History a

What I Remember Most... Throughout the past five seasons of Madonna volleyball, I have made many memories that will last forever. Here are some of the ones that stick out in my mind… •The 6 hour van ride through Colorado - those were great signs Spoon!! •The TRACK workout…thinking I was done after my fourth one, but then having to do it again •Our preseason 20 minute jogs •The power outage during preseason •Coach's famous phrases: "Be fast and furious!" like the movie Becci, "Tosado!" - burrito, enchila da, tostada, "Bump! Pass! Spike!", "Hit the ball Natalja!" - "I'm in the back row Coach…" •Me and Natalja having conversations at the net "Who's gonna get the set?" •Our pregame dance - RIDE THAT PONY (great idea Caryn!) - the best was at Nationals…running up the stairs and outside - "Was that guy on the phone?" •Coach D's stories, emails, and famous line, "No one cares if you're tired!!!" •Coldstone is right around the corner, right Becci and Jacqui??? •Me and Natalja's pregame tradition…slam the Red Bull!!! •Dressing up the freshman •Fartleks and our 'mini-track' •Where do you want to eat? Wendy's it is! •All the middle work - it was fun Caryn!! (And Spoon and P) •The St. Pete Beach, FL trips - especially the walks down the beach, "Look at the moon!", and the team gatherings •Cornerstone…30 - 5 in regionals?!?!?! •NATIONALS!!! •FINAL FOUR TWICE!!! The list of memories could go on forever!!! Now I'd like to thank all of the people who have supported me throughout these years. Lynn and Trevor, it may seem like your help and support go unnoticed, but it doesn't and I thank you. Brian, all of your work, support, and dedication to our program make us look and feel like the championship team we are. Thank you for always listening to me, being there if I needed a favor, and being there if I needed a shoulder to quickly cry on. Most of all, it's a good thing you were in that other college's gym that day five years ago and talked to me. You brought me into a great program! Cagle, I always enjoyed having you at practices and games for your constant care and support. If not for some of your very kind comments, I may have fallen apart as a player. Sara, thank you for working my back into shape. It was quite a struggle for me, but you kept pushing. I wouldn't have gotten back on the court if not for you! All of the parents and family members that were always there, (you know who you are), thank you for constantly supporting our team and our program. It is always nice to look in the stands and see caring, encouraging people. Some of the words and letters I was given will never be forgotten. They all mean a lot. The athletic department faculty, thank you for your constant support to our team. It means a lot to have you guys at most of our tourneys, games, and Nationals! Coach D, I would not be the player and coach I am today if not for you. You pushed all of us to be the best we could be. Thank you for all of the extra hours put in on and off the court. You will be missed. Coach A, thank you for a greater, more wonderful college volleyball experience than I ever could have imagined. Year after year you put together a championship team with the desire to constantly get better. I'm grateful that I was able to be a part of this. Thank you for this and all of the other great memories from these past five years. To my parents, I don't know what I would have done without your constant caring, support, and encouragement throughout these years. There are no words to express my thanks for all of the things you have done during the seasons. Coming to (almost) every game, the Gatorade, the Red Bull, and the pre-tourney bagels are just a few of the little things that come to mind. Then of course there were the post-game wrap ups and the family dinners. These are small, simple things, but they will never be forgotten. I love you both very much. I don't know where I'd be without parents like you! To my brothers, although you couldn't come to many games, I know that you both wanted to be there. Thank you for always being there for me - whether a phone call or a chat at the house - it means a lot. I'll save that poem you wrote forever! To the girls in my five years, I will never forget all of the friendships, fun, and championships we have been through. I love you all! Good luck in all you do! Never forget "WE" and like always…"FEU!!!!!!!"

Choosing to play my last three years at Madonna was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Being part of the "Volleyball Family" has been a blast and I would not trade it for a second. I would like to thank all the coaches for all their time and energy they put into us, for making us believe we were the best team out there and pushing us to be just that. Coach Abraham- Thank you for giving me the opportunity to play for you. Coach D- Thank you for making me the player I turned out to be!! Erin- Thank you for all your time and keeping me calm!!! Brian- thank you for all the support! Thank you Mom and Dad for traveling to every game and supporting me through everything I've ever done. I wouldn't have made it without you!! And for my teammates, you girls are the best! My experience here would not have been the same without you! We made so many great memories that will never be forgotten. Here are a few of mine, keep in mind there are many more: •ELVIS!! •Track workouts- of course •Going to the Diamondbacks game and everyone sleeping. •Caryn losing her flip-flops. •Saturday morning runs. •"Let's Go! Let's Go! Let's Go!" - Coach Abraham •The dreaded serve receive with Erin's floaters! •P's Dance Party in the parking lot!!! •Naming all the capitals with Spoon!
