Who

Brian Berendts (Robert) Brian Berendts is thrilled to return to the stage after a 6 year absence. He has appeared onstage for numerous professional and community theaters for over 30 years in Cincinnati and Columbus in addition to print and commercial work. Brian is a psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner during the day. He is grateful to Mark and the entire production staff for trusting him with this role.

Josh Braden (Trevor) Josh is an actor based in Chicago, and he is thrilled to be back in Cincinnati for The Play That Goes Wrong (as is his family). Though he started acting in theater camps at a very young age, what made him want to continue was the empathy that acting inspired within him to listen to others and approach life from outside of oneself. He was a part of CHCA's theater here in Cincinnati, then moved company for some years to Wheaton College's Arena Theater where he performed in Pride and Prejudice (Mr. Wickham), Antigone (Haemon), and Peter and the Starcatcher (Peter/Boy). More recently, he has been finding work in film as well, performing in Milo (Milo) which is currently making its round in festival circuits. He is forever indebted to his wonderful family and friends as well as his late pet and friend, Cedric.

Justin Hanks (Chris) Justin is a web developer, writer, and self-proclaimed Pokémon master. His award-winning stage credits include Seussical (Horton), Beauty and the Beast (Beast), Wizard of Oz (Cowardly Lion), Children of Eden (Father), Dearly Departed (Royce), Rumors (Ken), and The Great American Trailer Park Musical (Norbert). He is excited to be back with The Story Collective for a whopping seventh time! Not only has he appeared in their latest productions of Variety (Brick) and Orphan of Oz (Tin Woodman), but he now proudly Director of Outreach. Outside of TSC, Justin often performs with Loveland recently appearing in Curtains (Bobby), Mission: Possible (Maxwell), Twelfth Night (Sebastian), and Crushin’ It – the latter of which he wrote and co-directed. Up next, you can catch him in Mason Community Players’ production of Escanaba In Da Moonlight (Remnar) as well as The Queen City Vaudevillians’ monthly variety shows. Justin thanks his family and friends for all their love and support, as well as everyone who is attending tonight’s performance. Hopefully nothing goes wrong…

abe Hoyer (Jonathan) Gabe is ecstatic to be returning once again to the TSC stage! His previous credits with The Story Collective include The Epic Story (Janitor), The Musical of Musicals: The Musical! (Jitter), and Variety (Brock). Gabe is also a member of TSC’s improv group, Collective Effort. Gabe The Actor is grateful for the opportunity continue to perform and create with such a wonderful group of people. Meanwhile, Gabe The TSC Managing Director thanks all of you for your support of this organization and hopes you enjoy the show!

Colin Jung (Max) Collin is so excited to be back on stage with The Story Collective for this show. He previously played Hugh LeSham in The Epic Story with TSC, as well as other roles outside of TSC including Marius in Les Misérables and Naphtali in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. A recent graduate of UINDY’s communication program, Collin has since moved into the film industry and looks to make a positive influence on the world of entertainment. He would like to dedicate the show to The Story Collective for bringing joy and love into his life.

S n Jung (Annie) Susan is the Artistic Director and cofounder Story Collective as well as the Director and Choreographer for ard winning Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy Theatre Department. With over 20 years in the business, she has directed over length productions, taught musical theater dance and acting for prep, led/taught over 50 musical theater camps, and taught musical theatre, and dance at the Tony award winning Playhouse in the Park and one of the stage directors for the Christmas show “Awaited.” She is also a mentor for the Jumpstart Theatre Program (pioneered in Cincinnati) through EDTA where she works with underserved middle school educators to help them start and maintain a theatre program. As a playwright, several of her original plays have been produced in Cincinnati, Arizona, and Utah. Susan maintains her professional acting career with films (including Between Mercy and Me which was released this summer!), regional and national commercials, print ads, and voice-overs while performing regionally with Murder and Merriment. Favorite roles include Abby in The Musical of Musicals the Musical (TSC) , Emily Penrose in Lifespan of a Fact (Falcon Theatre), and Abigail Williams in The Crucible (TCTC). She holds a B.A. in theatre from Northern Kentucky University. Much love to my family.

This is his second production with The Story Collective. He has been in several productions around the area as well as around Frankfort and Louisville.
