Kimberly says serving as Chief Executive Officer of the Omicron Chapter was “challenging, but by far the most rewarding year of my life so far.” She also attended ELI in 2013 and Grand Convention in 2014, interned for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and recently studied abroad in Madrid, Spain. Under Kimberly’s leadership, Omicron participated in the Don’t Break the Chain letter-writing effort and also contributed a total of $25,000 to Give To Lead, Give To Learn—the largest gift from any college chapter. As a Journalism student working as a Residence Advisor, Patricia discovered she was naturally inclined to help people through tough times, prompting her to pursue a second Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Alberta. With her gift for helping others and commitment to academic excellence, as Beta Chi’s Scholarship Director Patricia has transformed the chapter’s scholarship support programming, implementing mandatory study hours, connecting members with a “study buddy” system, and recognizing sisters for their academic accomplishments, which has resulted in an improvement in the chapter’s overall GPA.
