WHEN FAMILY COMES TO VISIT At some point, you will have to become a guide to Brno for your family and friends. Gather the necessary equipment, and show them the best Brno has to offer. Start at the Tourist Information Centre on Radnická street. Your visitors can buy their souvenirs whilst you pick up the necessities: firstly, a Gourmet brochure which is full of reviews of the best pubs/bars/ restaurants and cafés in Brno. At first, your visitors would be all up for tasting some traditional Czech food. For that, Stopkova pivnice would serve well. When they’ve had a taste of some fatty pork and heavy dumplings, you can show your visitors the gastronomy Brno is proud of. Reach out to Gourmet for help. Secondly, pick up a “Brno – Guide to the city” brochure that contains two suggested routes through the city: follow one with your family on their first day, and send them to explore the second on their own on that afternoon you’ll need a break from each other. Or join a guided tour: book a spot through ticbrno.cz or just show up for Brno Free Walking Tour. For more ideas for trips, don’t hesitate to visit gotobrno.cz.
