Communication & New Media Dublin, Ireland
The way we communicate with one another is rapidly changing, as is how we stay connected with friends, family and the world around us. How do we learn to stay connected, create meaningful inter-cultural communication, and develop understanding in this new-media world?
Designed for students interested in international communication and new media, this exclusive 4-week SAF program uses lectures, site visits, and professional development practicums to focus on the industry of new media. Students will understand how social platforms, mobile devices, and their institutional and political frameworks shape cultures through content production, distribution, and use of information.
Through IES Abroad, SAF manages end-to-end logistics including curriculum development, pre-departure support, health and safety orientation, housing, transport, academic coordinator, site visits and high-level staff support for all students and staff on the program.

“The program (…regarding the SAF/IES customized program) ‘brought to life what students have learnt from books, often leading to an epiphany… The program was the first international project of the School of History and Culture, which marks a significant milestone in the internationalization of the School. Thanks to SAF for its great support and excellent service!”
