և մարդկային բնութիւնները միաւորուած են եւ Ս. Մարիամ ոչ թէ մարդածին է, այլ Աստուածածին, քանի որ ծնունդ տուաւ Աստուծոյ Որդիին: Թէեւ Հայ Եկեղեցին չմասնակցեցաւ այս ժողովին, բայց ընդունեց անոր որոշումներն ու տիեզերական հեղինակութիւնը: Իսկ Կիւրեղի նշանաւոր բանաձեւը, որ է «Մի է բնութիւն Բանին մարմնացե7

լոյ» Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցւոյ մէջ դարձաւ Քրիստոսի բնութեան վարդապետութեան հիմնաքարը:

200 HOLY FATHERS OF THE ECUMENICAL COUNCIL OF EPHESUS AUGUST 1 On August 1, the Armenian church commemorates the 200 Holy Fathers of the Council of Ephesus (431 AD). The third Universal Ecumenical Council, was convened inEphesus by the order of Emperor Theodosius IIto settle the Nestorian heresy.

About 200 Pontiffs attended this council, which was presided by Patriarch Cyril of Alexandria. Nestorius was the Patriarch of Constantinople, and according to his teaching there were two independent, contrasting natures in Christ: divine and human. Nestorius preached that Christ was born as a simple man and only later Divinity was settled in His Person, and therefore, the Holy Virgin Mary was not Godmother, but the mother of a simple man.

The Council approved the title of Theotokos for the Virgin Mary. Even though the Armenian Church did not participate in this Council, it accepted the canons and decisions passed during the council.

The Armenian Church recognizes the first three ecumenical councils: Council of Nicaea (325); Council of Constantinople (381); Council of Ephesus (431) and dedicated commemoration days in its Liturgical Calendar for all three.

OUR CHURCH HAS REOPENED Dear faithful, It is with a heart full of spiritual happiness we announce that based on the decision of Mr. Doug Ford, Ontario Premier, and the blessings of H.E. Bishop Abgar Hovakimian, Primate of the Armenian Church of Canada, Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church reopened its doors to the faithful on Sunday, June 14, 2020.

The church will be open for prayers and visits every: Sunday for Divine Liturgy, from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. Live streaming will be available on the church Facebook page.

Wednesday, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm, prayers for the recovery of those who are ill. Live streaming will be available on the church Facebook page.

Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 3:00 pm, during the church office hours, for private prayers and lighting of candles.

In order to register names for baptisms, weddings, funeral services, as well as requiem and prayers for health or to visit the church office, you are kindly advised to contact the office beforehand: Tel.: 416-431-3001 ext. 226

ATTENTION We would like to draw your attention to the following important points: According to the decision made by the Provincial authorities, we will be able to admit only a limited number of faithful, in order to be able to apply all security measures: keeping 6 feet apart. Families living in the same household will be allowed to sit together; however, each person will be counted separately in the headcount. No handshakes and hugs, please.

All those who visit the church must wear a face mask. Please bring your own to help ensure supplies last.

A designated person will record the names of the visitors and escort them to their assigned seat.

The collection tray will not be passed but rather placed in the Church lobby, where people can make their offering on their way out.

All those in high risk groups are strongly urged to stay home.

You cannot enter the Church if any of the following applies to you: 1. a family member or anybody in your immediate surrounding has any of the symptoms listed below or has tested positive for Covid-19; 2. have fever; 3. have a cough; 4. have a sore throat; 5. have loss of taste or smell; 6. traveled outside the province of Ontario APPRECIATION We extend our thanks to the deacons and the members of the church choir, who voluntarily participated in the ceremonies during these difficult times and to you, dear faithful, for your patience, prayers and your donations to support the mission of our Church.

Նահանգային կառավարութեան առած որոշումին համաձայն, առայժմ մենք արարողութիւններուն պիտի կարենանք սահմանափակ թիւով հաւատացեալներ ընդունիլ, ապահովութեան բոլոր միջոցները կիրառելու համար, 6 ոտք հեռաւորութիւն պահելով։ Ընտանիքներ, որոնք նոյն յարկին տակ կը բնակին, կրնան միասին նստիլ, բայց իւրաքանչիւր անձ իբրեւ առանձին թիւ պիտի նկատուի հաշիւին մէջ։ Ձեռնուիլ եւ փաթթուիլ պէտք չէ ըլլայ։ Բոլոր անոնք որոնք եկեղեցի կ'այցելեն, պարտին դիմակ կրել։ Հաճեցէք միշտ ձեր անձնական դիմակները հայթայթել։ Նշանակուած անձ մը ձեր անունները պիտի արձանագրէ եւ ձեր տեղերը առաջնորդէ։ Պատարագի դրամահաւաքի պնակը չպիտի դարձուի, այլ պիտի դրուի եկեղեցւոյ նախասրահի մէջ, ուր ելլած ատէն պիտի կարենաք ձեր նուէրները դնել։ ԶԳՈՒՇԱՑՈՒՄ Բոլոր այն անձերը որոնք հիւանդանալու բարձր կարելիութիւն ունին նախընտրելի է որ տունը մնան։ Եկեղեցի չէք կրնար մտնել եթէ հետեւեալ կէտերէն որեւէ մէկը կը կիրարկուի.

1. ձեր անմիջական շրջանակին կամ ընտանիքին մէջ ոեւէ մէկը վարակուած է Գովիտ-19-ով եւ կամ ունին հետեւեալ ախտանշանները՝ 2. ջերմութիւն, 3. հազ, 4. կոկորդի ցաւ, 5. հոտառութեան կամ համի զգալի պակաս, 6. Օնթարիօ նահանգէն դուրս ճամբորդած էք։
