At 20 years old, Geraldine, known for her singing and acting, was hailed as this year’s “most important new star” by those present at the venue. Born to a Filipino mother Gina Cariaga and British father Frank Jennings, Geraldine has been a talent since childhood. Moving to the UK, she participated in singing contests and developed her skills. Geraldine attended the British School Manila before relocating to the UK in 2009. Subsequently, the family moved to Edinburgh in Scotland, where she completed her high school education at Fettes College and Loretto School. Despite residing abroad, Geraldine makes it a point to visit the Philippines three times a year, maintaining a second home in Manila. Her mother accompanies her during these visits. Inspired by Miley Cyrus, Geraldine idolized her musical style and versatility. Additionally, she admires actors Gal Gadot and Margot Robbie for their performances in Wonder Woman, Barbie, and Wolf of Wall Street, respectively. “If you asked me which one I prefer, I’d say I can do both. I can sing and act, and I think that’s always been the trend in
showbiz. I’m taking this opportunity to showcase my talents,” she told the press. Geraldine, who is currently studying Business Management at the University of London, expressed her excitement for her upcoming showbiz career. Set to debut in the Solid Gold Entertainment Production movie Isla Babuyan, she shares her passion for singing, guitar playing, and filmmaking. In the movie, Geraldine is paired with Jameson Blake, and she also collaborates with Urian-winning actress Lotlot de Leon. Beyond showbiz, Geraldine revealed her openness to represent the Philippines in international beauty pageants. Despite training for the country’s top pageants, she acknowledges the need for more experience before joining in the future. “I trained in the same camp where Michelle Dee had her training,” she said. For her music career, Geraldine is set to record an original composition by Ogie Alcasid. Juggling studies, showbiz, and pageantry poses challenges, but Geraldine, a frequent traveler to the US, London, Scotland, and Asia, believes she can manage it all.
