Bongioanni The Crono 334 press is suitable for high outputs of large-format roof tiles with high shaping pressures. Based on more than half a century of experience in the design and construction of roof tile presses, all components of the press feature the best technical solutions in terms of robustness, reliability and maintenance. Main technical features: • A completely integral patented special Aubert-Duval steel cam (vacuum cast, forged and NC machined) supplied exclusively by Bongioanni. A special thermal treatment guarantees the hardness necessary to withstand the high loads, and a final grinding operation gives it its unique profile specially designed to shape each different type of tile. • Camshaft bearings with conical sleeves mounted on bushings located on the sides of the press. • Large and sturdy electrowelded steel structure. Designed to withstand high-pressure loads, it works together with a compressor that slides on low friction guides and has a large lubrication-free contact surface. This assures a high degree of mechanical stability, making it possible to mould tiles of extremely high quality, even in the presence of asymmetric profiles.

• A drum with integral shaft made of electrowelded steel and aluminium alloy plates (for customising mould fixing). It is supported by 2 adjustable roller bearings and 2 axial ball bearings for lateral thrusts. • Extensively-tested mechanical synchronization of movements. The star driving gear for drum rotation is equipped with six cast iron and six bronze wear sectors. • Drum blocking by means of double hydraulic brake. • High-efficiency completely mechanical trimming head holding device. Vertical pickup and release of the tile for high trimming precision. Trimming head holding device with cams to adapt to various production requirements. • Trimming head holding device which combines the simplicity of the connecting rod/crank mechanism with a helical gear mechanism to achieve smooth, quiet operation. • Centralised lubrication with continuous-operation electric pump and recovery system. • Guards and compressor block compliant with UNI EN 953 and related standards. • On demand: customised upper mould supporting plates; mechanical or

hydraulic locking available on both the compressor and drum. • Aluminium alloy drum-mounted plates customised according to the type of lower mould used by the customer. • The machine is covered by the following patents: No. 0847849 for speed variation, with pressure law cam profile variation. Nos. 10139161; 01-15630; 2 208 036 for upper roller unit. No. 1752269 for 4-element mobile mechanical trimmer head.
