Hear the Canadian premiere of Hussain’s tabla concerto, Peshkar, and the world premiere of Patitucci’s Hypocracy for orchestra and jazz trio, featuring Danilo Pérez on piano, Brain Blade on drums, and Patitucci on bass. The concert will open with an improvisation by Hussain with this phenomenal trio.

One to watch, Juno Awardwinning saxophonist Au, opens the show. The Royal Conservatory has commissioned both Pérez and Au to write new pieces, which will premiere at this concert.

• A quiet room in Koerner Hall, separated from the audience, for people with sensory considerations, those on the autism spectrum, ADD/ADAHD, or a learning disability. Concerts are watched through a glass window, with controllable volume.

Many of our Koerner Hall classical concerts start with a musical appetizer, where the main concert is preceded by a short performance by talented students of The Glenn Gould School and other invited guest artists.
