Lifestyle | The Zimsimplied *Be kind and generous* * Always be kind and generous, for everyone is fighting a battle and the world operates better on kindness and generosity. Set out to help others but if you can't help them then at least don't hurt them. * There is nothing to be gained from being bitter, nasty, horrible and spiteful to others. If you feel the need to be vicious towards others then that says a lot more about you that it does about others. Genuine acts of kindness will get you far. * Follow Your Passion: It's no good doing things that you don't like. Chose actions that appeal to you and are in line with your values. * Pick people to help you that you like being around. Make sure you're following your heart while not running from the hard issues. Become a Master in the Art of Living where people can't tell if you're working or playing because, to you, you're always doing both! *Take care of the body* * It's so easy to get caught up in the daily grind of life, but it's imperative to remember the important aspects of life. It's all about the little things, like going out on a walk in the park for fresh air, spending time with a best friend, picking up the phone to call a sibling. * Growing is a holistic process, so don't just focus on your feelings. You need to make sure that you're engaging in a whole body, mind, and spiritual practice for the maximum benefit. * Find an appropriate diet and exercise regimen that works for your body so that it can support all of the work you're doing elsewhere in your life. Similarly, make sure that you continue to expand your mind. * Your mind is a tool that needs to be worked in order to function at a high level, and reading is one of the easiest ways to keep those gears oiled and ready to perform. *Learn new skills/get help* * Learning doesn't end when you finish school. Learning is a lifelong journey. Take up a new hobby, or a new sport. This is where most people fall short the I know it all attitude is the easiest route to the pit hole of stag nation. * There's nothing wrong with being vulnerable in front of another person. It's not possible to continue maximum self growth without working with a professional, so if you're serious about self improvement, then you need to overcome your resistance and pride. * You can gain from the success of other people and you can learn from their mistakes. Your own experience is a harsh teacher so learn from the mistakes of others. If you can find a mentor or coach your task will be easier. Read as many books as you can

. * If you can't afford to buy books or don't want to spend the money borrow them from the library or do what I did when I was homeless… I would hang out in the bookstore, read as much as I could from a book, remember the page number I was on and then the next day go back and finish. *Be happy & generous* * It sounds like the simplest advice one could ever give, but it's so true. Be happy! Life is far too short to live in misery. See the positives and don't dwell on the negatives. Self development is not selfish. * When you take charge of your own life, you're not only improving yourself, you're transforming your relationships and becoming a better parent, partner, and professional. * If you want to experience genuine happiness, develop authentic confidence, and be the best possible version of yourself, then start the never-ending journey of self growth.
