The Royal Conservatory’s 2025–26 concert season promises an exciting blend of tradition and innovation. In honour of Oscar Peterson’s 100th birthday, we will present a three-day festival that celebrates the legacy of this Canadian jazz icon. We are also thrilled to introduce a brand new concert series, Orchestrated, spotlighting genre-bending artists playing with our own Royal Conservatory Orchestra—expanding our musical offerings and welcoming new audiences to experience the power of live performance.

Benny Green, Christian McBride, and the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra

Day two’s celebration starts with a nod to Peterson’s 1977 release, Oscar and the Bassists, featuring Christian McBride, John Clayton, and others, with Benny Green on piano, and Jeff Hamilton on drums, along with a live recording of his AFRICA! Suite featuring the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, Green, and McBride. Hosted by The Honourable Justice Rosalie Abella.

Oscar Peterson’s 100th Birthday (Part III)

Oscar Solo and Cecile McLorin-Salvant

Hear Oscar’s solo compositions played by an all-star lineup of pianists: Makoto Ozone, Isaiah J. Thompson, Jon Kimura Parker, and Thompson Egbo-Egbo. Renowned vocalist Cécile McLorin Salvant and her trio perform more music composed by the legendary pianist.

Rush Tickets

A limited number of Rush Tickets are available starting 3 hours before all performances presented by The Royal Conservatory. They are limited to 2 tickets per person. Seat locations are assigned at the discretion of the box office. Rush Tickets are available by phone only, on a firstcome first-served basis.

Listening Room

You are welcome to request seats in our Listening Room in Koerner Hall, separate from the main audience. The Listening Room is for people with sensory considerations to enjoy the concert away from the crowd, in a scent free environment, where the volume can be controlled as the concert is watched through a glass window.

Gift certificates are available for purchase in any denomination and can be redeemed for concert or event tickets at The Royal Conservatory either online, in person, or by phone.

All ticket prices already include HST and service charges – no additional fees are added. All ticket sales are final. No refunds or cancellations. Exchanges for Royal Subscribers are permitted up to 48 hours before the performance and are subject to a fee. Artists, dates, and programs are subject to change without notice.
