We're targeting discrimination in football. Can you help?
We are taking a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination in football. We’re calling on clubs and leagues like your own to report hate, prejudice or discrimination whenever you see it or hear it.
For those people who behave in a racist, sexist or homophobic way, the message is clear. Enough is Enough.
When we know it has happened, we can take the actions needed to remove discriminatory behaviour. We'll be doing so through a range of punishments:
• Players will be removed from play and suspended.
• Teams can have points deducted.
• Grounds can be closed for repeat offenders.
Together we can end hate in football.
Spread the word that discrimination of all forms will be punished. Share with your welfare officers, league and club officials, and everyone across your league and clubs.
We want everyone across grassroots football to know...
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. TELL US, WE’LL TACKLE IT.

Visiting Club History:
Thame United History
Thame United were formed in 1883 making it one of Oxfordshire’s oldest clubs. The early years were spent in various Oxfordshire Leagues and in 1906, 1909 and 1910 Thame won the Oxfordshire Senior Cup and the Senior League in 1907,1908, 1910, 1930 and 1931. A switch to the Hellenic League then brought further success culminating in the Hellenic League title in 1961-62 and 1969-70, as well as being runners up in 1960-61, 1976-77 and 1980-81. The Oxfordshire Senior Cup was won in both 1976 and 1981 but a poor spell in the mid-eighties preceded a crossing of the pyramid in 1988-89 to join the South Midlands League. The Club finished runners up in both 1988-89 and 1989-90 before eventually winning the title in 1990-91.
Thame received the green light to join the Diadora League in 1991/92. 1994-95 saw the Club win the Division 2 Championship with 93 points - an 11-point margin. In 1995/96 the Club reached the 3rd Round Qualifying in the FA Cup and the FA Trophy. In the league we finished a creditable 13th in our first ever season in the Isthmian League Division One. Andy Sinnott was appointed first team manager in June 1997, and, with a dramatically reduced operating budget, the side were relegated into Ryman Division Two. The Club bounced straight back into Ryman Division One and reached the semi- finals of the FA Vase.
200/2001 season the team lead the way for most of the season, putting together a club record of 12 consecutive league wins but a slump in form in the latter part of the season resulted in a 5th place finish. A mid-table finish followed in 2001/2002 season, but the Oxfordshire Senior Cup was retained. Mark West was appointed player/manager when Andy left United during the Summer of 2003. in October 2003 the Club reached the 4th qualifying round of the FA Cup for the first time in its history, before being beaten 1-2 by Conference side Farnborough Town. After a mid-table finish the Club moved to the newly formed Southern League, Division 1 West. In October 2004 the Club again reached the FA Cup 4th qualifying round and finished the season 11th in the league. Mark West left to join Slough Town and defender Tony Joyce was appointed player manager. By July 2005 the Club were in financial trouble and, following a visit from Bailiffs acting
on behalf of HMRC, the landlord enforced a clause in the tenancy agreement and evicted the club from Windmill Road.
However, shortly thereafter Thame United reached a formal agreement with the new owners of Windmill Road that secured £1.7 million to enable a new facility to be constructed, on Church farm on the edge of the town Whilst the Club progressed procurement of the new site and the necessary planning permission, a ground share agreement was reached with neighbours Aylesbury United. With the side struggling at the foot of the Southern League Division 1 West, Tony Joyce resigned in December 2005, with a new joint managerial partnership of Richard Searl and Alan Thorne appointed. Relegation to the Hellenic League was confirmed later in the season. A ground share agreement was reached with AFC Wallingford for the 2006/07 season. Mark West returned to the Club mid-way through the season but could not save the Club from relegation to the Hellenic League Division 1 East. The 2007/08 season provided greater stability for the Club, with Mark West and new assistant, Frank Thompson, looking after first team affairs. 2009/10 saw the Club win the Division 1 East title by six points and reclaim their place in the Premier Division.
The 2010/11 season was the most significant in the Club’s recent history. With work on a new £3.1m ground at Meadow View Park commencing in March 2010, United returned to Thame at the ASM Stadium on 11 December 2010, just over five years after their enforced eviction from the town. Boasting eight pitches, a floodlit 3G training pitch and 8000 sq ft clubhouse, United now have one of the best sporting facilities in the County. The official opening against Oxford United on 18th January 2011 set a record crowd of 1,382.
Season 2016-17 was one of the most successful in the recent history of the Club. Going the whole league season without losing at home, United were crowned Hellenic League Premier Division Champions. United were duly promoted to the Southern Football League East Division, returning after a spell of twelve years away. In the first season back at Step 4. In 2018/19 United secured an 8th place finish in the new Division 1 Central with the side occupying a mid-table position when the 2019/20 season was curtailed due to the pandemic.
The 2020/21 season was curtailed due to the pandemic, with only seven league matches completed before the league was again halted. Prior to the 2021/22 significant enhancements were completed to Meadow View Park, including a new full-size 3G training pitch, together with associated organisational changes. Last
season, after a slow start, United finished eighth in Division One Central, and until the final month of the season were within touching distance of a play-off place.
2022/2023 the team struggled towards the bottom of the table but an unbeaten run in April saw the team win all matches and climb to a respectable 12 in the table. Whilst a successful run in the Oxfordshire Senior Cup rounded off the season being crowned champions beating Oxford city in the final 4 -1. At the end of the season after a number of years Mark West and his management team left the club. Ben Williams formally of Aylesbury United was appointed to guide the club through the 2023/2024 season.
2023 /2024 was a difficult season, new manager Ben Williams joined the club with pre-season about to start and had to work hard to bring in players. The team spent most of the team fighting at the bottom of the table, which resulted in the team finishing second from bottom of the table, this did not reflect the overall performances with many games Thame were well in contention. With a number of step 3 teams dropping out of the league.
Thame gained a reprieve from relegation due to the teams having the best points per game over the season, of all the step four clubs who finished second from the bottom. But it wasn’t all bad with the team reaching the Oxfordshire Senior Cup final for the second season running and coming away with a 3 - 2 victory against Kidlington, lifting the cup for the second consecutive season.
Ben Williams and his team remained in charge for the 2024/ 2025 season and got off to a good start, reaching the third qualifying round of both the FA Cup and FA Trophy. In the league the team were in playoff contention right up until the last game of the season, but missed out by 3 points finishing in sixth place. But there was good news in the Oxfordshire Senior Cup where the team won the title for the third consecutive year beating Ardly United 5 - 1 in the final at Oxford City.

Leverstock Green 0 vs 1 Ilford
There will be no Emirates FA Cup run for Leverstock Green after they were beaten at home by a single goal by Essex Senior League side Ilford in Saturday’s Extra Preliminary Round tie. Leverstock played some good football and dominated long periods of the game, but they were unable to get past a strong Ilford defence.
Juan Pablo Velasco looked impressive from the start with his skill and pace, and in the 6th minute his cross just eluded the head of Aldo Petagine. In the 18th minute Velasco was brought down by a foul on the bye-line just outside the penalty area. The resulting free kick was driven across goal but no-one could apply the finishing touch.
Kai Nemoto was also looking threatening, and in the 24th minute was brought down for a free kick in a dangerous position, but Velasco’s effort from the kick went over the bar. Three minutes later a great pass from Velasco put Rio Beach in on goal, but he couldn’t get his shot away.
Leverstock had been in control for most of the game, but in the 33rd minute they found themselves a goal down against the run of play. David Luzolo’s hooked shot was out of the reach of Harry Way and went in off the post.
In the 38th minute Matt Forkin made a driving run down the left win and delivered a cross which was knocked down by Petagine to Guiseppe Delgaudio, who shot over the bar from close range with what was probably Leverstock’s best chance of the half.
The second half saw Leverstock continue to have most of the ball, but again they were getting little change out of the Ilford defence. Beach had a shot from distance in the 58th minute which keeper Wilkinson Boateng gathered
at the second attempt. Ten minutes later Velasco hit a low shot from distance which went just wide.
A series of substitutions saw Leverstock change their forward line, but to no avail. Substitute Justin Dass had a chance in the 75th minute, winning the ball from a defender on the edge of the box to go clean through against Boateng, but couldn’t get his shot away before being shut down by the keeper.
Leverstock kept pushing for the equaliser towards the end, winning a series of corners late on, one of which was headed over the bar by Josh Dooley, but they could not find the finishing touch to save the game.

Aylesbury United 0 vs 0 Leverstock Green
Leverstock Green started their second season in the Southern League with a solid point from a goalless draw away to Aylesbury United. It was a game of few chances, although had Leverstock been awarded a penalty for a blatant handball early in the second half, it could have been a different result.
The first half saw Leverstock generally with more of the ball, although they did not make the most of it. Jeffrey Sekyere, who was a key factor in last season’s “great escape” has rejoined on loan from Wealdstone and played up front today, but rarely had a chance to show his skill and pace against a stubborn Ducks defence. Leverstock won several corners during the first half, but the delivery was disappointing with the ball not reaching the danger zone from any of them.
The game’s controversial moment came in the 50th minute. A Leverstock cross was quite clearly batted down by the arm of an Aylesbury defender inside the box, and although just about everybody in the ground thought it was a penalty, the match officials felt it was accidental and played on.
Two minutes later Nat Connolly had one of Leverstock’s best chances when a cross was headed down into his path, but his shot from close range was over the bar. The Leverstock defence did a good job of containing any threat from the Aylesbury side, meaning that keeper Harry Way had little to do other then collect crosses, which he did confidently. Jed Layman’s shot across goal in the 55th minute was as close as the home side came to a goal.
In the 68th minute Leverstock won a free kick in a dangerous position, but Ryan Carruthers’ shot was straight at keeper Jack Hopwood. Juan Pablo Velasco had a shot in the 83rd minute but again it was comfortable for Hopwood. Leverstock could have won the game in stoppage time when Justin Dass had the clearest shooting chance of the game, but his shot was blocked as was a follow-up effort.

Leverstock Green Reserves 1 vs 0 Harefield United Devs
Leverstock Green Reserves opened their season in the Herts Senior County League Premier Division with a 1-0 home win over Harefield United Development.
The winning goal was a late effort from player/coach Charlie Clarke, after the visitors had been reduced to ten men for a second yellow card.
Leverstock Green 1 vs 2 Barton Rovers
Leverstock Green are still looking for their first league win of the season, but put up a good display against last season’s playoff semi-finalists Barton Rovers before going down to a late goal on the break.
Leverstock started the game brightly, and went close in the opening minute as Juan Pablo Velasco hit a shot over the bar. In the 5th minute Dan Casey ran down the left and put in a high, looping cross which looked like it was going out, but curled back into the box, and as the ball came down Josh Dooley got to it ahead of the keeper to head home his first goal for the club and put Leverstock into an early lead.
The scores were levelled in the 15th minute as Leverstock gave away a penalty for a challenge inside the box after a defensive slip. Albie Hall sent the spot kick past Harry Way to put Barton back on level terms.
Barton were well on top during the last 15 minutes of the half and could have gone into the break with a comfortable lead. In the 37th minute a header from Hall was superbly headed off the line by Dooley, and Way made some excellent saves to keep the scores level. In first half stoppage time a missed header from Dooley presented Hall with another chance but he shot weakly wide. Just before the break Leverstock lost their skipper to injury as Ryan Carruthers had to leave the game to be replaced by Oliver Glimas.
The second half continued with Barton in the ascendancy, and they went close in the 56th minute when Marcus Gouldbourne shot into the side netting. However, the introduction of substitute Iker Noguera Leon in the 59th minute for his debut gave Leverstock a new lease of life, and they started to play their way back into the game. They went close in the 69th minute on the break from a Barton corner as Velasco ran at the defence before hitting a shot from a narrow angle which the keeper parried, with the rebound just eluding Jeffrey Sekyere. In the 76th minute Glimas made a
driving run into the box and had the goal in his sights, but didn’t get a shot away and the chance was gone.
It was looking like the game was heading for a draw, but in the 84th minute Leverstock were caught on the break. A ball from the back found Gouldbourne on the halfway line, and he outpaced the Leverstock defence to go through and slot the ball past Way and put Barton 2-1 up.
It could have been 3-1 in the 89th minute as Hall hit a long-range looping effort but it came back off the bar. Leverstock kept pushing throughout stoppage time but could not carve out an equaliser. There were still plenty of positives to take from this game as the new-look Leverstock side continues to gel.

OIR FC 1 vs 2 Leverstock Green Reserves
Leverstock Green Reserves made it two wins out of two in the new Herts Senior County League season on Tuesday night. Archie Baker made it 1-0 with a finish from a Henry Burroughs cross, and Alex Vtornicov doubled the lead shortly after. OIR pulled a goal back just before half time but Leverstock held out for the win.

Leverstock Green Reserves 3 vs 1 Hertford Heath
It became three wins from three games for Leverstock Green Reserves as they continued their 100% start in the HSCL Premier Division.
The starting line-up contained five players from the first team squad who have seen little game time this season, and one of those five scored the opener early on as Joel Onu made it 1-0 to Leverstock. The visitors equalised in the second half, but Alex Vtornicov came off the bench to score two late goals and win the game for Leverstock.
Leverstock Green 2 vs 5 Royston Town
Leverstock Green came back from an early two-goal deficit, but a strong second half from Royston Town saw them take control again and win this Herts Charity Cup second round tie.
The game was less than a minute old when the visitors took the lead. A low free kick into the box went through everybody and was finished from close range by Edu Toiny-Pendred. The fourth minute saw Royston go 2-0 up. Harry Way appeared to have both hands on the ball from a corner, but it somehow came out of his hands, and in the ensuing scramble a shot from Jamie Judge seemed to have been saved by Way but the referee adjudged that the ball had crossed the line.
Leverstock needed a goal back quickly, and they got one in the 8th minute. A great pass from Oliver Glimas put Iker Noguera Leon in behind the defence, and he squared the ball for Jeffrey Sekyere to slot home from six yards.
Leverstock continued to settle into the game and they levelled the scores in the 17th minute. A shot from Sekyere was parried away by the keeper, but Josh Dooley put the loose ball nack into the six-yard box where Noguera Leon stabbed home the equaliser.
Way produced a great save down low in the 25th minute to keep out a shot, and saved again from corners in the 30th and 35th minutes. In the last minute of the half Leverstock almost went in front. Sekyere showed some great footwork in the box before putting Noguera Leon in on goal, but his shot was slotted just wide of the post.
The second half started off evenly-contested, but Royston went back in front in the 55th minute through a stunning long-range strike from Thomas Avgoustidis than gave Way no chance as it flew into the top corner. Eight minutes later Royston produced a swift counter-attack which ended with Harrison Rookard shooting home to put his side firmly in control at 4-2.
Leverstock had no answer this time and a further goal from Rookard in the 80th minute sealed the tie.

Stotfold 2 vs 3 Leverstock Green
Leverstock Green got their first league win of the season on the board, but they had to do it the hard way giving away two-goal lead before snatching victory with a late goal. Leverstock were without a number of first-choice players due to injury or unavailability, but the depth of the squad shone through as the players selected got the job done.
It was a nightmare first half for the home side, who had already lost a player due to injury in the warm-up, and were forced into three further changes within the first 32 minutes of the game.
Leverstock looked threatening from the early minutes of the game. In the second minute Joe McCarthy, playing his first competitive match of the season, got on the end of a great crossfield ball from Iker Noguera Leon and ran at goal, but his shot was blocked. Leon had a great chance himself in the 11th minute as a defensive mistake left him through on goal, but he didn’t get his shot away in time and was dispossessed by a great challenge. Three minutes later McCarthy got to the bye-line and pulled the ball back for Jeffrey Sekyere, whose shot went over the bar.
McCarthy threatened again in the 19th minute as a pass from John Gyabaah allowed him to get past keeper Liam Gooch, but with the route to goal blocked he played a square ball across goal which missed everyone. Leverstock were overdue a goal, and it finally arrived in the 36th minute. A defender sliced the ball into the path of Sekyere, and with Gooch coming out of his goal Sekyere sent a looping header over the stranded keeper into the empty net to open the scoring.
It got even better for Leverstock five minutes later when Nat Connolly was sent flying by a challenge as he darted into the box. The referee pointed to the penalty spot, and Leon sent Gooch the wrong way with the spot-kick to put Leverstock into a 2-0 lead.
However, Stotfold pulled a goal back in the 45th minute as a cross from the right found Luca Cardines in space in the box to hit a first time shot past Harry Way. The number of injuries during the first half meant there was seven minutes of stoppage time, and Leverstock should have scored again in the fourth of those minutes. McCarthy received a pass from Justin Dass and took the ball round Gooch, but his attempt at the empty net went into the side netting.
The second half was a more scrappy affair than the first, with Stotfold having the better of things for much of the half. Leverstock went close to a third goal in the 65th minute as a run from Sekyere set up Connolly for a shot which he hit well, but Gooch pulled off a good save.
The pressure from Stotfold began to grow, and in the 75th minute they drew level. A corner was headed away by Aldo Petagine, but the ball came straight back in and this time Dempsey Thomas connected with a header which flew into the net to make it 2-2.
Joel Onu replaced Connolly in the 79th minute, and the pacy striker didn’t take long to make an impact. In the 84th minute Onu’s pace took him past the Stotfold defence and he hit a superb low shot which came back off the base of the post. Leon went for the rebound but collided with a defender, and the loose ball broke for Sekyere, who made no mistake with a shot into the corner of the net to put Leverstock back in front at 3-2.
Leon was unable to continue after the collision, and Onu’s appearance was also sadly cut short. As he made another threatening run into the box he was nudged by a defender and collided badly with the metal pitch surround, sustaining a cut to the head. Onu’s injury meant that Scott McGleish was able to add another one to his mammoth number of career appearances, and his experience helped Leverstock to see out the four minutes of stoppage time and get the three points over the line.
Stotfold (1) 2 (Cardines 45, Thomas 75)
1. Liam Gooch, 2. Jack Brown (12. Dempsey Thomas 20 mins), 4. Alex Coppin, 5. James Peters, 6. Freddie Stanley (17. Lucas Titchmarsh 66 mins), 7. Codi Spavins (15. Cormac Clarke 32 mins), 8. Mitchell Gooch, 9. Joseph Chidyausiku (16. Daniel Kemp 9 mins), 10. Henry Snee, 11. Luca Cardines. Sub not used: 3. James Kosky.
Leverstock Green (2) 3 (Sekyere 36, 84, Leon 41 pen)
1. Harry Way, 2. Ethan Mooney, 3. Matt Forkin (14. Aldo Petagine 60 mins), 4. Josh Dooley, 5. Tunde Akinpelu, 6. Justin Dass, 7. Joe McCarthy, 8. John Gyabaah, 9. Jeffrey Sekyere, 10. Nat Connolly (19. Joel Onu 79 mins) (18. Scott McGleish 89 mins), 11. Iker Noguera Leon (12. Oliver Glimas 86 mins). Sub not used 15. Dan Pett.
Leverstock Green Reserves 4 vs 5 Allenburys Sports
Leverstock Green Reserves almost pulled off an astonishing comeback against Allenburys Sports, but ended up losing out by the odd goal in nine.
With many players unavailable today, the game was always likely to be tough, and Leverstock were 2-0 down at half time, and 4-0 down early in the second half. However, Alex Vtornicov pulled the first goal back before Charlie Clarke made it 2-4 from the spot and Emmanuel Igwilo reduced the arrears to 3-4. Allenburys scored a fifth, but Curtis Gangarahwe pulled back another goal to make it a tense finish.

PRECISELY 104 days after Aldershot Town and Whitstable Town lifted the Isuzu FA Trophy and FA Vase respectively at a sun-drenched Wembley Stadium, Non-League’s two premier cup competitions are back for another eagerly-awaited campaign.
This afternoon, the 2025-26 FA Trophy kicks off with 32 clubs from Step 4 contesting 16 preliminary round ties.
A record 336 entrants begin the 12-round Road to Wembley and perhaps slightly unfortunate to be made to qualify is Grays Athletic, who have a proud FA Trophy history having won the second of two consecutive finals 20 years ago with victory over Woking, a year after beating Hucknall Town on penalties.
They make the trip this afternoon to Eastern Counties League Premier champions Brantham Athletic, one of four clubs making their FA Trophy debuts.
Rugby Borough, Hassocks FC and last season’s FA Vase runners-up, AFC Whyteleafe, are the others with their sights set on a potentially lucrative run into the latter stages and the visit of a National League big gun.
In this week’s NLP, our friends at @Non-League Factfile were back with all the facts and figures ahead of this afternoon’s ties – and once again there was plenty to mull over.
Four clubs are looking to equal their best FA Trophy run with victory in this preliminary round, namely Garforth Town, Wellingborough Town, Gorleston FC and Westbury United, while ten ties involve clubs that will meet each other in league games this season.
And there’s plenty of scores to settle on the field too with three of the 16 ties involving clubs that have met in the FA Trophy before.
Three years ago, Hanworth Villa beat Northwood 3-0 and Bashley defeated Frome Town 4-1, both in the first qualifying round. Margate knocked out Egham Town in the second qualifying round eight years ago.
The Isuzu FA Vase is equally as fascinating with no fewer than 623 having entered – the highest tally for six years.
This weekend, 202 first qualifying round ties take place up and down the country, involving 404 clubs from Steps 5 and 6.
Seven former FA Vase winners are in action: Whitley Bay (four times, 2001-02, 2008-09, 2009-10, 2010-11), Brigg Town (1995-96, 200203), Romford FC (2023-24), Thatcham Town (2018), Diss Town (1994), Stansted FC (1984) and Hoddesdon Town, the first club to lift the Vase at Wembley Stadium in 1974-75.
In contrast, 26 clubs are participating in the FA Vase for the first time with four more entering in the next round, on September 6.
The tie between Grangetown Boys Club and Leeds Ultra Football Academy guarantees there will be at least five debut clubs in the next round.
Step 6 clubs have enjoyed solid Vase campaigns in recent years and this first qualifying round draw ensured that 61 tenth-tier clubs will progress to the next round (plus Boldon Community Association who have a walkover).
At least 44 Step 5 clubs will exit in this round with a possibility of an upset in 97 ties.
Thirteen clubs will be looking to make history by tasting Vase victory for the first time, while Newcastle Blue Star, Shirehampton FC and Horbury Town are all looking for a first win at their third attempt.
The tie between Club Thorne Colliery and Horbury Town is the only tie to guarantee a club making second qualifying round tie for the first time, while three other ties will see the winners at least equal their best Vase run – Retford FC versus Appleby Frodingham, AFC Aldermaston v Bristol Telephones and St Day v Stoke Gabriel and Torbay Police.
Twenty-three ties involve clubs that have met in FA Vase before, but Stafford Town v Tividale FC is the only one to have occurred more than once before. They have one win apiece in their past Vase meetings.
And talking of grudge matches, Southern Combination side Pagham FC have had to wait 49 years for the opportunity to avenge a 7-0 defeat by Newport (IOW) – the longest of any side in the competition.
So, the first of ten rounds on the Road to Wembley starts here with the four Finals Day contenders contesting Non-League’s most prestigious prizes under the arch on Sunday May 17, 2026.
It’s an occasion to savour and a fitting finale to two much-loved competitions which grow in stature year on year.
Start your engines, it promises to be a bumpy ride.

A few words about KitAid
KitAid is a charity set up by, Derrick Williams MBE, who visited Tanzania on a WaterAid supporters’ trip in 1998. Derrick, being a mad footie fan, was amazed at the reception he received from children and adults in remote villages just because he was wearing one of his favourite football shirts (he follows Watford, Liverpool and Chesham Utd).
After two weeks in Tanzania, a flame was lit in Derrick’s heart, and he was on a mission to provide kit and equipment to the bare-footed children playing with footballs made of tied string and plastic bags. Twenty-one years on, KitAid has lots of volunteers and to date we’ve sent out 900,000+ kits to children and adults in 55 different countries across the world.
How to donate
If you’d like to support the KitAid cause, the easiest way to donate your unwanted football kit, in order for us to find it a new home.
Alternatively, if you don’t have any unwanted kit, but would still like to support us, we’re very grateful for any donations which will help to fund our annual costs as well as support other partnership charities where possible.
We thank you for all your support.
In working in some of the most under-privileged countries around the world, The Football Association is no stranger to seeing the impact the donation of something as simple as a shirt or a pair of shorts can make. KitAid has brought an enormous amount of pleasure and enjoyment to young and old alike through the gift of football kit and has shared the spirit of British clubs and the England team with communities in all corners of the globe. We are proud to be associated with KitAid and wish them all the best in their endeavours for the years to come.
