OAD to Starkada, a one-of-a-kind journey to stardom that goes beyond the conventional norms of talent search, is premierIng tomorrow on Net 25. “The show is dedicated to unlocking the untapped potential of Filipino teens, showcasing their resilience and exceptional talent,” says Net25’s Star Center Artist Management head Eric Quizon. “It’s a reality show that goes beyond entertainment,
providing a platform for our youth to shine and showcase their unique abilities,” Quizon adds. Thirty-three vibrant and aspiring talents including Aaron Gonzalez, Arwen Cruz, Bo Bautista, Celyn David, Chelsea Bon, Crissie Mathay, Dana Davids, David Racelis, Drei Arias, Enrico Cruz, Gera Suarez, Gia Gonzales, Jam Aquino, Jannah Madrid, John
Heindrick, Juan Atienza, Kanishia Santos, Marco Ramos, Migs Rubia, Mischka Mathay, Miyuki de Leon, Nate Reyes, Nicky Gilbert, Ornella Brianna, Patrick Roxas, Rachel Gabreza, Shira Tweg, Sofi Fermazi, Tim Figueroa, Via Lorica, Victoria Wood, Yvan Castro, and Zach Francisco, will navigate a transformative path filled with weekly challenges designed to push their creativity, teamwork, and adaptability to new heights. Road to Starkada, according to Quizon isn’t just a competition; it serves as a platform for positivity, incorporating social media campaigns and advocacy projects addressing crucial issues such as mental health, pet responsibility, and global warming.
“The show distinguishes itself through a ‘Transformation Factory,’ where StarKadas will undergo skillenhancing workshops in acting, dancing, voice, make-up, styling, and personality development, all guided by industry experts,” Quizon explains. Weekly challenges are designed to showcase raw talent and add an exciting dynamic to the competition. Interactivity takes center stage with mall shows and campus tours, providing opportunities for StarKadas to connect with their audience, fostering real connections, and engaging with fans. Road to Starkada premieres tomorrow, Dec. 18, and will air weekdays at 5:30 p.m. on Net25.

Released under O/C Records, this 13-track masterpiece delves into the depths of Adie’s experiences during the pandemic, from fantasies and emotions to imaginations and lived experiences. Senaryo acts as a collection of Adie’s inner world, woven with threads of familiar melodies and fresh discoveries. Familiar tunes like “Paraluman,” “Tahanan,” and the Janine Berdin collaboration “Mahika” find their place alongside newer releases like “Kursunada,” “G.K.Y.A.M.,”

RISING STAR WINS BEST NEW ARTIST AT ALIW AWARDS JERI Violago, stage name Jeri, emerged victorious at the 36th Aliw Awards, taking home the coveted Best New Male Artist trophy. The young singer-songwriter, fresh off releasing his debut single “Gusto Kita,” was visibly moved by the recognition, expressing his gratitude for the honor after just a year in the entertainment industry. Held on December 11 at the historic Centennial Hall of the Manila Hotel, the Aliw Awards is the Philippines’ longest-running recognition program for excellence in live entertainment. Earning a win on this stage signifies Jeri’s potential as a rising star, particularly noteworthy as he joins the ranks of past Best New Male Artist recipients like Bamboo, Erik Santos, and Sam Milby. Jeri’s debut single, “Gusto Kita,” co-composed and produced by veteran musician Vehnee Saturno and Jeri himself, has already captured hearts and is now available on all major streaming platforms. Recently, the 23-year-old signed a three-tier contract with ABS-CBN Music under Tarsier Records, making him the singer, songwriter, and record producer. From a young age, Jeri showcased a passion for music, starting with classical training at UP Conservatory of Music in grade school. At Ateneo de Manila University, his talent flourished, leading Il Voce to victory at the 2014 Musikapella competition and winning the 2011 Ateneo Grade School singing contest. As vice president of the Ateneo Senior High School Glee Club, Jeri demonstrated leadership. These early achievements foreshadowed his promising musical career, highlighting his dedication, strong vocals, and versatility that would lead to national success.
