HOW TO GET THERE
Český Krumlov lies close to the borders of Austria and Germany. The nearest international airports are Prague (180 km), Linz (70 km) and Munich (300 km). The journey from Prague takes about three hours by car. International bus and train routes call at nearby České Budějovice (20 km).
WHERE TO STAY The only five-star hotel in the town is the Hotel Růže, situated in the historic buildings of the former Jesuit college. Other safe bets are the four-star hotels The Old Inn on the main square and the Hotel Bellevue near the castle.
