Student Leadership & Inclusion Clubs

CLASS OFFICERS Available to grades 9-12

Class officers are designed to help keep the class in order running smoothly, they plan and organize annual events for their class and school. They are a voice for their classmates and act as a unified voice for their class. Elected by their peers in the Spring.

STUDENT COUNCIL Available to grades 9-12

Student Council is an organization conducted by students and supervised by adults. The purpose of the student council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership skills by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects.

DISTRIBUTIVE EDUCATION CLUBS OF AMERICA (DECA) Available to grades 9-12

DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. DECA is an association of marketing students that encourages the development of business and leadership skills through academic conferences and competitions.

LINK CREW Available to grades 11-12

Link Crew is a high school transition program that welcomes freshmen to make them feel comfortable throughout the first year of high school. Built on the belief that students can help students succeed, Link Crew trains members of the junior and senior classes to be Link Leaders. Application/selection process happens in the Spring.

INTERACT CLUB Available to grades 9-12

Interact is a club for young people ages 12-18 who want to join together to tackle the issues in their community that they care most about. Interact club members carry out hands-on service projects, make international connections, develop leadership skills, and have fun in the process. STUDENT ATHLETE ADVISORY COUNCIL (SAAC) Available to grades 9-12 Active throughout the year

SAAC is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience. SAAC offers input on the rules, regulations, and policies that affect student-athletes’ competitions. PROM COURT Available to grades 11 Active in the spring

These honorary titles are awarded to students elected in a school-wide vote. The prom king and queen will be announced at the coronation ceremony prior to the dance. If selected for prom court, you will not be eligible for homecoming court as a senior the following year. HOMECOMING COURT Available to grades 12 Active in the fall

These honorary titles are awarded to students elected in a school-wide vote. Homecoming king and queen will be announced at the coronation pep rally Homecoming Friday.

GSA Available to grades 9-12 Gay-Straight Alliances, or GSAs, are student-led and student-organized school clubs that aim to create a safe, welcoming, and accepting school environment for all youth, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

DIVERSITY CLUB Available to grades 9-12 Active throughout the school year

The Diversity Club is for students who are looking to foster a school-wide appreciation for diversity in race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion or ability.
