Nick Mastrangelo of Orange, Connecticut, leverages over thirty years in the real estate industry to lead the Regional Properties Team at Coldwell Banker Realty. “I’m passionate about our work. I’m a real estate owner and investor myself, so I walk the talk. In a lot of ways, what I do for my clients is an extension of what I’m already doing for myself, so when I put on that hat to answer real life questions about given scenarios, it’s really helpful – especially for people who are just starting that journey. It was my calling when I first started out, and now I get to share what I’ve learned.”

Originally, Nick entered the industry at the age of twenty-one, and he revels in the experience of growing from upstart to team lead. “I had a couple of influential people early in my life” he recalls, “and they really inspired me to pursue this career. I remember the intimidation of living in a world of fixed costs and working in a field that is commission based, but with their support and mentorship I was able to thrive.” Nick began his career in a high volume office, and eventually the broker-owner of that branch became his business partner. “I started out as an agent in one of our twenty-three offices, and I became the top agent for the company consistently for 10 years. Eventually I became a partner and broker, and we’ve been together ever since!”

Today in 2023, Nick manages an energetic team of six that services all of New Haven, Fairfield, Middlesex and Litchfield Counties. The Regional Properties Team is a dynamic mix of seasoned and newly licensed agents, and they boast a book of business that is seventy-five percent repeat and referral clients, which bolsters their recent annual volume averaging $33.3 million spread across fifty-one units. Nick attributes his consistent success to his ability to hone in on the minutiae of every transaction: his testimonials praise his capacity to individualize his approach to effectively communicate every step of the way. “I let clients know from the start that they’re going to see a lot more work on the front end, so that I can tailor my methods to the exact property, mortgage, or buyer. This diligence has helped me succeed assisting first time home buyers, especially when they know what to expect, then it’s easier to guide them through the process.”

In addition to his highly specialized strategies, Nick’s experience working in high volume real estate helps him navigate his team through oscillating markets. “I developed an ancillary department for myself and my firm focusing on REO business,” he expands. “Being able to navigate the market cycles is all about quality control for corporate clients. Your listing flow depends on your quality control, and I’ve developed some very keen senses for financing and working around obstacles. As a result, I’m blessed to say that my ability to follow through and deliver on my promises is all but guaranteed.”

With his position cemented in the industry, Nick is excited to guide his clients, colleagues, and children (both of whom are licensed REALTORS® themselves) along their personal real estate journeys. “I’m grateful that I was recently able to help the children of my past clients – it’s really exciting to see the next generation get involved. We’re poised to succeed no matter what the economy does next. I’m working on my personal growth, staying healthy and keeping life balanced, while staying laser focused on continuing my service for my clients.”
