Very Many Thanks! John Cox 2019-2020 District Director
With the first quarter of our 2019-2020 year over it’s good to reflect on how District 71 is currently doing. We have made a strong start to the year. If you take a look at Daniel’s, Gerard’s and Brenda’s reports later in the newsletter you will see that we have achieved so far: • • • • • •
An increase in member payments Five newly chartered clubs - Manchester Communicators, Stevenage Speakers, Deutsche Bank Dublin Toastmasters, BoI BPZ Toastmasters and Headingley Speakers Several prospective clubs likely to charter very soon A good pipeline of prospective clubs Members have achieved around 200 Pathways and 200 Traditional Programme awards 23 newly Distinguished Toastmasters
VERY MANY THANKS to all our various officers and members for giving us a strong start, but we mustn’t rest on our laurels. We need to continue to strive to: • • •
Grow and retain members Encourage all of our members to gain at least one education award this year Enhance club quality and the guest and member experience
