Letter from the LTG

Hi everyone! I hope you all have been having a great Winter break! I’m excited to run the Divisional Election Conference and see who the next LTG of this division will be for the 2024-2025 school year. My goal this month is to assist Belton New Tech to join our division. I’m looking forward to our DCM this month. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me! Enjoy your break!

Updates + Don’t forget to attend the Divisional Election Conference on Wednesday, January 3rd at 5:00PM via Zoom (link will be given in the GroupMe). It’s crucial to vote for your next LTG!

Secretaries and editors, make sure you complete and turn in your assignments by the 5th at 11:59pm of every month unless it's on a Sunday or Holiday!

This month's DCM (Divisional Council Meeting) will be held on December 22 at 7:00PM. Make sure you attend to keep up with updates and learn new information!

+ Intro to LEDCON Every year, our district hosts an annual convention called the Leadership Education District Convention, also known as LEDCON or DCON. LEDCON is an extremely exciting experience as you get to create lasting memories with friends or new people you meet, and you get to learn valuable skills! There are many fun activities and engaging forums. In order to attend LEDCON, fundraising is highly encouraged. This year, the LEDCON theme is Shining in Service! So come dressed as your favorite celebrity or your favorite character from a movie/show!

Preferred Charities UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories to save children's lives, to defend their rights, and to help them fulfil their potential, from early childhood through adolescence.

The thirst project is an organization that aims to provide clean and fresh water to people who need it around the world. Serves 35,000+ people in 13 countries.

+ Service Partners Erika's Lighthouse is a non-profit organization that advocates for good mental health, especially for teenagers. The organization also provides resources to kickstart conversations around mental health.

Schoolhouse was established by Sal Khan, the founder of Khan Academy. It is an organization that provides free online tutoring to students across the world.

Member Benefit Collegewise offers key club members resources for navigating through the college application process, exclusive webinars, and more.

Meet the K-Kids is the largest service organization for elementary school students. Club members discover their passion to serve, desire to lead and their ability to engage and collaborate with others to better the school and community.

Builders Club is the largest service organization for middle school and junior high students. Members learn to work together and develop servantleaders skills as they serve their school and community.

Key Club is a student-led, high school organization. Our members make the world a better place through service.

Our members constantly improve the community by engaging in volunteering.

K-Family Circle K International is the premier collegiate and university community service, leadership development, and friendship organization in the world.

Circle K clubs are organized and sponsored by a Kiwanis club on a college or university campus.

Aktion Club is the only service club for adults with disabilities, with more than 10,000 members worldwide. Club members become competent, capable, caring leaders through the vehicle of service.

Kiwanis International is a global community of clubs, members and partners dedicated to improving the lives of children one community at a time.

Today, Consisting of 550,000+ members from K-Kids to Key Club to Kiwanis and many ages in between in 80 countries and geographic areas.
