In many ways, real estate is a performance. A home has to capture the audience’s attention and leave them feeling excited and full of hope. With a background as a professional stage actress, REALTOR® Caitlin Beanan can explain this to you better than anyone. After years of performing at the iconic Beach Blanket Babylon theater in San Francisco, Caitlin decided to switch paths and pursue real estate as a career eight years ago. For someone who is used to being on their feet all the time and loves working with people, it was the perfect fit. Representing clients in and around San Mateo county, her star is now making its steady rise in the real estate industry.

Caitlin’s team, Pickett Real Estate Group is comprised of her partner, Kevin Pickett and her husband, Richie Beanan who serves as the Director of Operations. Kevin focuses on the selling side, while Caitlin represents the buyers. “We’re a small team, but we like it that way,” she says. Together, they cover the bulk of San Mateo county, including everything between Burlingame and Redwood City as well as Palo Alto and the coast. “We have a lot of people come down from the city to the coast area,” she explains. Her husband was born and raised in Pacifica and Kevin currently lives there, so their knowledge of that area is extensive.

Recognized for going above and beyond for her clients, Caitlin counts around 60% of her business as coming from people she has worked with in the past. “Buying and selling a house is stressful and I don’t want them to feel it,” she explains. The other percentage of buyers find her listings through social media, newsletters, snail mail and word of mouth. As members of the Top Agent Network, the Pickett Real Estate Group has many connections to other agents who can help find the right match for a home. At the end of every close, Caitlin brings her clients a special orchid arrangement from Floral Art + Decor in Burlingame to show her appreciation for them.

Caitlin’s spare time is very community-oriented. She’s lived in her home for 4.5 years and is currently in charge of membership for her neighborhood committee. Still very connected to the local theaters, she loves performing on a volunteer basis as a way of staying creative and using her talents to bring joy to the community. Caitlin and her husband also love supporting local restaurants, including Vesta in Redwood City, Town in San Carlos and Stella Alpina Osteria in Burlingame. Traveling is also a passion within their family. She, her husband and their daughter recently went to Hawaii and Greece together.

Caitlin’s sales goal for this year is $70 million, but it’s far more than numbers driving her. Just chatting with her, it’s clear that she genuinely loves working with people and has a real passion for real estate. “I love being able to take this journey with my clients. There’s nothing better than receiving the call when they get their dream home.”
