Trilingual 6th Tallinn Photomonth biennale catalogue comprises information about the main exhibition "Intensive Places" curated by TOK curators, and biennial publiс, satellite and film programs. The biennial is organized by Tallinn Fotokuu and the Estonian Museum of Contemporary Art of Estonia (EKKM). The exhibition is a network of intensive places connected through 13 projects by Estonian and international artists that hold historical, emotional, and architectural significance for the city’s residents. Intensive places allow us to see connections and overlapping between different layers and levels of reality, history, memory and politics. By applying this concept to the setup in Tallinn and wider European and global contexts we aim to present artistic and research practices that help train our political imagination and focus on decoloniality in architecture and urban planning through an intersectional lens, irreversible traces of industrial heritage, and loopholes and vulnerable structures.
