We're targeting discrimination in football. Can you help?

We are taking a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination in football. We’re calling on clubs and leagues like your own to report hate, prejudice or discrimination whenever you see it or hear it. For those people who behave in a racist, sexist or homophobic way, the message is clear. Enough is Enough. When we know it has happened, we can take the actions needed to remove discriminatory behaviour. We'll be doing so through a range of punishments: • Players will be removed from play and suspended. • Teams can have points deducted. • Grounds can be closed for repeat offenders. Together we can end hate in football. Spread the word that discrimination of all forms will be punished. Share with your welfare officers, league and club officials, and everyone across your league and clubs. We want everyone across grassroots football to know...

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. TELL US, WE’LL TACKLE IT.

Chairmans report – Christmas 2023 Season 23/24 seemed to start in a flash this year after finishing the previous quite late due to our success in the St Mary’s Cup. The first half of this season has been very difficult off the pitch but, on the pitch, we have been lucky to witness some great football. Before I talk about football, I must mention the tough start to September that everyone at the club had to go through. The worst thing happened when we sadly lost Dean Bradford, our club Secretary, very suddenly. Whilst arriving at an away game in Shefford, I was told the devastating news about Dean, and this turned out to be one of the hardest days as my role as Chairman but also as Dean’s friend. The club came together during this tough time for each other but also for Dean’s family. Dean we will remember you fondly and you will always be in our hearts.

On the Pitch For the first time in 7/8 seasons the club decided to run a Development side for this season, allowing players to take the step from the Under 18s into the men’s game and then into the first team. This was a new venture for many of us but was going to be exciting as we started the new season. The first team started training early as normal and pushed on into Pre-Season games. A lot of old faces were back, and we welcomed a few new ones also. Pre-season went well with 5 out of 7 wins and scoring quite a few goals made us look very much forward to the start of the season. The lads had a mix bag from August to October, winning just as many games as we lost, with a little visit to Walthamstow in the FA where we were very unlucky not to win, although the scoreline would suggest different. Middle of October rolls round and we push on with 6 games unbeaten only to fall at the hurdle against Harpenden. Next up we faced a difficult couple of games against a very good MK Irish and a hardworking physical FC Romania, coming out with 4 points out of the 6 available. The weather has since got the better of us but as Christmas rolls around, we have some very local games to look out including Dunstable, Colney Heath, Crawley Green and Tring Athletic. The First team are currently sitting in a very respectable 4th place for the first half of the season which keeps us all very excited for the next 4 months ahead. The Development Team stepped straight into the Herts County league Premier Division for their first season at Leverstock. A big step but one we all grabbed with both hands. It’s been a very up and down start to the season for the lads and the management team, as we unfortunately had to make a change in management mid-way through as we bought in the new management team of Andy Murray and Steve Newing. The Development teams’ results have been varied over the first half of the season, but they have been able to show their abilities. We’ve played very well against some of the top sides, just narrowly losing out to Belstone just before Christmas in a 2-1 defeat and winning important games to hopefully keep pushing us above that line. I’m excited to see what this team builds on for the remainder of the season. The Under 18’s have also had a very varied start to the season with results not showing the effort and abilities that this group of players have between them. We started this season with a new Management team in Aaron, Dan Renton and Dan Sadler which introduced players from last season’s EJA U16 team and some remaining players from the season before. A highlight for all the lads I’m sure was the brilliant away win at Barnet which was so well deserved with the performance of the season so far. They are such a great bunch of players and I’m very much looking forward to seeing the second half of the season and seeing where these lads will end up.

Off the Pitch Off the pitch work is never ending as normal and this year was no different. We worked hard to finish some summer jobs around the club and the grounds team worked incredibly hard to get the pitch ready in a very short space of time. We started off the season in the same way as we left last with regards to the Officers and welcomed a few new faces to the committee, making the committee the largest it has been in about 7 years. It’s a pleasure to welcome new committee members and allow them to see why we all do what we do. A thank you to Lords again for signing up for another season with us as our main club Sponsor, providing all the kits for the first team and under 18s. We also welcomed Condell’s who come on as the Sponsors for the Development Team, thank you again for all your support. A huge thank you to all the sponsors that have come on board this year with board signs, donations, and package deals, we are so grateful for your support. A massive thank you to the Management teams, Players, Officers and Committee members for their hard work and effort as always, allowing the club to push forward in the way we all believe it can. The Supporters for watching us in the sunshine, cold, wind and rain and supporting all the teams equally. The Bar and Tea Bar staff for all your hard work and to the backroom staff, I thank you. I’m very excited to see the remainder of this season with opportunities for Leverstock to progress further than before, changes going on to the facilities and changes in the backroom staff, stay with us as we all go through these exciting times. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Your Chairman Emma

New pay box thanks to Tony and Steve.

https://kitaid.net A few words about KitAid KitAid is a charity set up by, Derrick Williams MBE, who visited Tanzania on a WaterAid supporters’ trip in 1998. Derrick, being a mad footie fan, was amazed at the reception he received from children and adults in remote villages just because he was wearing one of his favourite football shirts (he follows Watford, Liverpool and Chesham Utd). After two weeks in Tanzania, a flame was lit in Derrick’s heart, and he was on a mission to provide kit and equipment to the bare-footed children playing with footballs made of tied string and plastic bags. Twenty-one years on, KitAid has lots of volunteers and to date we’ve sent out 900,000+ kits to children and adults in 55 different countries across the world.

How to donate

If you’d like to support the KitAid cause, the easiest way to donate your unwanted football kit, in order for us to find it a new home. Alternatively, if you don’t have any unwanted kit, but would still like to support us, we’re very grateful for any donations which will help to fund our annual costs as well as support other partnership charities where possible. We thank you for all your support.

In working in some of the most under-privileged countries around the world, The Football Association is no stranger to seeing the impact the donation of something as simple as a shirt or a pair of shorts can make. KitAid has brought an enormous amount of pleasure and enjoyment to young and old alike through the gift of football kit and has shared the spirit of British clubs and the England team with communities in all corners of the globe. We are proud to be associated with KitAid and wish them all the best in their endeavours for the years to come. Jane Bateman, Head of International Relations, The Football Association

Colney Heath History

The “Magpies” were founded in 1907 and played their early football in the Hatfield District League and, after the 1st World War, joined the Mid Herts League, where the 3rd team played until recently. Earlier records indicate the winning of a Harcourt Cup but in is believed that this was Junior football some 18 month earlier, 1905-6. Earlier matches were played on two grounds in Coursers Road (the Meadow and the Warren). Success was a long time coming - 1935-36 and was disrupted by the 2nd World War. The golden era of football came from 1946 through to 1960 when the club won the Mid Herts Benevolent Shield twice, the Bingham Cox Cup, Division 1 and Premier Division titles. In 1952 the switch was made from Fuzzen Field to the Recreation Ground and into the Herts County League. Division Two was won at the first attempt and success continued with two Playing Fields Cups, the Aubrey Cup twice, Division 1 and Premier titles. This culminated over the Easter weekend in 1960 with the Herts Intermediate Cup and Aubrey Cup double. The Reserve side also completed a double in 1958 winning both Cup and League. In 1965-66, 1968-69 and 1975-76 saw relegations and a slip down to Division 3. Promotions in 1979-80, 1983-84 and 198586 saw a return to the Premier Division after a 20-year gap only to be relegated back immediately. Odd trophies were picked up in the 60’s 70’s and 80’s but these were pretty barren years on the field. In August 1988 while modernising the building, the club burnt down. Without a clubhouse, the Magpies, playing from a Portacabin, regained entry to the Premier Division winning the Division 1 title. A new clubhouse was built in 1989 and an extension added in 1993, along with post and rails. Floodlights were erected in February 2000. South Midlands football eluded the club with 3rd, 3rd, 4th, 4th finishes from 1994 - 1998, when second place would have been enough. Centenary Trophies back-to-back and another Aubrey Cup were won but the Herts County title only came in 1999/2000, when coming from 15 points behind in January to win by 10 points from rivals, Wormley. The club’s ambition was to gain Premier Division status and with-it FA Cup entry. Finishes of 5th 3rd 5th 6th and 5th were not enough in the initial seasons, despite numerous semi-final appearances and consecutive Charity Cup successes in season .(2001/2 and 2002/3) The South Midland Reserve Challenge trophy was collected in 2004/5.The First Division title eventually came in 2005/6. With this came the Premier Division and the FA Cup. We had 15 happy seasons and steadily improving picking up the Premier Division Cup in 2010/11 with a 2-0 win against Leverstock Green. Our FA Vase run of 2013/14 saw us to a 3rd round replay which we followed up by being thrown out of the competition in 2014/15 which was a troubled season with many managerial changes. Our last few seasons have continued with changes for the better with Ryan ‘Tomo’ Thompson installing a togetherness across the club and an FA Cup run that may take some beating in future years and the little reward of second and third Charity Shield wins in 2017-18 and 2018-19. Our aim of promotion was achieved by a FA restructure with the appropriate fencing and turnstiles for step 4. We only stayed one year being relegated back to the SSML .With the support of local authorities and sponsors we hope to continue to make the small village proud for many years to come. As with all clubs, the Heath - or the Magpies - as they are more commonly known now, had its own breed of characters throughout the years. The pre-war sides would have been drawn from entirely local players. Sides would have featured an Allen, a Franklin, or a Littlechild. In recent times a Whitehead or an Eames. The most well-known club man of yesteryear was the manager around the War Years who later went on to hold positions in The County League and Herts FA whom he served for many loyal years. This was Jesse Saywell. In the olden days it was eleven players and the manager, where a Committee picked the side. Assisting off the field were Messrs Pickett, Archer, Kiff and Costain. C S Kiff ‘Charlie’ later became Secretary of the club and the Mid Herts League producing the League Centenary brochure in 1993. Players of this time included Roy Turner who went on to

Barnet and Jimmy Whiting and Dickie Last who went on to St Albans, then both top amateur sides in the Country. Last and Whiting both returned in the 70’s. They helped to win the trophies of the 50’s. Many players of the sixties were drawn away to the emerging London Colney and latterly Selby but had their roots and early times for the Magpies of this period. The foes of these years were North Mymms, Redbourn, Markyate and of course London Colney. During the emergence of Sunday ‘factory’ football of the sixties the club slipped down the reconstituted County League. Con Patient had a few years at the helm where he had an up-and-coming star in Ian ‘Grumpy’ Whitehead. Grumpy went on to captain both St Albans and Stevenage and later returned to manage for a year in the early 90’s. Another of Con’s stars was Tony Chapman, who must have had the longest throw ever. It is alleged that Tony injured himself slipping in the Marble Halls at Highbury when he was with the other Magpies, Newcastle! Geoff Blundell along with Jim Eames dragged the sides along after this with the assistance for a short period (6 games) of Ronnie Dukes. He was the famous City manager at the time of the Torquay United FA Cup tie. Torquay complained that they had no soap, so Ronnie took a case along for the replay. Malcolm Waller a centre forward under Geoff Blundell had a spell leading the side of mainly Hatfield boys during the 80’s. Geoff did provide us with the ‘legend’ who served us well before departing to play for and later manage Hertford. ‘Lege is of course Dave Whitehead. Dave scored over 200 goals for Hertford before moving to Potters Bar and then back home, where he continued to score goals until breaking a leg in 2002. Tony Draper then had a spell before the most successful side of the late 80’s was managed by Ian Yule, who plucked stars from all over the place. He was a successful Sunday League manager but still ended getting the sack after failing to produce the goods with his aging allstars in the Premier Division of the County League. Laird Budge (Spurs kit man) and Dave Lawrence ex City and Bishops Stortford skipper in their Trophy days had a spell before the club turned to ex Watford Coventry and Irish International, Pat Morrissey. Pat’s first job was to save the club from relegation. He kept the side up on a goal difference of one goal on the last day of the season back in 1993, at then Champions Sandridge, after being 15 points adrift at Xmas after taking over from Frank Patrick. Pat was unable to fulfil the promotion dream but did bring Cup success with Centenary Trophies and a Charity Cup. ‘Grumpy’ had a year then Pat returned from Hemel leaving us with ‘Shag’ Jeggo. Pat is sadly no longer with us. Darren, to give (Shag) his correct name did not really possess stars, other than Welsh International Malcolm Allen and a talented group of Stevenage Trainees but kept us there or thereabouts in a plan to get us further up the ladder, both on and off the field. He introduced the club to ‘Sven’ O’Vell and since then between them the Aubrey Cup and the Championship, along with successful youth teams have provided us with what you have today. Geoff, like Pat gave us Cup successes and got us very close to the position we felt we ought to be in but handed the reins to Craig ‘Jonno’ Johnstone to pursue the grail. Craig almost single handily fulfilled this dream in 2005/6 after an amazing unbeaten run of 18 league games (including 14 straight wins at the start of the season) that carried us to our first Senior South Midlands title. The title winning season saw us score 106 league goals conceding only 27, with 26 wins, 3 draws and 3 defeats. Going into our second Centenary having come a long, long way. The FA Vase was a regular feature; we had improved our league position to a best ever 3rd in 2013/14. We also won the Premier Cup in.2011. The managerial pair of ex-Magpie players, Scott Lacey (102 club goals) and Wesley Awad called it a day and we hoped to continue the pattern with Kevin Cooper and Glenn Draper. However, despite their best efforts and an indifferent start we had to turn to the experienced local ex-pro Gary Phillips. In the past he had donned the gloves for Barnet before managing at Aylesbury, Hemel Hempstead and Grays before taking time out to refresh himself at the Rec. After a few months the ‘professional lure’ of a coaching position at League 2 Stevenage proved too much for him (and latterly Crystal Palace) and so we found ourselves with a Parry / Beels combo. Glen played over 250 games for Cheshunt before a caretaker spell gave him the whiff of a manager’s office and Mark was a former number one at Broxbourne Borough who actually won a Challenge Trophy success at Colney Heath over London Colney in 2010. This didn’t last long for personal reasons! Wes returned with Matt Chalkley a year later to give our best finish and another first. A Herts Charity Shield with a 2-1 win at Letchworth against St Margaretsbury.

The 2014/5 season was a bit of a nightmare. Great expectations ended with 4 managers and expulsion from the F.A.Vase (and subsequently the following two FA Cup entries) but a creditable runners up spot in the Premier Cup where we lost on penalties to Berkhamsted. The search for managers led us to a loss of an entire team twice in a season and the ones who did remain loyal went at the start of the following season. A new management team headed by Steve Rolfe with a new team then struggled to come to terms with the rigours of step 5 football. We saw the experience of Micky Nathan added and we stayed up on the last day of the season ironically at Broxbourne. 20th was our lowest table position. So onward and upward we were back in the Vase for 2016-17. Micky was retained as manager with support from Mark Royal and Pete Waller and like previous generations wanted to make his mark but at the end of November 2016 he was relieved of his duties after a series of heavy defeats and replaced by Ryan ‘Tomo’ Thompson with assistance from Tony ‘Kavs’ Kavanagh. This change saw us stay up in 18th place and the hope of continuing forward. A 10th place finish followed and was climaxed by a return to the FA Cup and a best ever FA Cup performance going out in a 2nd Qualifying Round Replay at Burgess Hill Town after wins against Tring Athletic, Shortwood United and Cockfosters. The seasons highlight was the addition of our second Charity Shield with a win over Welwyn Garden City at Hemel Hempstead by 2-0. With the fruit of the under 18’s being pushed forward and the re-establishing of the Reserves in the County League Premier Division it is believed we can go on to a brighter future as we forward. .In 2018-19 a finish coming 6th and an unbeaten 11 match run culminating with the retention of the Herts Charity Shield with a 1-0 win over Berkhamsted. We took that run forward to see where it led. That run was indeed taken forward with an undefeated run of seven league wins at the start of the 2019-20 season and it continued in an amazing undefeated run of home games which stretched to over a year. Games in hand over Tring Athletic were caught up and with continuing success in both the Premier Division Cup and the Herts Charity Shield we looked forward to the possible of a treble. The Leagues top scorer Jon Clements along with the League’s meanest defence were a possible 11 games from history. A Semi Final against Leighton Town (with the winners playing either Leverstock Green or Newport Pagnell Town) in the Premier Cup was up for grabs and we were already waiting for London Colney to play Ware Town in the Herts Charity Shield Final. We did become only the second side ever to reach three consecutive finals. Cheshunt did back in the mid 1950’s, but only won one out of three. That brings us back to the Spartan South Midland League Premier Division. Team of the month twice, top discipline side three times and top overall, top of the league for four months with a 6-point league and a game in hand and the world is hit by the worst pandemic for over 100 years. As at the time of writing, over 4 million people had died worldwide from Covid 19 Coronavirus, (nearly 130,000) from the UK including the SSML secretary, Mike Appleby. What is clear is that people and health is more important than football, but I can only write with the respect of the history of Colney Heath Football Club. The decision to null and void the seasons 2019-20 and 2020-21 and at a very late stage use points per game (ppg) over the two seasons and a restructure at all levels of the non-league pyramid enabled us to be promoted to Step 4. The Southern League Central Division One in 2021-22. Proved a step to soon. Relegated back to the Spartan League but it was closer than it appears. We were also bundled out of the FA Trophy so it’s back to the Vase. Ryan Thompson packed up a month too late maybe not quite giving Ant Burns enough time to turn it around. A poor start to 2022-23 saw Ant replaced by George Georgiou. This however, despite staying up on the last game of the season was not what we had been promised. For Season 2023-24 we turned to Matt Day (a former Under 23 manager under Tommo) along with assistant from Sandridge Tommy Burns. Youth is back in the forefront as we try to climb back toward the comfortable regions of Step 5 Football and all facets of the club. We are well out mask time and it is still hoped that when the Saywell’s, Kiff’s, ‘silver fox’ Morrissey, Shag Jeggo and the numerous Littlechild’s look down on us they approve of what they started and what continues today. After all, it’s still only a game!

Alan Lee Reporting Sawbridgeworth Town 1 Leverstock Green 3 Leverstock Green consolidated their position of fourth place in the SSML Premier Division as they came back from the trip to bottom side Sawbridgeworth Town with all three points on Saturday. It wasn’t the prettiest of performances, but in a game which saw four penalties awarded Leverstock netted two of their three to complete their first league double of the season. It was a bright start for the Leverstock side as they took the lead in the third minute of the game. Ryan Carruthers made a run from his own half before playing the ball out wide to Rawn Seale, who’s cross found Radu-Mihai Stefanoaica in the box. Stefanoaica had to twist and turn past a defender but eventually got his shot away and fired past keeper Jack Ryan to open the scoring. Stefanoaica had a chance of a second in the 30th minute when he was through on goal, but Ryan saved and the rebound just eluded Luke Beckwith. Three minutes later a great pass from Seale put Stefanoaica through again but he couldn’t get past the last defender to get a shot in. In the 39th minute Stefanoaica turned provider as he squared for Seale, who hit a first time shot but Ryan turned it over the bar with his feet. There had been little threat against the Leverstock goal up to now, but three minutes before half time the home team had a chance with a free kick inches outside the penalty area. However, the Leverstock wall did its job and blocked the shot. Sawbridgeworth had been close to getting a penalty there, and in first half stoppage time they were awarded a penalty which seemed to be very harsh as there appeared to be no contact against the attacking player. Kyron Mitchell netted the spot kick to send the sides into the break level at 1-1. Ten minutes into the second half a pass from Carruthers put Seale through on goal and clear of the last defender. Seale tried to take the ball round Ryan but was brought down by the keeper’s challenge. The referee awarded the second penalty of the game, but Leverstock failed to take advantage as Stefanoaica’s shot came back off the post. In the 63rd minute Seale was on the wrong end of another challenge from Ryan as he was clattered in mid-air while going up for a header inside the box. Ryan was red carded for serious foul play and the referee awarded the third penalty of the game. This time it was Dan Pett who stepped up to take the kick, and Pett made no mistake as he put Leverstock back in front at 2-1. Leverstock continued to enjoy the bulk of possession against the home side who were now reduced to ten men. In the 75th minute Ethan Mooney made a run into the box but was sent sprawling by a late tackle from Wesley Santos, and for the fourth time in the game the referee pointed to the penalty spot. Stefanoaica wanted to make up for his earlier miss, so he took responsibility again, and this time his penalty found the net for his second goal of the game and Leverstock’s third. That was the last meaningful action of the game as Leverstock saw out the win with no late drama and collected another crucial three points. Step 4 and Step Flay Offs 2023/24 Season The Clubs finishing in the bottom two places in each of the eight divisions at Step 4 at the end of the Regular Season will be relegated and placed in a feeder pool and placed in the most geographically appropriate division at Step 5 for the following Playing Season. Clubs relegated for finishing in the bottom two places in each of the eight divisions at Step 4 will be replaced by the Clubs finishing in 1st position in each of the sixteen divisions at Step 5 together with a further 16 Clubs (one Club from each of the sixteen divisions at Step 5) determined by a series of Play Off Matches. Where a Club finishes in 1st position but does not meet the minimum criteria for promotion to the next Step (which shall include being awarded a Grade 5 following an independent ground grading inspection), the Club finishing in 2nd position shall be promoted and the Club finishing in 3rd position (and so on) shall be the Club in the next eligible position to take part in the Play Off Matches. Where a Club finishes in a Play Off Position but does not meet the Criteria for participation in Play Off Matches, the Club finishing in the next eligible position shall take part in the Play Off Matches. The ties will be played on a single match basis with the home Club being the Club with the best points per match ratio in the Regular Season. If there are only three eligible Clubs, then the highest placed eligible Club shall receive a bye and play the winner of the other Play Off Match, and the winner of that match will be promoted. Clubs finishing below 7th position will not be eligible to take part in Play Off Matches. The promoted Clubs will be placed in a feeder pool and placed in the most geographically appropriate division at Step 4 for the following Playing Season. In addition, a Club promoted to Step 4 shall comply with the Licencing System provision as set out in Appendix 1 to the Standardised Rules.

Alan Lee Reporting Leverstock Green 1 Potton United 1

Leverstock Green had to settle for a point from their home game against Potton United in the SSML Premier Division on Saturday. Leverstock dominated the first half and had enough chances to have built a comfortable lead, but they could only find the net once, and a spirited comeback by Potton in the second half saw them equalise and come away with a deserved point.

This game was the only SSML Premier Division fixture to go ahead on a grass pitch on Saturday, with all others falling due to frozen pitches. The Pancake Lane pitch was in superb condition, with the intermittent fog during the afternoon causing more problems than the freezing temperatures. Leverstock went close to going in front in the 5th minute with a Rio Beach shot from the edge of the box going just wide. The goal arrived in the 10th minute. A corner was headed away, but only as far as Dan Pett, who hit a shot through a crowd of players that took a deflection and beat keeper James Hoskins. There should have been a second goal in the 13th minute when a cross from Ethan Mooney found Luke Beckwith at the far post, but Beckwith’s shot was cleared off the line by a defender. A minute later a cross from Beach went through to Pett at the far post but came to him too quickly to get a controlled shot away, and it went wide. In the 18th minute a pass from Radu-Mihai Stefanoaica put Rawn Seale through on goal, but his shot was saved by Hoskins, who denied Leverstock again in the 27th minute by tipping a shot from Stefanoaica over the bar. In the 37th minute Stefanoaica made a solo run into the box but again he could not beat Hoskins, who turned the shot wide. From the resulting corner a header from Ryan Carruthers was headed off the line by a defender. The slender nature of the Leverstock lead was shown in the 42nd minute as Potton went close to equalising with their first chance. James Smith got on the end of a free kick with a header that hit the bar. The second half was played in difficult conditions as the fog made it hard to see from one side of the pitch to the other. Leverstock were unable to produce the same free-flowing football they had played in the first half, and the Potton defence stepped up a gear to limit their chances. Potton levelled the scores in the 63rd minute, with Smith coming in unmarked to head home a corner. The remainder of the game was evenly contested with Potton often looking the more likely to score, although Josh Bowler did not have a serious save to make. Nat Connolly had Leverstock’s best effort of the half in the 77th minute but his shot went just wide. Leverstock should have had a penalty for handball deep into stoppage time, but the referee waved away the protests, and the game ended soon after as a 1-1 draw. Leverstock Green (1) 1 (Pett 10) 1. Development & U18’s Team News Leverstock Green Development registered their first win since the appointment of Andy Murray as manager as they travelled to Baldock Town Reserves and came away with the three points. Two goals from Jamie McIntosh were enough for a 2-0 win. It was a bad day at the office for Leverstock Green Development, who were 3-1 down at half time and 6-1 down at full time to Oracle Components. Manager Andy Murray described it as “a spanking”. Leverstock Green Development put in a great effort against unbeaten league leaders Belstone in Saturday’s HSCL Premier Division fixture. There were several new signings in the squad, including Evripidis Grigoriou, on loan from Barnet, and his goal had the Leverstock side leading 1-0 at half time. However, Belstone struck back in the second half and eventually won the game 2-1 with a last-minute goal. The Development Team registered their fourth win of the season as they overcame local rivals Colney Heath Reserves at the Lords Builders Merchants Stadium on Saturday. Two goals from Callum Moore midway through the first half, the second from the penalty spot, established a 2-0 lead which was held until Colney pulled a goal back deep into stoppage time at the end of the game.

The under-18s registered their third league win of the season on Thursday night, an impressive 30 result against Aylesbury Vale Dynamos at the Lords Builders Merchants Stadium. Shay Kelly scored the opening goal in first half stoppage time, while Jamie McIntosh (76) and Luc Dischamps (82) added further goals in the second half. The under-18s moved into the last 16 of the Brian Hitchings Cup with a 4-1 win at Crawley Green in Tuesday night’s Second Round tie. Connor McGinty opened the scoring in the 27th minute, and Jamie McIntosh added a second six minutes later. The hosts pulled a goal back after half time, but McIntosh struck again in the 76th and 8th minutes to complete his hat-trick and a 4-1 win.
