imagetext presents photographs within the convention of “readable images” through editorial skill—curating and arranging images from old book pages, inserting (other) photographs, and composing them into a photographic essay that invites both visual and textual reading. This is the latest issue of the photo e-magazine Jamais vu, featuring the photography work of Kornkrit Jianpinidnan. Beyond encouraging “reading” and questioning the shifting status of images in flux, this photo series engages with the material perspective—archival imagery—and the value of transference from a tangible book to a digital file, PDF format, though not physically touchable, is no less thought-provoking and equally worthy of reflection.
