With a desire to help others, Leslie McCotry has quickly become a successful real estate agent. She entered the field after moving to North Carolina and wanting to pursue a new path. “Real estate seemed like a great way to make money, and as a mom, it gave me some flexibility,” she explains. Today she’s been in the industry for over a decade, and is showing no signs of slowing down. Serving the coast as well as the greater Jacksonville area, Leslie focuses on serving her clients and making them happy. “The town I live in is Surf City,” she explains. “It’s a beach town, and we’ve seen many people move to this area to work remotely.” The region is growing at a fast pace, and Leslie loves helping people find home here.

A growing percentage of her work derives from repeat clients and referrals, as she goes above and beyond to meet their needs. When working with buyers, she takes the time to understand what they’re looking for and develops a plan to reach their goals. Knowing this is one of the largest transactions they will ever make, Leslie is committed to reducing their stress and explaining each step of the process. She wants everyone involved to be on the same page, so she updates them throughout, and leaves no questions unanswered. Even after the transaction, Leslie remains there for them, reaching out via phone calls and emails. For her sellers, Leslie’s main focus is on getting them the most for their property. She takes a thorough approach to marketing, ensuring every home stands out by providing as much information as possible on the listing and taking high-quality photographs.

Those who work with Leslie are blown away by her efforts, and love to tell their friends and family about their experience. Throughout the year, Leslie gives back to the community. She’s a board member of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, and has also been on the board of the Jacksonville Board of REALTORS®. When she’s not working, she’s enjoying the beach, traveling, or spending time with friends and family.

In the future, Leslie plans to grow her business, including her property management services. “My mother and I started a property management company, and we’re working on the referrals and relationships right now,” she explains. “Our goal is to be a full service business, whether you need to buy, sell, rent or lease out your properties, we’ll be there for you.”
