ՊՕՂՈՍ ԱՌԱՔԵԱԼԻ ԿՈՂՄԷ ՀՌՈՄԷԱՑԻՆԵՐՈՒՆ ՈՒՂՂԱԾ ՆԱՄԱԿԷՆ 12.1-13.10 Ուրեմն կ՚աղաչե՛մ ձեզի, եղբայրնե՛ր, Աստուծոյ կարեկցութեամբ, որ ձեր մարմինները ներկայացնէք որպէս ապրող զոհ մը՝ սուրբ, աստուածահաճոյ. ա՛յդ է ձեր բանական պաշտամունքը: Եւ մի՛ համակերպիք այս աշխարհին, հապա փոխակերպուեցէ՛ք ձեր միտքին նորոգութեամբ, որպէսզի քննէք թէ ի՛նչ է Աստուծոյ կամքը, որ բարի, հաճելի եւ կատարեալ է: Քանի որ ինծի տրուած շնորհքով կ՚ըսեմ ձեզմէ ամէն մէկուն, որ իր մասին աւելի բարձր համարում չունենայ՝ քան ինչ որ պէտք է մտածէ, հապա խոհեմութեա՛մբ մտածէ, հաւատքի չափին համեմատ՝ որ Աստուած բաշխած է իւրաքանչիւրին: Որովհետեւ ինչպէս մէկ մարմինի մէջ ունինք շատ անդամներ, եւ այդ բոլոր անդամները միեւնոյն պաշտօնը չունին, նոյնպէս մենք՝ շատ ըլլալով՝ մէ՛կ մարմին ենք Քրիստոսով, եւ իւրաքանչիւրս՝ իրարու անդամներ: Ուստի՝ ունենալով շնորհներ, որոնք կը տարբերին այն շնորհքին համեմատ՝ որ մեզի տրուած է, եթէ մարգարէութիւն է՝ մարգարէանա՛նք հաւատքին համեմատութեամբ, եթէ սպասարկութիւն՝ սպասարկե՛նք. ա՛ն որ կը սորվեցնէ՝ թող յարատեւէ սորվեցնելով, ա՛ն որ կը յորդորէ՝ յորդորելով. ա՛ն որ կը բաշխէ՝ թող յարատեւէ պարզամտութեամբ, ա՛ն որ վերակացու է՝ փութաջանութեամբ, ա՛ն որ կ՚ողորմի՝ ուրախութեամբ: Սէրը թող ըլլայ առանց կեղծիքի. չարէն զզուեցէ՛ք, բարիի՛ն յարեցէք: Իրարու հանդէպ գորովալի՛ց եղէք՝ եղբայրական սիրով. պատուելու մէջ՝ զիրա՛ր գերադասեցէք: Փութաջանութեան մէջ ծոյլ մի՛ ըլլաք. եռանդո՛ւն հոգիով Տէրոջ ծառայեցէք: Յոյսո՛վ ուրախացէք. տառապանքի մէջ համբերեցէ՛ք. աղօթքի մէջ յարատեւեցէ՛ք: Սուրբերու կարիքներուն հաղորդակի՛ց եղէք. հիւրասիրութեան հետամո՛ւտ եղէք: 3

Ձեզ հալածողները օրհնեցէ՛ք. օրհնեցէ՛ք եւ մի՛ անիծէք: Ուրախացողներուն հետ ուրախացէ՛ք, ու լացողներուն հետ լացէ՛ք: Իրարու հանդէպ միեւնո՛յն մտածումը ունեցէք: Բարձր բաներու վրայ մի՛ մտածէք, հապա խոնարհեցէ՛ք դէպի նուաստները. դուք ձեզ իմաստուն մի՛ սեպէք: Չարիքի փոխարէն չարիք մի՛ հատուցանեցէք ոեւէ մէկուն. մտադրեցէ՛ք ընել ինչ որ պարկեշտ է բոլոր մարդոց առջեւ: Որչափ կարելի է ձեզի՝ խաղաղութի՛ւն պահեցէք ամէն մարդու հետ: Սիրելինե՛ր, վրէժխնդիր մի՛ ըլլաք դուք ձեզի համար, հապա տե՛ղ տուէք Աստուծոյ բարկութեան. որովհետեւ գրուած է. «Վրէժխնդրութիւնը ի՛մս է, ե՛ս պիտի հատուցանեմ,- կ՚ըսէ Տէրը»: Ուրեմն «եթէ քու թշնամիդ անօթեցած է՝ սնուցանէ՛ զայն, ու եթէ ծարաւցած է՝ խմցո՛ւր անոր. քանի որ այսպէս ընելով՝ կրակի կայծեր պիտի կուտակես անոր գլուխին վրայ»: Չարէն մի՛ յաղթուիր, հապա բարիո՛վ յաղթէ չարին: Ամէն անձ թող հպատակի իր վրայ եղած իշխանութիւններուն. որովհետեւ չկայ իշխանութիւն մը՝ որ Աստուծմէ չըլլայ, եւ անոնք որ կան՝ կարգուած են Աստուծմէ: Հետեւաբար ո՛վ որ կ՚ընդդիմանայ իշխանութեան, կը դիմադրէ Աստուծոյ կարգադրութեան. եւ անոնք որ կը դիմադրեն՝ իրենք զիրենք կը դատապարտեն՝՝: Քանի որ իշխանները՝ բարի գործերու համար վախ չեն ազդեր, հապա՝ չար գործերու: Ուստի կ՚ուզե՞ս չվախնալ իշխանութենէն. բարի՛ն գործէ, եւ գովեստ պիտի ընդունիս անկէ: Որովհետեւ ան Աստուծոյ սպասարկուն է քեզի համար՝ որ բարի՛ն գործես. բայց եթէ չա՛րը գործես՝ վախցի՛ր, քանի որ զուր տեղը չէ որ սուր կը կրէ մէջքը. որովհետեւ Աստուծոյ սպասարկուն է, եւ վրէժխնդիր՝ բարկութիւն հասցնելու անոր վրայ՝ որ չարիք կը գործէ: Ուստի հա՛րկ է հպատակիլ. ո՛չ միայն բարկութեան համար, այլ նաեւ խղճմտանքի համար: Այս պատճառով է որ տուրք ալ կը վճարէք. որովհետեւ Աստուծոյ պաշտօնեաներն են՝ բուն այս բանին յատկացուած: Ուրեմն հատուցանեցէ՛ք բոլորին ինչ որ կը պարտիք. որո՛ւն որ տուրք տրուելու է՝ տուրքը, որո՛ւն որ մաքս՝ մաքսը, որո՛ւն որ վախ՝ վախը, որո՛ւն որ պատիւ՝ պատիւը: 4

Ո՛չ մէկ պարտք ունեցէք ոեւէ մէկուն, բացի զիրար սիրելէ. որովհետեւ ո՛վ որ կը սիրէ ընկերը՝ գործադրած կ՚ըլլայ Օրէնքը: Արդարեւ այն ըսուածը. «Շնութիւն մի՛ ըներ, սպանութիւն մի՛ ըներ, գողութիւն մի՛ ըներ, սուտ վկայութիւն մի՛ տար, մի՛ ցանկար», եւ եթէ կայ ուրիշ որեւէ պատուիրան՝ համառօտաբար կը բովանդակուի սա՛ խօսքին մէջ. «Սիրէ՛ ընկերդ քու անձիդ՝՝ պէս»: Սէրը ո՛չ մէկ չարիք կը գործէ իր ընկերին. ուրեմն սէ՛րն է Օրէնքին գործադրութիւնը: ՄԱՏԹԷՈՍԻ ԱՒԵՏԱՐԱՆԷՆ 5.17-48 «Մի՛ կարծէք թէ եկայ՝ աւրելու Օրէնքը կամ Մարգարէները: Եկայ ո՛չ թէ աւրելու, հապա՝ գործադրելու: Որովհետեւ ճշմա՛րտապէս կը յայտարարեմ ձեզի. “Մինչեւ որ երկինքն ու երկիրը անցնին, Օրէնքէն յովտ մը կամ նշանագիր մը պիտի չանցնի՝ մինչեւ որ բոլորն ալ կատարուին”: Ուրեմն ո՛վ որ այս ամենափոքր պատուիրաններէն մէկը լուծէ եւ մարդոց ա՛յնպէս սորվեցնէ, անիկա ամենափոքր պիտի կոչուի երկինքի թագաւորութեան մէջ. բայց ո՛վ որ գործադրէ ու սորվեցնէ, անիկա մեծ պիտի կոչուի երկինքի թագաւորութեան մէջ: Որովհետեւ կը յայտարարեմ ձեզի. “Եթէ ձեր արդարութիւնը չգերազանցէ դպիրներու եւ Փարիսեցիներու արդարութիւնը, բնա՛ւ պիտի չմտնէք երկինքի թագաւորութիւնը”»: «Լսեր էք թէ ըսուեցաւ նախնիքներուն. “Մի՛ սպաններ”: Ո՛վ որ սպաննէ, արժանի պիտի ըլլայ դատաստանի: Բայց ես կը յայտարարեմ ձեզի. “Ո՛վ որ զուր տեղը բարկանայ իր եղբօր դէմ՝ արժանի պիտի ըլլայ դատաստանի: Ո՛վ որ "ապուշ" ըսէ իր եղբօր՝ արժանի պիտի ըլլայ ատեանի դատապարտութեան: Ո՛վ որ "յիմար" ըսէ իր եղբօր՝ արժանի պիտի ըլլայ գեհենի կրակին”: Ուրեմն եթէ քու ընծադ զոհասեղանին վրայ բերես, ու հոն յիշես թէ եղբայրդ բա՛ն մը ունի քեզի դէմ, հո՛ն ձգէ ընծադ՝ զոհասեղանին առջեւ. նա՛խ գնա՝ հաշտուէ՛ եղբօրդ հետ, եւ ա՛յն ատեն եկուր՝ որ մատուցանես ընծադ: Շուտո՛վ համաձայնէ քու ոսոխիդ հետ, մինչ ճամբան ես անոր հետ, որպէսզի 5

հակառակորդդ չյանձնէ քեզ դատաւորին, ու դատաւորը՝ ոստիկանին, եւ բանտը չնետուիս: Ճշմա՛րտապէս կը յայտարարեմ քեզի. “Բնա՛ւ դուրս պիտի չելլես անկէ, մինչեւ որ վճարես վերջին նաքարակիտը”»: «Լսեր էք թէ ըսուեցաւ. “Շնութիւն մի՛ ըներ”: Բայց ես կը յայտարարեմ ձեզի. “Ո՛վ որ կը նայի կնոջ մը՝ անոր ցանկալու համար, արդէ՛ն անիկա իր սիրտին մէջ շնութիւն ըրած է անոր հետ”: Ուստի եթէ աջ աչքդ կը գայթակղեցնէ քեզ, հանէ՛ զայն ու նետէ՛ քեզմէ. որովհետեւ աւելի օգտակար է քեզի՝ որ անդամներէդ մէկը կորսուի, բայց ամբողջ մարմինդ չնետուի գեհենը: Եթէ աջ ձեռքդ կը գայթակղեցնէ քեզ, կտրէ՛ զայն ու նետէ՛ քեզմէ. որովհետեւ աւելի օգտակար է քեզի՝ որ անդամներէդ մէկը կորսուի, ու ամբողջ մարմինդ չնետուի գեհենը»: «Նաեւ ըսուեցաւ. “Ո՛վ որ արձակէ իր կինը, թող տայ անոր ամուսնալուծումի վկայագիր մը”: Բայց ես կը յայտարարեմ ձեզի. “Ո՛վ որ կ՚արձակէ իր կինը՝ առանց պոռնկութեան պատճառի, ի՛նք շնութիւն ընել կու տայ անոր, եւ ո՛վ որ կ՚ամուսնանայ արձակուածին հետ՝ շնութիւն կ՚ընէ”»: «Լսեր էք դարձեալ թէ ըսուեցաւ նախնիքներուն. “Սուտ երդում մի՛ ըներ, հապա հատուցանէ՛ Տէրոջ ըրած երդումներդ”: Բայց ես կը յայտարարեմ ձեզի. “Երբե՛ք երդում մի՛ ընէք, ո՛չ երկինքի վրայ՝ որ Աստուծոյ գահն է, ո՛չ երկրի վրայ՝ որ անոր ոտքերուն պատուանդանն է, ո՛չ Երուսաղէմի վրայ՝ որ Մեծ Թագաւորին քաղաքն է, ո՛չ ալ գլուխիդ վրայ երդում ըրէ, որովհետեւ չես կրնար մէ՛կ մազ ճերմկցնել կամ սեւցնել: Հապա ձեր խօսքը ըլլայ՝ այո՛ն՝ այո՛, եւ ո՛չը՝ ո՛չ. ասկէ աւելին յառաջ կու գայ Չարէն”»: «Լսեր էք թէ ըսուեցաւ. “Աչքի տեղ՝ աչք, եւ ակռայի տեղ՝ ակռայ”: Բայց ես կը յայտարարեմ ձեզի. “Չարին մի՛ դիմադրեր. հապա ո՛վ որ ապտակէ աջ այտիդ, դարձո՛ւր անոր միւսն ալ: Եթէ մէկը ուզէ դատ վարել քեզի հետ ու բաճկոնդ առնել, թո՛ղ տուր անոր հանդերձդ ալ: Եւ ո՛վ որ ստիպէ քեզ մղոն մը երթալ, գնա՛ անոր հետ երկու մղոն: Տո՛ւր քեզմէ ուզողին, ու երես մի՛ դարձներ անկէ՝ որ կ՚ուզէ փոխ առնել քեզմէ”»: 6

«Լսեր էք թէ ըսուեցաւ. “Սիրէ՛ ընկերդ եւ ատէ՛ թշնամիդ”: Բայց ես կը յայտարարեմ ձեզի. “Սիրեցէ՛ք ձեր թշնամիները, օրհնեցէ՛ք ձեզ անիծողները, բարի՛ք ըրէք անոնց՝ որ կ՚ատեն ձեզ, եւ աղօթեցէ՛ք անոնց համար՝ որ կը պախարակեն ու կը հալածեն ձեզ, որպէսզի ըլլաք ձեր երկնաւոր Հօր որդիները. որովհետեւ իր արեւը կը ծագեցնէ թէ՛ չարերուն եւ թէ բարիներուն վրայ, եւ անձրեւ կը ղրկէ թէ՛ արդարներուն եւ թէ անարդարներուն վրայ: Որովհետեւ եթէ դուք սիրէք ձեզ սիրողները, ի՞նչ վարձատրութիւն կ՚ունենաք. մաքսաւորնե՛րն ալ նոյնը չե՞ն ըներ: Ու եթէ բարեւէք միայն ձեր եղբայրները, ի՞նչ աւելի կ՚ընէք ուրիշներէն. մաքսաւորնե՛րն ալ նոյնը չե՞ն ըներ: Ուրեմն դուք կատարեա՛լ եղէք, ինչպէս ձեր երկնաւոր Հայրը կատարեալ է”»: ROMANS 12.1-13.10 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God— this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.

Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.

In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”

21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.

This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor.

Therefore, love is the fulfillment of the law.

MATTHEW 5.17-48 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Therefore, anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

“You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’ But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister b c will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’ d is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.

“Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.

“Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court.

Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison. Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.

“It has been said, ‘Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.’ But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her the victim of adultery, and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

“Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘Do not break your oath, but fulfill to the Lord the vows you have made.’ But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others?

Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

ԱՅՍ ԿԻՐԱԿԻ - THIS SUNDAY ԱՐՏԱՔՍՄԱՆ ԿԻՐԱԿԻ Մեծ Պահքի Բ. Կիրակին, այս տարի Փետրուար 18-ին, Արտաքսման Կիրակի է: Այս Կիրակին կը յիշատակէ Ադամի ու Եւայի արտաք-սումը դրախտէն: Աստուածաշունչ մատեանի Ծննդոց գիրքը կը նկարագրէ, թէ ինչպէս Ադամ ու Եւան իրենց անհնազանդութեան պատճառով արտաքսուեցան Եդեմական պարտէզէն եւ դատապարտուեցան մահկանացու դժուարին կեանքի: Արտաքսման Կիրակին յիշեցում մըն է, որ մեղքը Աստուծոյ կամքը եւ Անոր օրէնքը անտեսելն ու անոր չհնազանդիլն է, զոր մեզ կը հեռացնէ Աստուծմէ: Ադամի ու Եւայի մեղքի պատճառով, մարդկութիւնը հեռացաւ Աստուծմէ, բայց Յիսուս Աստուածորդին իր վրայ վերցուց ադամական մեղքը եւ մարդկութեան համար դարձաւ ճամբան, վերստին արժանի դառնալու երկնքի Արքայութեանը՝ մկրտութեամբ, զղջումով, ապաշխարութեամբ եւ առաքինի կեանքով:

SUNDAY OF EXPULSION The second Sunday of Great lent is called the Sunday of Expulsion. This year the Sunday of Expulsion falls on February 18. Since Easter is a movable feast, every year the date is determined based on Lunar Clendar.

The name of this Sunday came from the story in the Bible found in the Book of Genesis, referring to the exile of Adam and Eve from the garden of Eden (Genesis 2, 3). The Book of Genesis describes how Adam and Eve disobeyed God and tasted the forbidden fruit. This was God's first commencement to man and the first reference to fasting and abstinence.

For their disobedience, and failure to confess and repent for what they have done, Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden of Eden. This Sunday reminds us that the sin is the disobedience of God’s will. All around us, there are constant temptations to put ourselves and our wishes ahead of what God wants. And by doing so we separate ourselves from God. Because of Adam and Eve's original sin, the mankind was strayed away from God. When Jesus Christ died on the Cross, through Him and with baptism, repentance and pious life we were shown the way to return to God's Kingdom.

1. Հաւատքով կը խոստովանիմ Քեզ եւ կ’երկրպագեմ Քեզի՝ Հայր, Որդի եւ Սուրբ Հոգի, անեղ եւ անմահ բնութիւն, մարդերուն, հրեշտակներուն եւ ամէն էակներուն ստեղծիչը. Ողորմիր Քու արարածներուդ եւ ինծի՝ բազմամեղիս: 2. Հաւատքով կը խոստովանիմ Քեզ եւ կ’երկրպագեմ Քեզի անբաժանելի լոյս, միասնական Սուրբ Երրորդութիւն եւ մէկ Աստուածութիւն, լոյսը ստեղծող եւ խաւարը հալածող. իմ հոգիէս դուրս հալածէ մեղքի եւ անգիտութեան խաւարը եւ լուսաւորէ իմ միտքս հաճոյքով աղօթելու Քեզի այս ժամուն եւ ընդունելու իմ խնդրանքներս. ողորմիր Քու արարածներուդ եւ ինծի՝ բազմամեղիս: 3.
