Blue Stories Project Art Exhibition Opening

Join us for an opening celebration at Wānaka Library Saturday, 18 February from 10.30am.

Wānaka Library is delighted to be hosting the Blue Stories Project exhibition in partnership with Central Lakes Family Services. This pop-art portrait collection was created by Nelson artist, Karolina Gorton, each portrait is accompanied by a story out of perinatal depression. These inspiring stories help to educate communities & encourage the discussion of perinatal and postnatal depression. Hear from Wellbeing Navigator Lisa Gear, Alex Weehuizen from Precious Beginnings and Mary Mansell from Headlight. Browse the exhibition and enjoy live music from the Wānaka Ukulele Group and morning tea.

This is a wonderful opportunity for local families to connect with each other and our family community support services. Pop into the Wānaka Library and check out our display full of parenting resources.

ADMINISTRATION ROLE | FIXEDTERM

Friends of Bullock Creek which is an Incorporated Society, have been granted funds by the Otago Catchment Group Inc to facilitate a fixed term contract for an administration role to support our mandate in protecting and enhancing Bullock Creek and its environs.

Ideally we are looking for someone - who is keen to support our committee of volunteers in our quest to protect and enhance Bullock Creek - has some experience in communications with the community including via social media. - is self driven and able to work independently. This role would require working from home, for around 5 hours per week.

Lunch Chef Business Opportunity

Estimator - Wanaka

GJ Gardner is the leading builder of quality homes in NZ, and is experiencing continuing growth nationally. We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our Wanaka team.

The person appointed to this role will be responsible for the following:

• Prepare estimates.

• Full take-off, & pricing of plans using our in-house costing system.

• Price and prepare client variations.

• Liase with suppliers & sub-contractors.

• Prepare management reports.

The ideal applicant for this role will have previous experience working as an Estimator in residential home building in New Zealand, be familiar with the Building Code, and know how a house ‘goes together’. You must be client focused, and able to work without supervision, while also being committed to meeting deadlines and following speci c franchise policies and procedures.

Excellent communication and written language abilities are essential. Training will be given on using our in-house software. Applicants will require a pro cient level of computer literacy.

Remuneration will be commensurate with quali cations and experience in the industry.
