A threadbare squad, but we can only have ourselves to blame for the size of the scoreline. We started the game well and had a couple of good early chances with crosses into the Horsley box but then went behind with a nothing through ball and although Leggy fouled the guy well outside to prevent the lad going clear in the box the referee gave a penalty. Even Horsley didn’t think it was a penalty but that decision summed up the season. The referee did say to me at half time that although the foul started outside the box the lad didn’t fall

We tried to get back into the game and then gave a stupid goal away when Gilsey cleared a ball which went straight to the Horsley player but Leggy was cleaned out in the process but the ball was passed into the net from all of 25 yards for another poor goal to concede. We were flat and the game was over just on half time when Gilesy dropped a cross gifted the lad a tap in. HT 0-3.

Then we lost Gigsy and had to use our only sub and reorganised. We put in a very good second half performance
