YE MYSTIC KREWE OF GASPARILLA CORONATION BALL Notch another ring in the Ferman and Farrior royal family trees. King Rex the 104th is the son of the 60th King J. Rex Farrior Jr., and brother of 96th King Preston Farrior. Fourth-generation royal Queen Laura Elizabeth Straske is the daughter of Queen Gasparilla the 78th Janice Ferman Straske, granddaughter of 74th King Jim Ferman Jr., and great-granddaughter of 47th King Jim Ferman Sr. Grandfather Paul Straske has been a pirate for exactly 50 years. The sports-themed coronation drew 1,000plus to the Tampa Convention Center on Feb. 25.
