Mouth watering line-up for Lane Cove’s Food and Wine by the River Sunday 5th November, Tambourine Bay Reserve, Riverview Combining the best of Sydney with the best of the country, Lane Cove’s annual Food and Wine by the River is on again, with fourteen popular regional wine and food stallholders setting up for the day. To be held on Sunday 5th November from 11.00am – 5.00pm, this popular Council-run event attracted over 3,400 Sydneysiders last year, who enjoyed soaking up the water views while sampling the finest produce from the Orange region. The event will showcase the cool climate wine growing region of Orange, and stallholders will be offering a gourmet experience. Premium Orange region wineries represented will include Cumulus Estate Wines, De Salis Wines, Heifer Station Wines, Highland Heritage, Logan Wines, Philip Shaw Wines, Ross Hill Wines, See Saw Wines, Small Acres Cyder,
Strawhouse Wines, Tamburlaine Organic Wines, and Twisted River Wines. To get to know the variety of tastes of this high altitude, cool-climate growing region, you can sample by the glass (120ml) for $8, or half glass (60 ml) for $4. Local Orange foodies Franklin Road Kitchen and Greentrees Preserves will be there, together with All Fired Up, Berlin Bangers, Sofrito Paella, Serendipity Ice Cream and Pull n’ Shots Coffee. Unplugged musician Josh Maynard from Orange was a huge hit with appreciative crowds last year, and will be providing live entertainment again in November. Lane Cove Public School bands will open the day from 11am. Mayor of Lane Cove, Clr Pam Palmer is inviting the community to join in. “Lane Cove features many beautiful waterside parks and Tambourine Bay Reserve has proven to be the perfect
location for the popular Food and Wine by the River event. “This November enjoy the sunshine with friends and family while savouring some of NSW’s finest produce, right on our own doorstep here in Lane Cove”. This family-friendly event includes free face painting and an animal petting farm for the kids. Dogs on a leash can come too. As it is a licensed event, no BYO or glass is permitted. A free shuttle bus will be running from the Lane Cove Library down to the event so you can leave the car at home. Held in partnership with Lane Cove Council, Food and Wine by the River is proudly sponsored by Orange City Council as part of its ‘Visit Orange’ campaign, aimed at inspiring visitors to explore Orange and the region’s many vineyards, cellar doors, cafés, restaurants, farm gates and wine bars.
