It was said that the carp spirit was terrified by this light and did not kill anyone after that particular day. Another way in which the festival is celebrated is by watching a lion dance parade. On this day, at night, children dressed as lions and other characters visit each house asking for their permission to show the lion dance. Children, teenagers, and whosoever participate in this activity receive some “lucky” money as a sign of gratitude from the families. The dance is accompanied by the sounds of drums, music and dozens of lions(not real).
