From my initial exposure to architecture during high school, my passion for the discipline has remained steadfast. I find immense satisfaction in crafting artistic projects that serve as a means of self-expression, while concurrently refining essential skills such as leadership, collaboration, composure under pressure, and adept problem-solving throughout my architectural education journey. My overarching aspiration is to evolve into a versatile and accomplished architect, driven by the accumulation of diverse experiences within the field.

URBAN DESIGN PROJECT
Our architectural studio focuses on enhancing the Illustrative Master Plan for Broadway East urban design. Our task involves shaping detailed plans centered on green spaces, mixed-use housing, and seamless commercial integration. Avoiding surface parking lots, we cater to diverse finances and lifestyles. Prioritizing green infrastructure, we aim to reduce environmental impact, enhance urban connectivity, ensure safe pedestrian access, and tackle community needs like food deserts. This project’s core is meticulous planning for a dynamic, inclusive, and sustainable urban environment.

RED SUMMIT: BRIDGE OF VOICES
Place
Program 1 Park Site Plan
The 1970s marked the construction of the Highway to Nowhere, which connected many freeways (I-70, 83, 95). But at what cost? The state authorities considered the growing black neighborhood through which this freeway was built dangerous. Due to a lack of financing and opposition from the community, the project was never completed, leaving Baltimore with the Highway to Nowhere. Situated in Baltimore, Maryland, along the Highway to Nowhere, this project required the studio to create a protest site for a specific target audience that has some connection to the Highway to Nowhere region and the city of Baltimore.
My design focus is on this affected community. I am likely designing with the intention of raising awareness of their experiences, acknowledging their struggles, and potentially advocating for their rights and the acknowledgment of the historical injustice they endured. My design may also aim to address the long-lasting emotional and social repercussions of forced relocation, seeking to provide support or healing for those who carry this burden in their hearts.

The study abroad trip to Amsterdam and Rotterdam was a surreal experience. The stunning architecture and beautiful environment made it an ideal setting for capturing amazing photos. Every moment seemed deserving of a picture. I had the opportunity to photograph these amazing places and create memories that will last a lifetime in both my mind and my camera roll during my time in the Dutch culture.
