DeAR PRAyINg FRIeNDS oF LAke FoReST RANCh, I believe the Father is inviting hundreds of brothers and sisters in Christ into a summer “prayer force” for LFR for the next two and a half months. Maybe one of those brothers and sisters is yoU! I truly believe that the difference between a good summer and a great summer of camp ministry has to do with how many believers are fervently and consistently praying for us. This prayer calendar is your invitation and guide to pray very specifically for our summer ministry family. The requests are directly from the hearts of our summer staff members to you. each is an urgent appeal to you to ask god to do really big things in and through all of us. our 2017 summer camp theme is “Christ IN you IN Christ.” These two foundational truths in god’s Word unveil to us, as believers, the reality of what happens when a person, through faith, moves from being “in Adam” to being “in Christ.” “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.” 1 Cor. 15:22 NkJV. “In Christ” means we are given life and a brand new identity (2 Cor. 5:17). “Christ in you” means the hope of god’s glory being revealed through our lives becomes possible. he lives in us! (gal. 2:20; Col. 1:27). “To them god willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.” Colossians 1:27-28 (NkJV) 2017 LFR Summer Staff & Families

Gray Gilmore – Marianna, FL – Camp Macon Intern Pray continuously for the hearts of Lake Forest Ranch staffers, future student missionaries, kids and teenagers in Noxubee County and surrounding areas. Please pray alongside me that God will provide all we need to make Camp Macon go as He would have it go and people far from Him would be brought near. Brennan Joy Hight – Flowood, MS – Sunshine Club Leader (2nd Half) Pray that I would grow stronger in my faith this summer and get to know the Lord even more than I do now. Pray that those times I do have would be impactful. Also pray that I am able to build relationships with fellow summer staff members. Also, that I will grow closer to God and point others to Him. Finally, that the campers will see God's love reflected through me. Ella Kendall – Mobile, AL – Sunshine Club Leader (2nd Half) Pray that as I minister specifically to young children that the Lord will give me wisdom when answering questions and explaining new concepts. Ask that He will speak through me instead of me speaking, because I make mistakes, but He makes none! Pray that my eyes and heart are fixed on Jesus, and that I will constantly remember the passion the Father has given me for Noxubee County. And, as always, pray that I would maintain a Kingdom mindset, humbly and passionately serving my God and His church with my entire being. Labor Day Weekend Family Escape September 1-4, 2017: At the 2017 LFR Labor Day Weekend
Family escape there will be many opportunities to be strengthened as a loving, Christ-centered family. It will be an ideal conclusion to summer 2017 with worship, Bible study for each age group of your family, a huge number of recreation options (just like summer camp), family games and crafts and great fellowship with other families who love our Lord Jesus. The retreat begins with supper at 7 pm on Friday, September 1 and ends after breakfast with a final word of inspiration on Labor Day – September 4. Sign up online by going to the LFR website. Teaching our adults/parents Bible study this year will be Dr. Ivan Park. Call the LFR office for more information or to receive a printed brochure. Church Group and Parachurch Group Retreats at LFR After summer camp ends we begin hosting
church/parachurch retreats at LFR. If your church family or parachurch ministry is interested in planning a Family Retreat, youth Retreat, Children’s Retreat, College Student Retreat or Adult Retreat, Lake Forest Ranch is the ideal destination. We are able to take weekend and weekday retreats for all of the non-summer months beginning the first weekend in August. Contact Nick hall at the camp office if you are interested. Lives are changed to the glory of god at LFR every week all year long. Let us serve you in your plans to touch lives for eternal impact.
Your Gift To LFR Please prayerfully consider using the enclosed envelope to help Lake Forest Ranch in one of the following vital ways: Unrestricted Gifts – this helps us keep the cost for camper fees as low as possible; about 8% of the LFR operating budget each year must come from these unrestricted contributions. Campership Gifts – with around 100 campers each summer coming to LFR at a reduced rate or at no cost, the need for this fund is very great. These gifts make an eternal impact too! The kids who receive these camperships have no other possible way to come to camp without our help. And they really do need to be here. Mission Camp Macon – this annual evangelistic mission camp is an outreach to the local community “just down the road” from Lake Forest (including all of Noxubee County). It can only happen through many faithful friends giving and serving to help staff it with “Student Missionaries” and fund it. Lives are being transformed through this important ministry to our county. 2017 will be the 14th consecutive summer for mission camp. We need MCM partners! Capital Improvements – we would really like to continue making some needed improvements to several of our older buildings and equipment before proceeding to our proposed next big project which is to provide much needed improved housing for our year-round staff. We can’t build or renovate without all the wonderful support that we receive from friends like you.

Please pray that during that time my first love will be refreshed and that a new song will settle in my heart and that during Camp Macon my messages and leadership will reflect both that heart and song.
