THE YOUTH COMPANY The Youth Company is a grass-rooted organization established in Qatar. We operate as a social enterprise, where we aim to create social value through empowering the youth in an efficient, effective and sustainable manner.
ABOUT TYC & QMA
We have created various educational, community engaging, volunteering, career-oriented, consulting and rewarding programs, which directly and indirectly facilitate the growth and development of youth in different aspects, and thus ensure a long-lasting positive social impact. The Youth Company started its operations in December 2010 and within only one year, it has managed to involve 14 000 students, deliver 16 projects, and cooperate with over 40 companies and organizations. Our programs and services target both youth and professional organizations within the private, public and non-profit sectors, and are aligned with the Qatar National Vision 2030. The YOU-Experience Program outlines youth journey with The Youth Company. It includes following programs, free for youth to participate: YOU-Training Program (three modules covering both soft and hard skills) YOU-Intern Program - internship.qa (internship opportunities in companies in Qatar) YOU-Start Program (youth support and funding program) YOU in Action Program (awareness campaigns and events on social issues along with volunteering opportunities) YOU-Card Program (discount card for youth in Qatar)
QATAR MUSEUMS AUTHORITY Established in 2005 by His Highness the Emir, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani to combine the resources of all museums in the State of Qatar, Qatar Museums Authority (QMA) is a governmental organization whose remit is to develop museums and cultural institutions and provide an effective system for collecting, protecting, preserving and interpreting historic sites, monuments and artifacts. Under the leadership of its Chairperson H.E. Sheikha Al Mayassa, QMA is transforming the State of Qatar into a cultural hub of the Middle East. The Museum of Islamic Art, inaugurated in 2008, is the Authority’s flagship project. The organization won further global acclaim with the December 2010 opening of Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art. QMA’s goal of becoming a “global leader in the world of museums, art and heritage” will be advanced in the coming years with ambitious, world-class projects, including the Jean Nouvel-designed National Museum of Qatar, and a Sports Museum, an active site of sports culture. RUN THE WORLD
“Run The World” (RTW) festival is an initiative of The Youth Company, designed to encourage the youth of Qatar to lead an active, athletic and a healthy lifestyle. The festival also focuses on the personal development of the youth in the country, while adhering to the overall theme of ‘Youth and Sports’. This ten-day festival features RTW Fashion Show, RTW Talk, "Heart Qatar" event, RTW Medical Camp, RTW Comedy Show, "Young Corporate Cup", a three-day Outdoor Festival, TYC Gala Dinner, RTW Photography Competition and "Youth Got Talent" Contest. "Run The World" will take place between the 12th and 22nd of December 2012. This is the second edition of the festival, which took place for the first time in December 2011. "Run The World" Festival aims to: - Host Qatar's national youth festival - Encourage the youth of Qatar to lead an active and healthy lifestyle We are expecting to see youth between 14 and 29 during the festival. However, we will prepare various activities, which will engage families, small children and, basicly, people of all ages and nationalities.

12.12.12 FASHION SHOW “INSPIRING QATAR” “Run The World” festival 2012 is hosting its first fashion show featuring sportswear – Inspiring Qatar. The sports trend in Qatar has taken a massive turn since the Doha Asian Games in 2006. Since then Qatar has been evolving into a regional sports hub, and is currently playing an increasingly prominent and effective role in the athletic field. The Qatar 2022 bid has also been a motivation to the local population’s interest in sports trend. Inspiring Qatar is based on involving the youth of the country to showcase their talent through designing athletic and leisure wear. “Run The World” festival recognizes that fashion is an integral aspect of modern day sports culture. Our designers are young people from different schools and universities around Qatar, and they all share a passion for sports and fashion.
