General Information

We are pleased to present this information document regarding the 29th edition of the Amsterdam Career Days (ACD). The extensive track-record of the ACD makes what we have been able to develop ourselves into the prestigious and professional event that we currently are. With over 80 companies featured in this year’s edition, we can proudly say that the ACD is the largest recruitment event in Amsterdam, and one of the biggest in the Netherlands. The ACD is organised by 8 students from the study associations Aureus (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) and Sefa (University of Amsterdam).

• The 29th edition of the ACD takes place from the 4th until the 8th of March 2024. The event will be held at the Hotel Casa in Amsterdam.

• The dress code for the ACD event is business formal.

• For your first ACD activity please be at least 25 minutes early. Before the event, you will receive an email with a QR code, which you will have to show at the registration desk to receive a name tag and your personal key card

• Be 15 minutes early for on-site activities and 30 minutes early for external ones.

Before the Event

ARRIVAL TO CASA BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

We kindly encourage you to come by public transport. Hotel Casa (Eerste Ringdijkstraat 4, 1097 BC Amsterdam) is very close to the Amstelstation, so if you are coming by public transport you can walk from the Amstelstation to the hotel. The walking route from Amstelstation to hotel Casa is as followed:

Before the event, you will receive an email with a QR code, which you will have to show at the registration desk to receive a name tag and your personal key card.

During the Event

ARRIVAL AND PERSONAL KEY CARD

Once you arrive at the Hotel Casa, please go to the registration desk, where you will be greated by the ACD team. There you will show your QR code received before the event and receive a name tag and a personal key card, which will be linked to your account and allow you to enter the activities.

COMPANY FAIR

The company fair will be hosted at the Hotel Casa in the Erasmus Room from 12.00-15.00.

ROOMS

All the rooms are located at the Hotel Casa (even if they are called UvA or Erasmus rooms).

EXTERNAL ACTIVITIES

For the external activities, we will gather at the Hotel CASA 30 minutes before the activity. You will then walk/ travel by public transport to the external location accompanied by one of our colleagues and the company representatives. If you cannot make it to the Hotel CASA before the activity and can only come directly to the location, please inform us on info@acd.nu.

DRESS CODE

The dress code for the ACD event is business formal.

DEREGISTRATION AND CANCELLATION POLICY

ACD cancellation policy:

- If you cancel an activity more than 48 hours in advance, then you will not receive a fine.

- If you cancel within 48 hours before the activity, you will receive a fine of 20 euros.

- If you do not cancel and do not show up to the activity, you will receive a fine of 25 euros.

Cancellation policy applies to all CV and NON-CV selective activities (including the presentations and main partner drinks), except the company fair.

How to deregister more than 48 hours before an activity? If you want to deregister more than 48 hours before an activity, you can do so by loggin into the ACD website, then clicking ‘my acd’, then ‘my activities’ and selecting the activity that you want to deregister from.

How to deregister within 48 hours before an activity? If you want to deregister within 48 hours before an activity, you can do so emailing info@acd.nu the activity that you want to deregister from. In this case, we will note your details for a cancellation fee.

We hope that your experience at the Amsterdam Career Days will be meaningful and successful. Afterwards, we would appreciate your feedback on the event. This is very important to us as it helps us to continuously improve our event. The feedback form will be shared via email.
