TICKHILL TODAY
In a club which caters specifically for retired professional and businessmen it is inevitable that we have occasionally to record the passing of members. We are sad to record the deaths of Derek Bates who had been an active member until a year or two ago, Dennis Jacobs aged 90 who was a founder member of the club, and Ken Hempsall who died unexpectedly during a trip to Australia. We shall miss their company and we offer our sincere condolences to their families. T
YCA at our meeting on June 13th fiftyfive members were present to hear Meryl White talking about Grandma abson’s Traditional Baking. our next meeting will be on Thursday July 11th. when Lynne Carter will come to talk about antique Quilts.
We would like to thank everyone who supported our Afternoon Tea in May when £286 was raised for our Charity. The next fund-raising event will be on Yorkshire Day, August 1st. when a Yorkshire themed Coffee Morning will be held from 10 a.m until 12 noon in the Parish Room. The cost for this will be £3 and there will also be a raffle. Marcia J Lingard [ secretary ]. T
