Bay Gas Past President Jack O’Loughlin Honored Brookhaven Town officials, community leaders, family and friends joined efforts on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 to rename McGraw Street in Shirley as “Jack O’Loughlin” street. The re-naming was done by a special resolution that was approved earlier this year by the Brookhaven Town Board to honor Jack O’Loughlin, the past President and owner of Bay Gas Service who passed away last September. Jack was also an active member of the chamber of commerce and owner of the South Shore Press.

Run Wild 5K Walk/Run

More than 350 children and adults of all ages attended the Run Wild 5K Walk/Run under sunny skies on Saturday. The backdrop was the Brookhaven Town Ecology Center and the event was held to raise funds to support the Brookhaven Wildlife Center and the Kaeli Kramer Foundation.

Members of the Library Board, administration and staff were joined by Brookhaven Town, Suffolk County and NYS elected officials on Sunday, June 4th for a “Celebration of Literacy”.
