In a Montessori mixed age classroom, no two students are required to work on the same material, subject, or assignment, because no two students are the same. The venerable classical motto “sound mind in sound body� lives today at Torit. Sports enhance mental acuity, personal performance, and social engagement. Students who learn to push themselves as athletes carry that personal drive into Montessori’s independent academic environment, and learn to explore and experience collaborative ways to support and lead a team of peers.

Athletics

Our Visual and Performing Arts program is a vehicle that encourages introspection, and invites each child to question, analyze, interpret and make decisions while learning from the past and present. Torit’s drama and visual arts program is rooted in the stories and history portrayed in the scripts and in the inspirational artists they study.

No single school campus could ever house the lessons in history or scientific advances for which opportunities abound in Boston. We utilize our strategic location. In designing curriculum at Torit, we recognize and build in consistent opportunities to bring to life the richest lessons of American history and understandings of civic life and to experience the myriad examples of cutting edge science surrounding us in Boston and its environs.
