Robber hits banks

new set of eyes is analysing serious crime incidents happening in the eastern suburbs, including a recent spate of bank robberies, after a role swap. Counties Manukau East CIB (criminal investigation branch) head, detective senior sergeant Darrell Harpur, recently exchanged titles with Counties Manukau Police’s head of adult sexual assault, detective senior sergeant Kevin Tiernan. Mr Tiernan and his team are now investigating a series of bank robberies occurring in just over a week, where in all cases an unarmed man entered a bank demanding cash from staff. ASB in Botany Junction was robbed last Monday, Kiwibank in Otara on Monday, and BNZ in Manukau on Tuesday. As a result, Mr Tiernan is urging bank staff and the public to
