The mission of The Tech’s Bowers Institute is to provide teachers with the training they need to feel confident fostering their students’ inherent problem-solving abilities. Tomorrow’s careers will require innovative thinkers who can collaborate on teams and be comfortable with failure and ongoing iteration; our Design Challenge Learningbased professional development shows educators how to successfully implement that structure and mindset in their learning spaces. We work with you to customize half-day, full-day or multi-day professional development sessions that perfectly meet the needs of your staff, school or district. Visit us online at thetech.org/bowersinstitute to request a professional development session.
Educator Resources Access our growing library of design challenge lesson plans, videos and facilitation guides to help you build confidence in hands-on engineering and problem-based activities.

Tech Academies The Tech Academies Fellowship Program supports districtwide, cross-curricular engineering and computationalthinking instruction through a growing network of STEM education leaders. Each year our partner school districts and expanded learning programs select 40 educators to participate in a two-year fellowship focusing on the engineering design process, with an emphasis on integrating mechanical or software engineering into their instruction. Visit thetech.org/tafellowship to learn about our network of partner districts and organizations, read about program impact and request more information.
