An abundance of edible plants awaits you in the wild landscape of Compton Verney! Join experienced forager, John Noble on the ultimate local, seasonal foodie hunt around our grounds, and take home some of your findings such as sloes, rosehips and elderberry which can be made into liquors. Gain a greater appreciation of the land and its produce on a relaxing and informative walk. Wildlife Tracking Day 6th October from 10.30am - 4.30pm

Read the signs and clues left by wild animals to work out what creatures have been visiting our woodland. Look for trails, droppings, fur, holes and scratchings to build a picture of what happens in the woods that we don’t see. Also learn how to spot, record and report wildlife crime to help protect our woodland creatures by investigating a crime scene. A fun and exciting day in the woods that will help protect badgers, and their woodland friends. Suitable for older children 10 years plus, teenagers and adults. Tickets £10 Three slots available: 10.30am – 12 noon 12.30pm – 2.00pm 3.00pm – 4.30pm Please note, you will also need a valid day ticket, Membership or Annual Pass.

Glow in the Moonlight for Myton Hospice 2018 Forget indulging in Saturday night TV; brighten up your family’s evening this September by heading to Warwick Castle to get your glow on for The Myton Hospices. On Saturday 15th September, hundreds of neon clad runners will gather at the castle to set off on a 5km route to raise money for The Myton Hospices - why not join them?! Registration for Glow in the Moonlight opens at 7.30pm. Before setting off at 8pm, participants can fill up on flavoursome food provided by a range of food vendors whilst enjoying live music from a selection of talented musicians. Along the route around Warwick Town Centre and St Nicholas’ Park, runners will encounter a number of bright glow zones featuring colourful lanterns, dazzling lights and stimulating dance music. Participants can also expect to be splattered with fluorescent bubbles whilst passing through optional UV bubble zones.
