ou can do it – Just Start Entrepreneurship is a hereditary for the Motsi family impacted by their mother who is the typical hustler and business guru. This aspect did not fall far from the children and this week's edition TZS decided to show one of the brains behind Motsi Media and Graphics. She is an entrepreneur by heart this has led to the starting of Motsi media and its tributary companies which are Queen Concepts , Drop in the Ocean Production and this magazine The ZIM Simplified. She is in charge of running Queen concepts and is the story creative back bone for drop in the ocean as she has written a couple of stories soon to be dropped as movies.

So, you can do it just start. A snick pick in (PAIN, TEARS AND BLOOD) one of the stories she wrote under the theme Gender Based Violence and Sexual Exploitation of women.

People did not know l was being abused l always pretended that everything was ok but my life was full of misery, pain, tears and blood. My mother had started a business for me so that l can take ca re of my family l had a shop now and had purcha sed a car which Andy took over saying cars are n ot meant for women. When l got back home l was welcomed with a trail of clothes leading up to our bedroom my heart broke so he had brought her again to my house. I lost it l wanted to end it all. LET IT ALL BURN, l heard a little voice in me tell me this. LET IT ALL BURN!!! LET IT ALL BURN. The next thing l opened the gas tank and l waited for the gas to fill out the house l was almost choking and l opened one of his smoking lighters he come out coughing trying to figure out where the gas was coming from and l throw the lighter into the kitchen fire started l shouted LET IT ALL BURN.

he 16th of June every year Africans joined together with the rest of the world comme morates African Child Day (DAC) rooting from JUNE 16, 1976 student uprising in Soweto, South Africa against apartheid ins pired education This year’s theme for DAC,

. the adoption of the charter:accelerate “30 years after the implementation of Agenda 2040 for an Africa fit for children”.Tracing it back to its originality forwar -ding to the present day in changing, shaping childre -n’s lives for the better African child we can reveal this sources.“On the 16 June 1976 in Soweto, South Africa, thousands of black school children took to the streets to protest about the inferior quality of their education and to demand their right to be taught in their own language. Hundreds of them were shot down; and in the two weeks of protest that followed, more than a hundred people were killed and more than a thousand injured. To honour their courage and in memory of those killed, in 1991 the organisation of African Unity (now AU) established the day of the African child”.

“An investigation by US newspaper Newsday in December 1976 concluded that 332 had died in Soweto and more than 435 nationally. The Times paper later estimated more than 700 had died in the chain reaction of violence over the year.The uprising triggered a long and often – violent confrontation between black protests and the white South African government. It had a lasting impact and arguably played a significant role in sowing the seeds of democracy in South Africa. International sympathy strengthened the anti-apartheid campaign and attempts by white minority rulers to clamp down on the protest movements were met with increasing resistance. In 1990 Nelson Mandela and other political detainees were released from prison 1994 South Africa’s first democratic elections saw Mandela elected the country’s first black President”.

JUNE 16, 1976- in Soweto, South Africa ten thousands black school children march more than half a mile long, protesting the poor quality of their education and demanding their right to be taught their own language.

17 years later, 1993 Standards Introduced, the Southern and Eastern Africa consortium for monitoring Educatio nal quality is founded to develop standards for quality education on the continent. 2002, Oprah starts a school; Oprah Winfrey launches the Oprah Winfrey leadership Academy for girls in South Africa. Universal Education, the United Nations calls for Universal public primary education for every child in Africa.

There is a proverb which says, if you educate a woman you educate the whole nation. Education is embraced in African continent to develop the African nations, to eradicate dilemmas of child marriages. The first Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa through her Angle of Hope foundation are helping quite number of children vulner able to education such as orphans and those affected by poverty. Through this organization educational material, tuition fees are paid to these disadvantaged. Other organisations and donors are helping a lot as education and basic commodities are concerned such as UNICEF and other related NGOs. Through the named organizations awareness campaigns against child abuse, child marriages, gender based violence and rape are conducted. Children are equipped through workshops and other programs are adopted into educational syllabubs to eradicate these unhealthy and evil practices. Since Africa is diversified with different cultural beliefs which attempts to child marriage and other unethical practices such as “Kuripa Ngozi”. All these are re-corrected and to report anything to do with the described practices to nearest police.

This year around Day of African Child was celebrated in the dilemma of Covid-19 with closure of schools, affecting world economy and other social functions.

The health sector and nation leaders are advocating people to wear face masks, social distancing and avoid on unnecessary movement.

Soon there comes a man saying to the boy to discourage him “what are you doing, can't you see you're wasting your time since there are thousands upon thousands out of the sea? " The boy simply replied by saying, “one by one as I throw it, I am making a DIFFERENCE sir!" Throwing back one starfish at a time is making a great difference.

This boy had the guts, the nerve and the courage to make it happen.

changed my life Written by | Maud Chikopa A dream will always remain a dream if you do not work towards it. Growing up as a young woman I always wonder will l be able to achieve any goals in life. l always asks for help to overcome life obstacles little did l know that the most people you trust or love can turn you down without realizing it.

Every moment l woke up alone, I tried to reach for help but no one was reachable because of their busy life. Having only one subject (English), I tried to add more but alas it was to no avail. l cried to the extent of sacrificing my life or to become a prostitute but one voice changed my mindset that l still has something to live for. Life pressures taught me that l must stand up and try something. In August 2016 Opportunity came by to work in a saloon.

I did not know anything about saloon or even the requirements. As a strong woman who had face difficult challenges, l told myself am going to do it.

Faith and prayed work best for me and I start learning how to do it. I'm lucky that my boss became my mentor and taught me how to plait. At first since I know nothing about the job, l struggled very hard. The spirit of quitting tried to overcome but my mentor always encourages me that l Will do it. The world is full individuals who want to light the candles to others, my mentor was patient with me in all my learning.

Hard work is was made me stronger and become the best in my duties. As time goes on, l left the saloon and went on became a housemaid and this was as result of conditions l was facing. God brought light to me and being a maid was not profession I wanted in life. I revert back to the saloon business. In my life journey I have learn that true love is precious and take time to find

I meet a guy who deceive to be lover of my love. He broke my heart to the extent that I thought my life is over and at some point, I thought of committing suicide. When God want to change your life, He use people. Thanks to my brother, mentor, prayer partner who strengthen me in my dark times. Because of him, I am a shining star, I am amazing, I am beautiful, I am bold and I am a strong woman. Sometimes our past can drag us backwards. In life I have learn not to base your future with pass.

I have learned that you have the power to define your life what you want to be. I have learned to focus on the future because the past has already been written and we can only change by going forward. I have learned to hustle, to use my two hands. Alignment has long been a tried and tested marketing technique that can also build powerful relationships with others. When you align yourself with another brand or business, you say to both of your audiences, “What matters to one of us matters to both of us. Thus you can attract each other’s potential clients.

Alignment doesn’t have to take place online. For example, if when you shop at your favorite clothes store, you receive a “percentage of” voucher from a diferent store, those two stores are being aligned. The implication is that if you like one store, you will also like the other. As famed marketing expert and bestselling author Seth Godin writes, “Alignment isn’t something you say. It’s something you do.”

Spaeder tells of how fitness entrepreneur Jim Labadie bought a CD course from a well-known entrepreneur in the same industry, named Ryan Lee. When Lee found out that Labadie had taken his course, he saw that Labadie had created some great fitness products, and agreed to promote Labadie’s product to his contact list of personal trainers. Because Lee was better-known in the industry,this alignment with Labadie’s brand resulted in rapid growth for Labadie’s business. Clearly, the investment in the CD course that introduced Labadie to Lee turns out to have been a very worthwhile investment. And it’s not just about coaching diverse characters; it’s about understanding the power of taking bold steps daily, specially risky ones. Yes, especially the no play-zone, it is in there that the greatest and most influential WOMEN are born.

A

1. RECOGNISING YOUR SITUATION Every day we wake up in the morning, knowing what we are going through, re-living the pain, and looking forward to the end of the day because our situation is too much to bear. And so we go through life telling our buddies and workmates how bad our lives have become.

When a situation avails itself for us to take a moment and be happy, we choose, instead, to sit ourselves down and count our predicaments and the heaviness of each.

The difference between them that have conquered & have seemingly made it is that they recognized that they had been here for too long, that they had cried rivers, and lamented enough times. That moment when we realize that no one is coming to be happy on our behalf, no one is going to make it big for us, none is showing up in the horizon to take that bold step for us and certainly no one is willing to trade their joy for our pain. It is then that a new world of possibilities is opened for us to explore.

2. SLAPPING LIMITING BELIEFS IN THE FACE When a door is opened for us to explore new horizons of happiness and other dimensions of the next level in busin ess or relationships, it is not shut. One can begin to hear voice of limitation speaking; ‘We have tried it before, it doesn’t work”. “ In your family no one has reached these heights, you may just fall, so don’t do it”.

“You are not educated enough to run a business of your own, rather seek employment and be assured of a salary every month”. This is where a lot of people’s lives get defined, confined and ultimately buried. When you walk

through that door, choose risk, choose to see and experie nce for yourself. It’s like a sword going through the proc ess of the furnace of fire, once it’s in there, there is no turning back, feels the heat, but hangs in there. And seven times it goes through the same process until it reaches finesse levels. So whenever you feel like this uncharted territory is too hot, choose rather, to see what will happen if you hang n there a little longer.

3. TAKE BOLD STEPS As you begin to come out of your cocoon, TAKE BOLD STEPS,shake of your fear. Fear limits great minds from being discovered, so take a moment, drive to a lone brid ge and scream it out, or go to a pool and swim alone, na ked, look into the mirror and do silly stuf and laugh at yourself. Begin to remember that dream that you had, that business that you wanted to run. What happened?

Start afresh, try it, fail, try again, fail and TRY AGAIN. Go to places where the big fish of society meet, mingle with them. Walk into car sales and ask to test-drive their latest sedan. Be bold. Walk into the most expensive furni ture shop you know and sit on their best masterpiece, tell them you want it a bit more comfortable (and walk away with a smile on your face). Anything to get your groove back!! With each step you will learn new tricks.

The difference is that this time you will not hold back, this time you will work smarter and this time you will definitely make real progress in the real world!

No more fantasies!!

4. AFFIRMATIONS ON STEROIDS Recognize this, only you hold the power to the change you want. What you dream to have is only a mindset away. Becoming what you visualize requires the following steps: + Believing you are worthy to have whatever you want + Working tirelessly towards achieving your dream + Learning to learn (Don’t be stubborn) + Be resolute, make up your mind to succeed no matter what Airm (Agree with yourself that this time everything is going to be alright) Airming is telling yourself that even if it may seem like you do not have what it takes to succeed; you will give it a try anyway. Remembering daily that you are not there yet but it’s ok because you see yourself reaching your destination. In all this remember to live life. Be happy.

Take a walk. Don’t be hard on yourself. You deserve all the finer things of life. How is it that you have made it alive all this while? You are stronger than this. #Because Life is for Living
