Detective Stories Written by Students in 4B

These stories have been written throughout the quarter. Each student used all the steps in the writing process. Several hours during the quarter were used to revise and edit. Many students took advantage of these opportunities and used their time wisely. Enjoy these creative stories that integrate English and Science.

THE MYSTERY OF THE BLACK WITCH Alejandro H. I don’t remember all the story that my stepfather told me in 1749, but I remember the beginning of the story, it starts like this. In 1716 the uncle of my stepfather was investigating a case, with his old partner Blackwood. After a few years Blackwood have enough money to buy a lot of things. My stepfather uncle was Watson, but he preferred to call him Dr.Watson. Whatever, another detective was in scientific alliance, but this alliance due to their experiments were too risky so every week, month, year or evenly a day, some allies of this group die. This alliance know the periodic table very much, and the basic elements that they use were: Magnesium, Potassium and Aluminum, but they also rob every year to the mathematical James Moriaty. Well, one day the police enter to the house of Watson in Paris to arrest Blackwood, because of killing people with black magic. Watson was worried because with no help he couldn’t answer all the cases, so he want to be in the scientific alliance.

When Watson went to the scientific place, a dusty man entered to the apartment 21 of Baker Street and when the man was going up stairs he fell down. Watson wanted to help him but before he was getting inside the man said to him see you up stairs and the man start to run to the room. When Watson entered the room the man look completely different and he introduce himself, my name is Sherlock Holmes I am part of a scientific alliance. Watson ask him, are you a detective? Yes, and I am investigating a man that just entered jail in Paris and… Before he continue to telling me a man of the alliance said to him that there was an explosion because someone had put the magnesium and potassium in the same glass and the fire appeared….. Blind, It could not happened that said the man he was using special glasses. Maybe someone has blind him said Holmes. In that moment a man yell, I have been robed!

OLD FRIEND

Holmes told Watson to stay in his house until he come back. Watson did it so he was in his living room, standing in front of the book shell seeing if he can’t distract himself reading something. Holmes had his book shell very disorganized, some books of science were in

the math some books of explorations were with animals books , the only books that were in the same place were the ones of James Moriaty. So Watson decide to take a book of Moriaty the dynamic of an asteroid, but when Watson pulled the book to read it a strange sound come from the kitchen, and he so a secret room but this one was a laboratory.

Watson enter and he so to a big glass that say! Hydrogen watch out! Before he opened a man enter from the dark of this room and Watson yell! Blackwood you were the one that rob Moriaty! Of course Watson, but you can’t stop me and going to make an explosion with Hydrogen in this moment so is better that you run with Sir Holmes your new best friend, and I am doing this because one thing, what Watson ask, revenge said Blackwood.

THIS METHOD

When Holmes enter hen so that all his house was in a complete mess, so he tell his partner to check the upstairs floor and that he will check the one that is down. Holmes will not dude that Watson could found his secret laboratory so Holmes go very fast and pull the book he can’t believe what happened in there, someone has kill Watson all this laboratory was in fire. Holmes have no hope to look for Watson until he heard a yell! Save me, that sound come from the laboratory so Holmes go in there. He so Watson, and he getting outside.

THE REAL STORY

with a crocodile and they fusioned and she was called Luisa the killercrock and she started to kill and destroy everything and everyone.

But one day the army and the government tried to kill her but she destroyed all of them and she ran away so they called Sherlock Holmes to search for her and he deduced that a crocodile had attacked them in a

radioactive plant, that the crocodile escaped, and that Gollum was spying them. After that they discovered that Luisa had evolved to a baby Godzilla. A day after she evolved to a giant Godzilla, she putted eggs and she feed them after that they born and control the world but after a Godzilla´s size atomic bomb the few humans that survived grow giantly

and throw fire and they destroyed all the Godzillas except for one but after that the Godzilla started to put eggs in different places and Gollum started to eat them but when Gollum died the humans had to find the eggs, otherwise they Will grow and control the world again. So Sherlock Holmes started to deduce where the eggs were but he didn’t knew so Luisa the

killer crock arrived and say that she could use her mighty and horrible nose to find the eggs and destroy them so they traveled the world and destroy the eggs. But there was a letter from……………….

Sherlock Holmes in his jacket it was written recently because the ink was wet but the letter said that he died but they still needed to search Luisa.

After that Sherlock appeared and took his jacket and go apparently to his house but when they could no longer see hem he turned and go search Luisa she’s killer-crock half personality woke up and destroyed the city so Sherlock Holmes was in a hurry so he decided to call the police that was in the nest of the eggs but they arrived too late because when they arrived there

was no city just ruins but they found Sherlock Holmes scared so they putted Sherlock Holmes in the helicopter and they chased Luisa that was on the sea trying to destroy the world and return the godsillas to their control of the world. The police mans throw fire from their mouths trying to burn the ocean but they knew that it won’t work so they tried to shoot Luisa

and they killed her and lived happy for ever, or not it doesn’t mater.

Hi my name is Camilo isaza I have 2 sons the little one is called James and the other is called Michael, my wife is Sarah.

One day in 4088 in august 24 a robber called Nicolas and best recognized as n.d.c he don’t like to work and one day he go into to work of the elements of the periodic table and I all the time I speech of him am called spurs dolled and my partner Mr.jeam.at September 23 the hydrogen is despaired and I can said that the robber is will be Nicolas dim collar.

At the other day the police called me and I start to search clues in the scene of the crime I went to the house of Nicolas. Nicolas looked at me with his sharp, keen eyes and greeted me with a smile. He seemed relaxed with his long bunny body stretched out on his favorite old sofa while I ask some questions like what he was doing the last September 23. Then I gave the notes that I got to the police. And the police to do me that when they find the robber they are going to give me a very good reward.so much money all the money that I can buy a glove of iron and tis iron cannot rust on any option. And I will to save with a lot of elements to make steel I love the steel it is my favorite element because when it oxide it turns a yellow. Is like orange yellow combined with red. But the bad news is that the police don’t found

the robber doom. but in the last day the police found the robber and I have the money I don’t buy an glove of iron I buy a super system to the laboratory that is the man rob an element it is condemned all the live. So in that day in adamant all was so sure in the laboratory and in the planet and today am I a trill nary and I not a detective am the owner of the systems of security in almost all the united states, so I have a very good moral because if I will be shellfish I buy the glove, but not, I buy the security system. Today I have the money of 1098 gloves of iron so I learn to invest the money.

He investigate about mercury but he do not understand what the man take mercury. The next day Nicolas go to uranium factory and a scientist give him a special gun

that detects everything like mercury The next day Nicolas visit her friend polo the best friend of Nicolas ups say Nicolas. He watering a potion of dynamite and

all the laboratory explode. The man did said Nicolas they put together an element radioactive and produce an explosion but the man return and do another explosion, booooom another exploding of the man. We go to a zoo to get information and be funny for minutes. We see seals, snakes ,whales, and many things but when we see the snake the man that steal mercury was there we get closer but when we get closer he broke the glass of the snake and all people began to run. The next day whe sleep and go to

bought one I buy a

sniper with sleep darts and polo buy a revolver we go to the

man location that is in his house with the chemical element mercury the man escape we run to get him but he is so fast we get a car and get him to the jail but he trick us he put a toy like him and escape from the window. We go to the laboratory

and eat the lunch is pork and a delicious beef we said to everyone that if they see this man call me or my friend polo.

The next day we got a call from Mr.goilo is a man that have a family with little boys he said I see the man running all this morning to give an element to his chief and steal all elements

to create a mechanical machine. We invent a character of

mercury is an element that when we are sick they put a thermometer to see how hot you are. We put mercury in a man

and transforms in a mercury man is very dangerous because is poisonous Nicolas and polo go to the astronomy lab they see titanium. The titanium is an element that have 22 protons and electrons. Is like dangerous but is not more dangerous like

other elements like the noble gases. Nicolas and polo go to a place called Orlando and first we went to Orlando and 2; to Mongolia we see TV and go to sleep. In 12 o’clock the alarm songs we went outside and and is a spider

The next day we go to a place secret that is in Mongolia they

say that the fishes have mercury.

First the factories and mines throw mercury to the

ocean, 2: the krill eat the mercury, 3: the salmon eat the krill and have more mercury, 4: then the tuna eat the salmon and have mercury, 5: the last the shark eat the tuna and humans eat fish and get

mercury in her body.

One day we wake up and we saw in the TV that is a robber in Mongolia in the bank of boron and sodium the man robber

more elements and more but he don’t now that we have traps in everywhere also lasers but he escape and go to California to take hydrogen and helium we go to California and he already robber he is going to give all the elements to her chief to

create a machine that is going to destroy all he wants also me and polo but my other friend Marco stop the machine and save the world because that machine is going to explode all things.

The next day we go to play billiard with a couple of persons.

When my father dies inherit me and all he have goes to me. The

next day I decide to go to Vegas to take little vacation to rest.

When I got 20 years old I buy a house to rest all day and founding very good cases to resolve and be happy all my life being detective.

The end of the story mercury.

One day, in a town a boy saw Sherlock Holmes solving a case and then said I like. Then he went to the house of a man to go talk to the parents of what the boy said is that he wanted to be a researcher in all the life (35 years ago).A friend and are very good friends of all his life. They both are researcher and the names are Jack and Nicolas. Nicolas said I have a case to solve a case in Spain that there are three thieves of diamonds. We go to Spain to solve the case of the carbon. Jack went to a factory of radioactive carbon and became in a man that can convert in a diamond man and a “mine” man and that is benefits to solve the case that Nicolas decide to go and Jack is thinking if it going to go to Spain. Jack decide to go but can’t go in the plane and think he can convert in normal man I am going to try to convert in a normal man. Jack can convert in a normal man to go in the plane to Spain.

Jack convert when decide to convert in the moment that need to covert. Nicolas is waiting for Jack in the airport to go the hotel of five stars. The other day the bank is robbed and Jack and Nicolas go to investigate the case of the bank. In the bank is a gun and Nicolas have a Fingerprint detector and the gun and has a fingerprint of a sought of Spain that robbed bank to have money, jack is going to convert.

Jack went to an alley to convert in carbon to go to fight in Spain chase hit the footprint and the footprint go to abandoned house that has all the carbon that is stolen of the same thief that Sherlock Holmes arrested then he knew how to be a detective but I think that go to the shell all the live. Then he said” I escape from the shell”. I am not alone and then a thief hit me in the head. Then I am with chains in the arms and then they do like 10 questions of how I found this house and I said whit a footprint that lead to this house and the same footprint that is in the bank, then he got out a smoke grenade and the called the police officers to come and arrest the 10 thieves. Then they went back to their house.

Then he found fire in the house of Jack and the fire is with fault and not accidental.

THE MURDER IN THE TRAIN AND THE MISTERY OF THE MISSED ALUMINUM Juan Daniel C. One day Sherlock was going to go to his house when he look to the train station. A train was going to France he buy some tickets and he go with Watson they look that some mans were caring. Some aluminum to France when they were in a tunnel and the lights turn off. The police mans were dead and the aluminum was lost. He looked every were but he didn’t find anything when he was walking he see a piece of aluminum in the floor he went to the room and he find a dead police with a gun he check his suit and he have piece of aluminum that he have in his hand.

Sherlock see that he have some carbon in the suit he went with Watson to the train engine and ask to the train driver if he have seen someone walking around there. He said that now when Sherlock was going to the restaurant he fin some little pieces of aluminum in his plate so he go to ask some questions to the chef but he didn’t know anything. He went and ask a question to the train guard Sherlock asked if anyone carry a gun but he said that no one except from you and me so they kept searching till Sherlock had an idea he ho to look at the policeman suits and a suit didn’t have the gun and the knife He investigate and find some plutonium in the train so he heard a strange voice said you never solve this case because before I will kill you so a man ,made of metal and plutonium appear and took Watson and kill him so he fight with Sherlock and when the train was going thru o lake the man made of plutonium and aluminum took a knife and throw it to Sherlock it Sherlock got hurt but he still fighting till the aluminum plutonium man take the knife throw it to another man for distracting Sherlock and wen Sherlock go to help the man the plutonium aluminum take a part and throw it to a part of the train and it explode and then he take a drop of plutonium and make that Sherlock touch it Sherlock get burn a part of his arm and then the plutonium and aluminum man hurt him with a sword and burn him alive.

The police man come to help but all of them die when the army help some other nuclear mutants get to help the plutonium metal man then they had a bloody fight but the nuclear man’s won they take all Europe and make more of them then they take all of the humans and make them servants but there was some people who didn’t like that so they make a war between them so they fight and kill all the world was in danger of them so they make a secret military gun made of all the nuclear elements they so they make a secret military gun made of all the nuclear elements they throw it to Europe and destroy all when the world think that the y won they appear on Oceania and killed everyone there the world were in trouble they throw the second missile to Oceania and destroy it they do it until the finished the continent Asia so the elements went America

They had a bloody war but the humanity won and the world get saved by the intelligence of the Scientifics

Chapter 1: The kidnapped element .

One day in the Periodic City, a little atom, Hydrogen, was walking by the Reactive period, and it found it-self in Carbon´s house, he heard a crying, he entered and found him holding an electron. Hydrogen asked him what happened, Carbon answered “My sister disappeared.

After several minutes of crying, Carbon said… “She has 11 electrons” said holding one electron that was lying on the floor. “She is Sodium, very hyperactive, and loves the countryside.” Carbon gave Hydrogen a picture of Sodium.

She was an older atom, about 35 years old she was married with Silicon, who disappeared when The Halogen Band threw a bomb that made an explosion on the Westminster palace.

“I can find him” Hydrogen said.

Carbon continued crying, and minutes later, Hydrogen took Carbon to his house an ordered to stay there, “Carbon - Hydrogen said-, I need to inspect your house without you… May I? He asked”-“Of course” Carbon said.

Chapter 2: The Halogen band.

At six´o clock, Hydrogen began its investigation. Was a rainy night at The Periodic City, every single atom was with an umbrella. All atoms were entering to their houses. When Hydrogen arrived to Carbon´s house he went upstairs, he cross the hallway and he found himself in Sodium’s bedroom. It was cold and dark, when he turned on the light he found some strange things.

In the floor down the bed there was a kind of secret gate, which Hydrogen inspected, he also found a little powder, and when he smelled it, he fainted. When he woke up he found it was Chlorine-faint power, used by The Halogen Band. After these he inspected the secret gate. Inside there was a little house which had an announcement saying: The Halogen Band. There was also a tunnel that conduced to the direction of the center, where all atoms where going to celebrate New Year the next day. When he went out of the tunnel he found that there was an atom in the end of the hallway. He was big, about, Hydrogen was silent so he tried to catch the atom, but that atom was very attractive so the only thing he could do was to stay in the bedroom a couple of minutes. After a half an hour, Hydrogen was save, he thought the atom was a Halogen so he ran into the living room, and he was wright, he saw a piece of paper saying…“We know who you are … The Halogen Band”…

Chapter 3: The deadly tunnel.

At the next morning, Hydrogen took a police man, named Neon and he also took Carbon with him. After hours of walking, all of them found themselves below the center of Periodic City.

The hole below the center there was a big whole with red columns connected to a kind of tower. “Its dynamite” Carbon said. For Hydrogen these was illogical, because Halogens used reactive atoms to explode the Periodic Table. After seconds of fear, they heard an atom yelling… HELP! The three atoms were searching for a signal, just then Carbon noticed a jail in the middle of the dynamite columns. There was him, Sodium. She was holding a ring, and after him was Silicon. Carbon was crying, and Neon had to take Carbon some periods away. Hydrogen asked to Sodium what had happened. Sodium answered “It had 17 electrons” He put a powder on my nose and I fainted.

Then he took one electron from me and he took me to these place. It was horrible. Just then Hydrogen found the jail was made of galleon. “Call my two brothers an Oxygen, Hydrogen ordered to Neon.

While the atoms arrived, Hydrogen inspected Sodium´s nose. He found the same Chlorine-faint powder. And the only atom who can produce these substance was Chlorine.

Minutes later, all of the atoms arrived and, they formed a water molecule, which melted the jail letting Sodium and Silicon free. “Let’s go outside” Hydrogen said. We have to stop a catastrophe.

Chapter 4: New Year´s Eve. It was 11:44 and all the team was running throe the tunnel. And when they arrived to the center it was too late… it was 11:59.30 and the dispositive to activate the bomb was moving to the top… But Neon flew throe the sky and stopped the dispositive just in time, but then, a voice told all the city... Periodic City the “bomb” you supposed to deactivate was a trick, I have in my power 100 Unupetiums, who are going to disintegrate all the Periodic Table, and only the Halogen Band will survive.

Just then all the Alkali Metals arrived and searched for the Unupetiums. When they founded them, they interacted with them saving the lives of every single atom in The Periodic Table.

Chapter 5: The god of elements…

That night, Hydrogen, Carbon, Neon, Sodium, and the Major, Zink, celebrated a new year in the history. But Hydrogen was confused, that Halogen outsmarted him. He seemed very confused. After having dinner in the mayoralty, Hydrogen went to the church of the fallen atoms. There, in the middle, was a big statue of Hydrogen´s mother. She died because she stopped The Halogen Band and they killed her. The statue was a picture of a gas floating into heaven. She died at January the 1rst at 2:00 a.m. She died because the Halogens filled her with electrons and she disintegrated. Hydrogen was scared thinking he will be the next. Behind the statue was the god of all atoms: THE CHEMIST. He hold on its hands two jails with diseased atoms inside. On its feet he had a bunch of careless smashed atoms, who were the atoms that tried to explode the periodic table. At 5:00 a.m., atoms where in the streets singing the periodic hymn of the Periodic Table: In period and groups is divided, all atoms are unique, we love our Periodic Table, no-one can destroy it…

We need to live in elements, which we are so much. So Dmitry organized us, while he has pacing on his room…

After hours of songs and dancing atoms builded a monument in memory to Hydrogen, who was very happy.

Chapter 6: The end of The Halogen Band...Until now.

The next morning, all Halogens were detained and send to a high-security jail. All the city said thanks to Hydrogen, which went back to home. That night a Halogen escaped from prison, and the next rainy day, Hydrogen found on its table these message:

There are five atoms. The first was Beryllium… he died, next was Gold… he died, after him Plutonium… he died, the next Iron… he died, next was Sodium… you didn’t let mi kill him, so these is my revenge…You are next…

One day on Venice at 2003 on sunny day at autumn I was with no good mood. I AM a man tall, black hair, brown eyes and I like a lot sports. Me John Gouges decided to visit my best friend and assistant as a detective and also expert on chemistry, no one beats him in chemistry also in math he can round any number. well, so when I got to his house, he seemed very worried so I asked him:?why are you so worried?.its a new case” he said” ”and what happened””well “my friend started “here in Venice a formula that contained a beauty gem and a new element that is only found 120 km underground or on Colombia at the Amazonas, so it was stolen from a lab in Paris “ then I said “ but what it contains that is so important” “ well my friend “ he said “it contains a new element found called EROKILO that its also mixed with HYDROGEN,MERCURIUM,and,BORON, all that in only one element¡”” then I answered “ what are we

waiting for, lets go “then he answered “ its not so easy my friend, we first need a plan for resolve this case.There saying that the guard of the lab that it was robbed knew the password and stole it and ruined here to Venice as fast as possible. “then I said “why he would like an element for something “then a stranger rushed into the door. He was a tall man with black hair and looked very educated like a president of something important, also seemed very worried. After being quiet for at least five seconds then he said “mr.Delin. I have a problem.Im the president of the lab that lost the element. My name is OSAN GLOVER. The cameras recorded that a man about forty years old with a hood and with the jar that contained the element. Please Mr.DELIN, you are the only one that can help me and the only good detective I know” then my pal said”Mr.Glover I wouldn’t miss this case even I would be a baby. I will meet you in the hotel five galaxies at five blocks from here, at 3:05 this afternoon “the the man said” thank you mr delin I don’t know how I will pay you” then the man left with a big smile in his face.Jhon I will ask you do not talk me “said my friend. After a half a hour he jumped from his sofa and said”Mr.Gosgos, would you mind to accompany me to the hotel Five Galaxies to meet Mr.Glover the president of the lab that was robbed?”

When we were at the Hotel we saw Osan and when he saw us, he said”Mr.Delin I have good and bad news.

Which you want to hear first” ”The bad ones “said my pal.Then Osan answered”Well the bad ones are is that I know who robbed the element.It was the guard of the lab named Giampaolo Meeazza aka bouncy.

He lives in a street close here named gruel at the house number 12.”then I said” but that is a good new so what is the good one” ”the good one is better “said Osan”is that he is in Russia for a couple of days so we can investigate his house” Ones we were inside the house we saw so much rob things . there was a Japanese armor by the fire and a sable of China above the armor. After a couple of hours investigating the house we left.Osan to the Hotel MARRIOT and my friend and I to our house by the river. The next morning I waked up like at 4:50 at the morning I wasn’t sleepy so I started to reflect about this case, I thought that: if we go to Russia and capture him with the element,no.wait, how did Osan knew that he was going to Russia and the house wasn’t locked and how he entered with no problem and …..then the bell rang, it waked up my friend and it put me on alert and when we opened the door he was a little man probably he was 1.50 tall and probably weight like 57 kilos and was like he was dehydrated and if he was lost in the Sahara. Then he said” I am….am the…..guard of the lab “it seemed strange and he talked with pauses. But when my pal heard that he was the guard he let him in gave him food, water, and whisky with konoac.THEN he said”now I can talk well “then he continued” I was doing the guard as usual but I heard that the place were was the element was….was robbed so I entered and saw footsteps and followed them but then I was attacked by the same Giammpaolo Meeaza the president of the lab, he says that his name is Osan but is not true. Well he attacked me and closed me into a closet.I was 1 week there and escaped and came here to Venice and to tell you what happened. The only thing I know is that He will take a plane at half night to San Petersburg and he is with the element. “then I said” so lets go to the airport”. When we were there we waited for Giampaolo in the waiting room for entering the plane.Then my friend asked”so which is your name? “then he said”it’s a long name but I am called Hydrogen danny ujoi meleden they put me Hydrogen because am little “then we saw “Osan” and then Hydrogen said “return the element and you will go to jail “then my friend said “so it seems you were not intelligent and let us find out you robbed the element “he was going to punch my friend but the police stopped him and arrest him and tolled him he was going to spend 49 years in jail He thought it was a dream and was almost crying and said “me I didn’t did nothing “Hydrogen said “so if you didn’t did nothing why you have a new element in the hand and you escape from the police with a false

name “then “Osan”said”Alright,you captured me and by the way sorry Danny now im not a good friend is that I said it was you for winning some time for escaping. So , I robbed the element because I need it for giving it to my kid. She is very sick and she is going to die and that element can cure her “is that true” I said.

Then Osan said “well not true what I said, my family is in Moscow so we were going to meet in San Petersburg for throwing a nuclear bomb from the highest building of that city.That element can be radioactive so I will throw that bomb and destroy half of Europe. “but why”? said Hydrogen. Then Osan said “well ha-ha I wanted to be a villan of those stories “well no more explications, instead of 49 years……….you will have life imprisorment”said the boss of the police.
