Making ceramic objects by hand is a non-commercial hobby she has undertaken for many years. This book is a record of some pieces cre ated in recent years.
Below: ‘Discard & Reclaim’ relates to the habit of oyster consumption and its counterpart of discarded shells. Using unwanted scraps of porcelain some additonal ‘shells’ were produced with Raku firing and were displayed as a discarded heap on the sideboard in the Dining Room at Hopetoun House. They created a counterpoint to the the beautiful antique Meissen Oyster servery. Giving the discarded a place .
