As a Journalism student working as a Residence Advisor, Patricia discovered she was naturally inclined to help people through tough times, prompting her to pursue a second Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Alberta. With her gift for helping others and commitment to academic excellence, as Beta Chi’s Scholarship Director Patricia has transformed the chapter’s scholarship support programming, implementing mandatory study hours, connecting members with a “study buddy” system, and recognizing sisters for their academic accomplishments, which has resulted in an improvement in the chapter’s overall GPA.
